Regal Snow-Squall Wyvern - (Pet)
Creator:
Last Known Owner: Encara
Description:

Unusual for being an exceptionally large member of his species, Ymir is also quite spectacular to look upon. Scales of white gold, like snow touched by pale sunlight, cover the majority of his body - they alternate in texture between smooth and flat across his sides and wings, while larger and more jagged-edged spikes protrude along his spine, legs, and around his jaw. The scales of his throat, belly, and the ventral side of his tail are of a deep and shimmering obsidian that matches the underside of his leathery wing membranes, creating a stark contrast against his white hide. Polished horns curve like a golden crown from his head - his long claws and lethal spines are of the same material, and Ymir sees the world through blue eyes so light they're almost white; the colour of thin ice. He stands around 9'5" tall at the shoulder, boasting a broad wingspan and long, tapering tail, which is equipped with wicked spikes the size of a Frost Giant's arm. With only his back legs and bat-like forelimbs, Ymir is not particularly agile on the ground, yet where other wyverns may be ungainly on their feet, there is a subtle air to the great white's movements that lends him almost imperial grace and poise.

History:

Son of the Nameless King and an unknown mother, the majestic wyvern known as Ymir, Prince of Ice, is a bit of an enigma. Almost twice his father's size, possessing both the ability to speak in the common tongue, a chilling ice breath attack, and with many physical similarities to a Silver or White dragon, it would not be surprising if Ymir's mother was, in fact, of dragonkind. How such a union occurred is difficult to say, and little is known of his early life, but Ymir has grown into a proud and powerful wyvern with a strong sense of right and wrong. An attempt to save his kin from the cruel magics of Kahran's wraiths almost ended with Ymir falling prey to the same spells, had it not been for the intervention of Lionel, his comrades, and the rogue drow who had warned the nearby Alliance camp of the attack. Ymir offered his allegiance to the group as thanks and appears to have taken a liking to Encara, but it remains to be seen where those choices will lead him...
