Physiology
A wraith is an incorporeal undead creature born of evil and darkness, despising light and all living things. They drain the life from living creatures, turning them into new wraiths upon death. Wraiths are utterly powerless in natural sunlight, appearing as a sinister, spectral figure robed in darkness. They have no visual features or appendages, except for their glowing red eyes.
Psychology
Wraiths are cursed with the fading memories of their former lives, feeling the abject emptiness inside of themselves in their undead form. Driven by malice, envy and despair, they compulsively consume the vitality they themselves can never possess again. They all possess darkvision and shun the sunlight, so they’re encountered only at night; in some shuttered, haunted locale; or underground. Wraiths want to kill everyone and everything, not so much concerned with who dies first. However, wraiths have just enough intelligence to choose their targets, and they choose on the basis of goodness. Wraiths’ compulsion is malice, and the purer the heart, the more they want to see it stop beating.
Wraith Society
Wraiths have no society, but rather congregate in areas of vast darkness and necrotic energy together until night falls and they leave to spread torment once more.
Wraiths & Religion
Wraiths hold no religion to themselves. However, they are sometimes driven to worship whatever gods they had in life if such deities condone their existence.
Wraith History
Wraiths have very little history as a society as they are primarily beings raised by Necromancy or some other dark energy. Their history started the exact same time Necromancy did.
