- Appearance: A description from the creature's summoning: An insectoid-shaped head with a lipless human mouth pushes its bald head through the hole's energetic veil, like an infant crowning through its mother. The creature has no eyes. Its flesh is covered thickly in black ooze. The head is the size of a cow. A slender proboscis unfurls from its toothless mouth and tongues the energy-veil to break it. Soon its head is clear through the slit. Next its clawed, inky hands start to tear through.
- Origins: According to Matron Gevurah D'Artes's research, Alithyk Caluss was created by Vakmatharas, the God of Death. Though she could not discern Vakmatharas's motive in creating Caluss, she did discover that Vakmatharas regretted his creation, and quickly grew to see Caluss as aberration that rejected the life-death binary. In the material plane, cultists of Caluss began to carry out Caluss's will and proliferate the ranks of the undead. They began to call him a god. Vakmatharas banished Caluss to an interplanar prison for over 1,000 years, until the Order of the Shade found a way to break Caluss free and summon him for the first time directly into the material plane.
- RP Relevance: Alithyk Caluss was summoned by the Order of the Shade during the Agitation arc. Since then, he has been holed up at the Lotus Castle in the Chaos Realm building his strength and amassing an army of undead. He is intent on turning every living thing undead.
Caluss has portals installed in dark places around Hollow to capture corpses which he then turns undead and adds to his army.
