Kuzial Stavret is a drow. If you are an elf, he will try to kill you.

History

Kuzial is the patron of House Stavret, fifth house in Trist'Oth

Kuzial Stavret, former weapon master of House Stavret, came to the surface to help eradicate the elves during House D'Artes' war on the drow's surface cousins. He gave up the high position of weapon master to do so, returning to his station of Elderboy, highest living son of the patron Vorx. During his time on the surface he met Cornelius Von Penzance. Within moments the two had crossed blades within Kelay Tavern, but with the unwelcome and unwarranted interference from Larket's deputy sheriff, they decided to continue their battle within the dark streets of Vailkrin.

Sorely wounded after the battle, though it ended on somewhat amicable terms, he returned to his Underdark home to heal. During that time his house was usurped by House Ist'Ro. His father, Patron Vorx, conceded the war rather than risk his own life in battle, leaving his house no longer amongst the Drow Council.

After many months Kuzial rose from his bed with vengeance fuelling his every motivation. It took mere weeks to gain a following as he loudly proclaimed the theft of his house's rightful place amongst Trist'Oth's complicated ruling elite. And barely a month after leaving the healing rooms, flanked by the house weapon master and high general of their forces, he entered his father's throne room and ended his century long reign.

He did not slay former patron Vorx, though. Instead he incapacitated his father for nefarious plans, and took his seat as Kuzial, Patron of House Stavret.

Hatred and anger drive this drow's every movement. He will not rest, he will not stop, until his house once again sits in the highest seats of power within Trist'Oth.

Now

  • After months of battles, insults, bargains and plans, the drow has destroyed the dandy, Cornelius. On Vailkrin's dark streets he tore the human in half. There is a marked improvement in his mood since the dandy died, though whether or not this will last is highly doubtful.
  • After slaying the dandy, Kuzial begun to feel the calling of an ancient evil within the Underdark. Never one to miss the chance for personal gain, the patron of House Stavret ignored his orders to stay away from Trist'Oth and entered the dark city of the drow. As he progressed through the darkness the call got stronger, until he was compelled beyond his will to travel deep into the caverns of the Underdark proper, and there he found, clutched by the ivory fingers of a skeleton, the E'et-Nilah Blade. Once belonging to Trist'Oth's patron, Keter, it was lost when he died. But its power has not waned, nor has its constant desire to render flesh and souls alike. Kuzial has claimed the blade, a fine addition to his recently acquired Penzance Sabre, and now he returns to the surface more eager for blood than ever before.
  • In the dark streets of Vailkrin, Kuzial killed the swamp pixie, Ginger. He obtained Shattered Dream as well as other powerful items from her corpse.
  • After trying to kill the vampire, Kirien, then being healed by him in Frostmaw following a battle with Kasyr, Kuzial recieved from the terramancer a beautifully crafted crossbow. The first thing he did was shoot the empath with it.
  • In the Cenril arena, despite the man's preparations, Kuzial removed Muraski's eye. Such is the fate of those who challenge the drow.
  • In Frostmaw, Kuzial defeated Satoshi's sworn sword, the undead knight, Ignatius. He has advanced in the Frostmaw Tournament, though the only reason he bothered to enter the tournament was to destroy the idiot Kasyr. He cares nothing for this latest win, only for the final prize.
  • Something dark... something evil... something has corrupted the already psychotic Patron of House Stavret... What will come of this is unknown, but his hunger for death and destruction is growing daily... the world best beware.
  • Kuzial cut off most of Daisy's tail, and went about eating a portion of it in front of her. This act cheered him up for a moment or two, before he coughed up a furball. Once again he is not happy.
  • After vanishing inexplicably for a while, Kuzial has returned to Hollow. There will be stabbery.
  • Hearing there will be violence, Kuzial has travelled to Frostmaw to participate in the Festival of Aramoth. He has little desire to join in the games proposed, but much desire to stab as many people in Satoshi's kingdom as he can... he hopes her husband shows his face.
  • Kuzial has returned to Trist'Oth, into the confines of House Stavret. After the venture in Frostmaw, he has decided he truly can't stand everything on the surface... the higher up you go, the more he hates it. So he will remain within the Underdark for as long as possible, plotting vicious traps within his homeland for the other Houses. It's about time the relative peace in Trist'Oth was shattered, and there's no better hammer than the Patron of House Stavret.
  • Stand in his way at your peril. And if you're an elf, you are at peril regardless of where you stand. Be wary, for his blades are hungry.

Kuzial's weapons

  • House Stavret Soulstone Insignia: A formerly glittering ruby, now a dark ebon stone, worn by the patron of House Stavret at all times. It once incarcerated his father's tortured essence, but when Kuzial's sword was shattered after stabbing Sacrilus, the drow used his insignia to trap the power of the weapon, destroying his father's soul in the process.
  • Shattered Dream: Kuzial destroyed the blade in Vailkrin in an attempt to destroy Leifong and stop him casting his necromantic magic... for Kuzial was shown by Maladroit an image of what Tenebrae has become... or did become... or will become... and it was the first time in a very, very long time the dark elf was truly afraid. He did not want anyone playing with the type of magic that brought Maladroit back, for fear it will return Tenebrae, too.
  • E'et-Nilah Blade: Once owned by Trist'Oth's patron, Keter, the sentient sword is one of the most powerful drow blades ever created. It was shattered after stabbing the former general of Arrecation's armies, and then stolen by Gevurah, though its sentient essence was trapped within Kuzial's insignia.
  • Penzance Sabre: Once owned by the dandy, Cornelius, until his demise at the hands of Kuzial. The sword is unnaturally sharp at all times and almost unbreakable. Though the weapon is of exceptional quality, the drow only uses it as a lingering mockery to the dandy. It was briefly gifted to Kasyr to seal his truce with the Kensai, but since the bug vanished back into the shadows, the pact was made void. All that is left for Kuzial is to retrieve the blade from its protected place... though, he holds no illusions the protections in place will also seek his death. He would be disappointed otherwise.
  • Carrion-Crow Crossbow: Given to him by Kirien, the weapon is a beautifully designed crossbow, a favoured weapon of the dark elves. Upon receiving it, the first thing Kuzial did was shoot Kirien.
  • His daggers: How many daggers Kuzial keeps on himself isn't clear, but it's been said it's enough to shame a small army. Hidden about his armour in secret sheathes, the drow weapon master always has one handy. Of all the weapons Kuzial uses, he is most proficient with the dagger.
  • Black Sabre: Left within the confines of House Stavret, deep in the Underdark, Kuzial's black sabre is one of the symbols of his rulership over the house, along with his powerful insignia.
  • The Drow Councilist Badge isn't exactly a weapon, though it always remains on Kuzial's person. It allows him access to the drow council chambers on the rare event that the leaders of the five strongest Houses meet to discuss the paths Trist'Oth must take.
  • Engraved Morningstar - Taken from the walls of House Stavret, this morningstar belonged to a priestess of the Spider Goddess many years ago. During the tumultuous time in Trist'Oth when the temple was first locked to the priestesses, many became prey to the vicious, bitter males who for so long had lived under their tyrannical rule. At some stage a warrior of Stavret slew a priestess and took her weapon. Such prizes always return to Kuzial, though. And like all his other weapons the morningstar came to decorate the war-room in his House. But now he is once again stalking the surface, he has chosen to take it with him while the Penzance Sabre is held by Kasyr. The weapon holds no enchantments at all; its engravings are merely a symbol of its former owner's devotion to the Spider Goddess.
  • Stabitha, his Trained Attack Beetle. This beetle lives by Kelay. It attacks people who walk by.
  • A Bulbous Spider named Boris. Given to him by the queen of Enchantment to look after, the large spider is often seen around Kuzial when he stalks the dark depths of the Underdark. He likes the spider... well, as much as Kuzial can like anything.
