The Tomos are a highly aggressive and territorial creature, thought to be an early failed experiment of the wizard that created the centaurian race. While they do not appear to communicate in any language that can be translated by non-Common speakers, they are advanced enough in development to use basic weaponry. More often than not, guarding Tomos are observed using glaives and other forms of polearms. They appear to have some sort of tribal hierarchy, given that this variation of Tomos give orders to the others.

Their stature might be considered imposing to the dwarves that border Venturil, towering at an average of 5 to 7 feet. Similar to centaurs, they have four hooved legs and two humanoid arms. The humanoid head of the tomos sports hard wart-like growths, and two sets of large tusks; one set growing through each cheekbone, and one set growing in place of canines that curve upwards. Both halves of the body are generally covered in short and coarse black or brown hair, save for the face. Differentiating the Royal Tomos from the others is that these wear a larger skull of another creature, or in one instance, a larger Tomos skull, as a form of headdress; this is the only instance of clothing observed in the species.
