Skjoldet Presents: Rumble in the Jungle, a 3v3 Fight Night!
Set up like a standard duel with 3 rounds & a closing round.
At the top of each round, your team designates who will "go"; you have 20 minutes to strategize together and write an attack and/or defense.
The attack/defense only includes 1 character writing, but it is up to the team how much involvement is written about the other characters.
Example: Mathollak is selected by Team A for Round 1, and together they decided that in his post he can write that Team-member Valrae magics him to be 50 feet tall and Team-member Ina gives him a potion to make him a blob person and then he attacks — this silliness and teamwork is encouraged!
Each round, you can pick someone new to attack, or have the same player/character/writer go each time, it's up to your team!
After the last round, spectators and contestants can vote on which team was better.
We know "better" is entirely subjective, but the goal here is to have fun and the 'rule of cool' is heavily emphasized.
Signups
Deadline for Signups: June 30th
- Teams are comprised of 3 Characters; if you can't find a third teammate, an NPC can be assigned to you courtesy of Clan Skjoldet. No more than 1 NPC per team.
- Once you have your 3 Team Members, h-mail Syrri and/or Isok with your Team Name, Roster, and Availability.
Rules
- Standard duel format, 20 minute limit.
- Magic is permitted.
- You can use as many Pets as you want.
- Anyone can vote, even you.
- Additional rules may be announced at the fight.
- Have Fun!
Prizes
With generous contributions from donors, Skjoldet is proud to offer the following awards:
- Winning Team Members: 60,000 gold split between the team & 1 Surprise Custom Item each
- Non-Winning Team: 15,000 gold split between the team
Teams
Teams consist of 3 characters, but if you're having trouble finding a third, Skjoldet can provide an NPC of your choosing from the following options:
- Mar'oken
- A burly half-orc whose weapon of preference is a polearm, although he's well-skilled with a sword and shield, too.
- Jamie of Reddert
- A sinewy human who is highly skilled with a greatsword, although is decently skilled with several other weapons, too.
- Castien Stonewright
- A stalwart dwarf, she is proficient with a warhammer and battleaxes.
- Castleberry Doormoss
- A halfling spellblade, he dances around the battlefield with a pair of shortswords imbued with arcane energy.
If more than 2 teams sign up by the June 30th Deadline, the first two teams will be matched up for the initial fight and everyone else will be reserved as a backup team and/or get first pick at Fight Two.
