Name
Nortengaal Kagu-Tsuchi, son of Hestia and Vulcan Kagu-Tsuchi, older brother of Kaiten Kagu-Tsuchi.
Age
Appears to be in his late 30’s early 40’s, though hes a fair bit older than that.
Appearance
He stands at a bit over 6 ft tall; 6’2” or so, and weighs in at around 330 pounds. His eyes are a bright red the color of fresh blood, and his deceptively dense salt and pepper (more salt than pepper) curls rest around the nape of his neck at their lowest. His dark skin is marked with many, many scars, each hard earned and kept as a reminder. The most notable of them are a large jagged tear across his torso received during a training accident in his youth, and two lines forming an X over his left eye, each received while sparring with friends at different times.
Around his neck at all times rests a small black Ankh on a silver chain. This was bestowed upon him by his Mother upon the completion of his magical teachings.
Also of note: in his human form he retains the fuzzy rounded ears of his bear forms, pretty much just because he thinks it’s cute and likes the aesthetic.
Weapons
A collector of weapons of every style and type, when fighting he prefer to fight hand to hand, and as such will rarely use a weapon other than the brass knuckle style weapons named Fortune and Providence that he received from his Father whence he completed his training with him. (The metal is actually not brass, but a golden colored metal with properties similar to tempered steel.) Recently he’s also become quite fond of using what he’d call a “combat yo-yo” during his training, although he has little experience with using it actual combat – for now.
On rare occasion he will also wield a special heirloom katana by the name of Ryujin Jakkarat, though his skills with it are not nearly on par with his hand-to-hand skills. (An interesting fact about this weapon is that it is stored inside of him through magical means, as dictated by the rules of the weapon and its heritage.)
Training
He has been trained in the three different martial styles that have been in his family for generations longer than any truly knows.
Teknik Metriz Lespri: Roughly translates to “Spirit Mastery Technique.” This is the name of style of magical training his Mother trained him in. His training in this began as soon as he was possibly able to comprehend the basic lessons being taught to him. As he grew, so did the complexities of Mother’s teachings, and at this point in life he has mastered his own body’s energies and can use them to various effect. The Ankh he wears is a symbol of the stem of his power.
Stil Men Fè: Roughly translates to “Iron Hand Style”. This is the style of hand-to-hand combat that his Father trained him in since he was physically capable of the demands of the art. The same as with his Mother’s magical training, the demands of the training became tougher as he grew older. He is extremely well versed in this style because of his years of training with it, although it has not been mastered due to the nature of the style, which leads to constant improvement rather than a completed knowledge. His favored weapons, the knuckle weapons, were bestowed upon him by Father upon completion of my formal training at around the age of 17.
Linyon Atizay Epe: Roughly translates to “Blood-Line Sword Art”. This is the style of blade fighting that has been passed down through his family for generations to the successor who attains Ryujin. His formal training in the use of this art is very limited, as his Father was very sick at the time of succession. As such, he was only taught some of the signature abilities of the sword, and how to utilize them. Actually learning the basic swordsmanship was left his responsibility to learn, and in the decades since he first received the weapon he’s put considerable effort into learning how to use it.
Abilities
Given the nature of his family’s teachings, most would consider him to be something of a spell blade, although he himself however would consider himself more of a brawler with magical tendencies
At this point in his life, he has mastered his own personal energies, and any in the area about an inch and a half to two inches from his body. He can make orbs of energy at a whim, and he uses them to various effects, usually to entertain himself more than anything else, although they do have offensive and defensive applications.
While some might consider him a lycanthrope, being a werebear he’s technically a therianthrope. Through years of practice, he has attained three different forms; his standard human form, the form of a large black and white bear, and an anthropomorphic form that’s a mix of the two. Though he can control both the transformations and himself when transformed fairly well, there can and have been times when his control has been severely tested, or even broken.

‘Ello there y’all! Panda’s the name and writing is my game. Well, gaming is my game lol, but writing is a close follow up. I used to play Nort many years ago, and I just recently came back, kinda on a whim tbh. He’s a bit different now than folks might remember, but still the same at his core lol. I’m glad to see the place is still going strong as ever, and hope to meet folks new and old. ^_^
