DROW HOUSES FALL, UNDEAD OVERRUN TRIST'OTH

The Drow Houses of Trist'oth have fallen to the relentless onslaught of the undead. Reports indicate that the once-proud Queendom is now overrun by hordes of Alithyk Caluss' undead army, leaving only rubble and decay in its wake.

Survivors are fleeing the city, with many seeking refuge in nearby caves and other underground shelters. The streets are choked with panicked Drow, their faces etched with fear as they flee from the advancing hordes of undead. The stench of death and decay hangs heavy in the air, a constant reminder of the horrors that have befallen Trist'oth.

Eyewitnesses report that the undead seem to multiply with each victory, making it seem as if they are an unstoppable force, hell-bent on turning all life into their own kind of twisted undeath. The situation is dire, with the fate of the entire Drow race hanging in the balance.

It is not yet clear if any of the noble Houses have survived the attack, or if any leadership remains to coordinate a response. The only thing that is certain is that time is running out, and the undead army shows no sign of slowing down.

The fate of Trist'oth, and possibly the entire continent of Lithrydel, hangs in the balance.

  • The Razurath successfully launched a surprise attack against Trist'oth. The army, led by General Aetherclaw, drilled up from below on the western outskirts of the city. They rained lava down from above. They were in possession of a magic-nullifying sphere. Their spearguns flashed blinding light. Chaos, carnage, and heavy drow casualties quickly follows. Matron Gevurah, Daath, Mais, and Lanlan did all they could to save the city.

  • House D’l’sel D’issan bears full blame for the temporary setback on the surface. Matron Laezila withdrew her forces and entrusted drow secrets to the traitor Nymh despite High Priestess Gevurah’s prophetic warning. • A female, orcish beast was captured by Trist’oth’s guard and questioned by the First Daughter of House D’Artes Gevurah, High Priestess of Vakmatharas. Lady Gevurah’s expert interrogation at Fort Trist’oth revealed that the orc was an assassin sent by Sylvan elf authorities whose names were revealed during the interrogation, but are being withheld from the paper for security purposes. The assassin was sent to undermine the power of Trist’oth both above and below ground. Under the power of High Priestess Gevurah, the orc was then delivered directly up to Vakmatharas in a beam of dark light, as witnessed by soldiers who were awed by the First Daughter’s tremendous power.
  • Yet another massacre of drow has taken place, this time in the Kelay-Sage area. It was a drow scouting party was slain but it is unknown by whose hand. The Council suspects the assailant may be the same who killed drow on Kelay Way a couple of months ago. This still unidentified perpetrator is a winged, dragon-like beast with drow features. All those slain were commoners of no import.

    • One of the newest Houses in Trist'Oth, House Drue'Lian, has been completely obliterated. As always in the Underdark, no house is taking responsibility, and very few care enough to find out the truth (At least, after learning it was the work of drow, and not anyone else). It was weak; made when the eldest daughter of a higher ranking House left to create her own, knowing she would never get true power with her mother still alive... She didn't even have time to regret this foolish decision... On an unrelated (if you ask anyone from House Stavret, anyway) note: Patron Kuzial's House has gained a few more soldiers. If asked, they will swear unto death that they were always part of House Stavret, and didn't even know House Drue'Lian ever existed... not that any dark elves would ever bother to ask.

Several of the hook-limbed beasts had suffered severe burns. The beasts were prevented from entering any major city thoroughfares and were promptly dispatched by a party of scouts from the House Stavret. No House has yet admitted responsibility for the outbreak.
