Noemi's Workshop
Lulu :: MACU. Massive Annihilation Chaos Unit. Also known as eight legged Hell. Though quiet at the moment 'cept for the occasional release of steam, it was self-aware. Hax they would call it. It. It had life. No lungs, no heart - but a mind and soul. Bioengineered terror, bigger than a mansion. Designed to destroy. Suddenly a leg lifts, and slams into the ground. It didn't know it's own strength. The noise was tremendous. A large dent in the cement floor of Noemi's warehouse was left proof. She'd told it they were going to go on a walk. It's creator was going to take it on a walk. Mother wasn't around. Mother was busy. Always busy. Another one of Hax's legs rose, fell, chipped away solid stone. It was thinking about moving. The massive form of a mechanical Scorpion, held by chain. Chains would not hold It. It began to move toward the far wall of the large warehouse. Mindlessly trampling any stray box, crate, or object that was in Its way.
Noemi was inside her home, quite a day to rest it seems, she had been working months just to get MACU done, and finally, after almost half a year, the whole being is created, making her feel fulfilled. Doing her usual routine, Noemi takes a glass of water from the kitchen, moving toward her work table, reading her notes as if planning on creating something new. Then.... there it was... the water.... Noemi slightly tilts her head as she stare at the glass of water, it was moving... rumbling, as if something is breaking its peace, blinking a few times as she check the ground. No... its not earthquake, she told herself, turning toward the warehouse door, she opens the small window and peeks in, her eyes seems to widen as the large robot starting moving, trying to free itself, wanting to break the chains that is holding it, breaking her equipment, "Hey! Hax! wait! what are you doing!!" she hurriedly move her hand toward the knob, unlocking it, wanting to open the door and stop her creation.
Lulu :: Slow and lumberous, MACU was the child of an eccentric maid. The behemoth of mithril, steam and scales detected Mother talking. It kept moving stubburnly, slowly, binding chains began weakening. It's massive tail swept up over it's form, tearing into the warehouse ceiling and begining to make a long, wide and jagged hole as it progressed mindlessly toward the wall.
Noemi was finally able to open the door, evading the falling chains as they snap like thread against the large being, "Stop! you are going to~" then a large section of the warehouse started to fall away, "Never mind...." the feline frowned and started running after it, "Hey, Hax! Hax!" trying to get its attention, hopefully she would be able to get it back into her house.
Lulu :: Hax doesn't seem to hear Noemi, or at least percieve her commands, or care. It was determined! And not surprisingly, unperturbed by the warehouse falling away.
Noemi kept on jumping away, can't even get close to the scorpion as rocks, beams seems to fall on any place she steps on, forcing her to stay back until everything have fell, ruining some of her work, hopefully most are on the other side of the warehouse. She had expected this, her creation must not get out, disastrous things can happen if it gets near any town, letting the beast walk out as she can't even move an inch from where she is standing, giving it a good five or so minutes to walk away, checking what's left on the ceiling first before running toward MACU
Rohen :: MACU stormed out of the workshop, his mind addled and confused as he moved away from the imprisoning chains and establishment he had been in for so long. Moving about as he stepped outside, a curious child like enthusiam rushing over him as he looked about the various things he had never seen before. The mountains themselves were not so easy for the scorpion to traverse, no not for Macu, instead he had to move through the area slowly, trying to keep it's grip upon the ground as it slowly made it's way towards Kelay, the town it saw in the distance, a town full of people. Afterall, people were new to MACU and MACU was like a child, always curious of new things.
Noemi chases after it, even though the massive thing is slow, it distance it can cover it quite large, chasing over it, "Wait! Hax! come back here!!" but the child stubbornly wanted to go out, making her wonder if he even hears her, "Hey! Stop! don't go there!" trying to run as fast as she could, chasing it.
Town in the trees
Rohen :: Macu continued on it's course, it's tremendous body causing the earth to shake as it walked along the path. It moves closer towards the town, looking down at one of the small people trembled in front of it's giant form. Reaching down with a large claw to pick the person up, Hax squeezed the man with his claw. The man himself was crying out in pain, screaming loudly from the pain the the mechanical creation put him in. The scorpion didn't know any better however, as it continued to clamp down tighter and tigher upon the man until finally a loud cracking was heard as the man became compacted and killed. Blood filled the monster's claw, as he looked down at it, furious at the man's reluctance to play with him. Stomping up and down with his feet, a large trembling would be felt to anyone in the area, enough to knock most off their feet.
Noemi's eyes widen in disbelief as Hax killed a civilian, playing with its dead body as if it is a mere toy, using that moment to make a run for it, climbing the creatures leg upon to top side, trying to open the cockpit's door, slightly predicting that the beast have locked the door, hopefully he didn't as this is the only way she can stop the child, not really control him, but atleast momentarily stop him.
Rohen :: MACU did not notice the maid as she climbed up his back and moved into his latch. He continued on his path towards the center of town, looking for another toy to play with, as it reached down to claw another poor helpless woman inside his claws.
Noemi forced the door open, jumping down toward the cockpit, pulling down some of the pulley's forcing the beast to stop. She cannot control the beast fully as it can move on its own, the only thing that she can do in that cockpit is to make him do the navigation, aside from that, she can stop the limbs by the chains connected from each part to the cockpit, hopefully the chains doesn't break, wanting to stop the being
Rohen :: Macu was not going to be stopped on it's new exploratory and curious movements. It's feet kept on treading through the dirt, much easier to find footing here then in the mountains. It's outraged temper tantrom could only be seen now, by the tail that kept slamming on the ground behind it. The poor woman that had gotten picked up in it's claws was quickly being squished as well, sooner or later her fate would be similar to the mans. Suddenly, the front leg of the giant beast stopped moving, causing it to topple forward, releasing the poor lady from his claw as she smashed into the ground, dying upon impact. Standing up once more, the scorpion continued on it's path, a bit slower none the less from the new pull of Noemi's leavers, but he continues on, stepping on the dead girl's corpse as he continues towards the much larger masses of kelay.
Noemi grunts harder as try to pull the pulley further, hoping that it would stop, grunting louder, finally she releases it, predicting to turn the beast off balance at the sudden release, climbing out of the cockpit, she has to have enough time to show herself infront of the child, that she would be able ask it to go back home, wanting to stop him.
Rohen :: Macu crashed to the ground once more, stumbling downwards, as the earth began to shake from the sudden weight crashing into the ground below. The walls of the buildings around it began to tremble, along with the trees as the swayed back and forth massively with the earthquake. With this sudden inconvience, the child before it stood terrified, until a woman ran out gripping him in her arms and running back inside. As if the wooden walls of the building would protect them. The scorpion used it's tail this time, pushing down upon the ground and lifting itself off the ground until it's two legs could stand once more. It's course would not be dettered, it was a curious child, it wanted to know what was happening, as it continued moving towards the center of the town, near where the tavern was located.
Noemi jumps down and looked at the beast, making sure it can see her, waving her arms, hopefully it doesn't run over her "Stop! Hax! Stop!!!"
Rohen :: Macu looked down at his mother, confused by her command. He wanted to move on, towards the town, towards the play things. Looking down at the feline outraged, he began to throw a tantru. His feet were raised massively, only to be dropped creating a massive earthquake, one that would easily drop the feline to the ground. His tail thrashed upon the ground behind him, the earthquake only growing with the increased weight smashing down. Dust began to rise around him, causing a gigantic smoke screen, one that would block the vision of the feline from the large creature. His claws swinging around angrily as he continued with his tantrum, smashing into trees and having them crash to the ground below. The scene fastly growing dangerous as the outraged behemoth only continued in it's child like fury.
Noemi falls on the ground as the child started to act like this, covering her view with dust as it continue to destroy the ground, "Hax! Stop it already!!!" coughing slightly as she try to regain her balance, running toward the smoke, moving blindly, "MACU! stop!!" looking around, squinting unsure where she is.
Rohen :: Macu quit it's tyrade as it was scolded by Noemi. The scorpion was hurt, as it raised it's drill like claw and began to push it into the ground. The arm began to spin, forcing it's way into the dirt as a while began to form in front of the creation. Macu forced it's way inside, as it began to move through the tunnel, working it's way to wherever it felt was best to go.. Course, Noemi had a clear chance to jump on and enter the still open hatch before he went all the way into the hole.
Noemi felt the rumbling as the large being started digging, as the dust cloud slowly fade away, the feline squints and ran toward the still open hatch, wanting to stop the monster.
Rohen :: Macu continued to sink deeper into the ground, trying to escape the scolding of his parent. As the scorpion sunk further into the earth, Noemi managed to climb once more into the hatch, just before he sunk completely into the ground, no trace of the scorpion to be seen. Well, except the knocked over trees, massive claw marks in the ground, and tail imprints placed into the ground.. That, and the unsettled dust still lingering in the air.. Who knew where the child behemoth would emerge next, on it's outraged tantrum to continue his work.
Noemi closes the hatch to keep the rocks from falling inside the cockpit, opening the lights, checking a small map, wondering where are they going, hopefully there isn't any people around there if ever.
Trist'oth Arena
Rohen :: Macu continued it's descent into the depths of Hollow, a rumbling could be felt upon the ground above for a short while, the shaking of the scorpions movement so great that as he moved the tunnel sealed behind him. His descent into the earth continued, as he headed downwards to wherever in Hollow it might lead. After some time, the scorpion fell loose from the earth and crashed down upon the underground tavern. Looking around, any who knew the area would recognize it as the Trist'toth Arena. A few late night trainees being squished upon his fall, instantly smoothed beneath the creatures massive body. Several spectators and trainers ran from the area screaming in fear, as the took their leave from the arena. Several other 'gladiator' types came charging at Hax, in a hope to vanquish the newest challenge into their battleground.
Noemi almost fell out of her chair as the beast was out of control, she can't stop him, all she can do is watch as he kill this people, wanting to open the door to stop the gladiators from coming, hoping to save their lives, putting a hand upon the hatch and pushes it upward, oddly she can't open it, frowning a bit as she try to push harder, but to no effect, checking the runes of vision upon the scorpion's hull, looking around at the mirrors that was used as portal like, monitors filled with updated images of what's happening outside, blinking as she found a large piece of rock was trapping her inside the cockpit, unable to get out, unsure how to stop this creature now
Rohen :: Macu's crash upon the ground caused a massive shockwave that sent the oncoming gladiators to crash upon their backs. The creature stared around at it's new surroundings confused, unsure of what was happening. Suddenly one of the men stood up once more, charging at the creature as he wielded two small blades. He brought the first one down on his leg, only to get met with the scorpion swinging it's body and smashing into the man. His body flew across the arena, smashing into the wall, as blood smeared the arena walls, his body sliding down the side of it, laying limp upon the ground below. The next man however, would not be taken so easily, instead he raised his bow, aiming for the creatures hinges upon his legs and firing. As the arrows approached, the scorpion raised it's massive claw, swiping the projectiles out of the way. His tail then became poised to strike, flashing forward and impaling the second fool to attack. The other six men looked back and forth at each other, each one unsure whether to charge or flee. Macu however, would not wait long for them to make their decision.
Noemi really need to stop this madness, trying to decide at first what to do, finally the feline sighed and said, "Why does this have to happen Hax..." opening a small hatch under the cockpit, going further inside the scorpion, murmuring slightly, "Stop or I'll cut that wire off...." knowing if she does, the child won't be able to control his body, stopping this madness but then again if she does, they will be a sitting duck, the gladiators might kill her, making her think over it a few more times.
Rohen :: Macu heard the feline's words, a nod given from his head. However, the scorpion refused to let the irritable men escape. His tail raised, as a large beam of light began to build at the tip. After several seconds the beam of light explodes forwards, incinerating all the men instantly, leaving only dust where the six people once stood. The scorpions massive claws reached up, pulling itself back into the tunnel, and drilling upwards back towards warehouse Noemi was so proud of.
Noemi almost fell again as the large thing moved, climbing back to the cockpit and said, "Seal all tunnels..." feeling alittle disappointed on how her creation acted today, sighing quietly, wanting to go home.
