About Tamsin

Growing up on the coast, Tamsin lived a simple life as a child of the Chartsend Guard. She always idolized her father’s role, however, her father, Cathán, was deeply traditional and believed that women should be kept in a strictly domestic role, especially after the death of Tamsin’s mother. Although Tamsin’s mother died from giving birth, Cathán made it his goal to keep Tamsin protected from her own adventurous personality. Due to the domestic life Tamsin was living as a teenager and young adult, she always felt something of an outsider. Cathán taught Tamsin how to cook, clean, and sew, but discouraged her from learning how to fight or use her powers to defend herself.

Despite her father's objections, Tamsin was drawn to the world of combat and adventure. She would often sneak away from her chores to watch the guard training exercises, or practice her aeromancy in secret. She longed to be part of the guard, to fight for the safety of her community and use her powers to protect others.

To cope with rules and regulations, Tamsin also began to explore her creative side. She took up jewelry making, using her aeromancy skills to shape the metal and stones. Over time, she discovered that she had a natural talent for enchanting the stones, imbuing them with magical properties that made them more valuable and sought-after. She experimented with different spells and incantations, eventually developing her own unique style.

Now as an adult, Tamsin still finds herself in the center of being treated fragile by her father and her eldest brother, though she is now an adult with her own freedom. The desire is now in her hands to take control and start a new life on her own, although her father disagrees with the choices she wants.
