Name: Momipo Ka'uhane
Gender: Female
Race: Mermaid
Homeland: Off the coast of the southern isles
Position of note: Monk of Selene, priestess-in-training
Relationship with Cenril: Unlike others of her kind, she doesn't wish the destruction of Cenril or the death of innocents.
Relationship with played characters: Momipo spends her time in the waters off Cenril and occasionally Rynvale. She is searching for devout worshipers of Selene (mostly seaborn but she will speak to land-dwellers) about lifting the curse on the Coral Castle.
Information on Momipo
Momipo is generally calm and kind, and will always be among the first to lend a hand. She is also disciplined and quite willing to fight when the chips are down. Conversely, she can hold a heck of a grudge, and if you manage to get her angry, you'd best stay well away from the sea.
Momipo was a rough-and-tumble youth, always picking fights and rushing headlong into danger, all for the sake of a thrill. One such adventure left her beached when a tsunami she'd foolishly strayed into deposited her nearly a mile from the coast. She would have dried up and died if not for a kind woman and her four children, who found her and brought her back to the sea. Inspired by this example, Momipo decided to live her life in devotion to others.
Humbled by Selene's wrath, and remembering the teachings of her grandmother, Momipo sought out the nearest priestess of the Mother of Oceans and asked to be instructed in their ways. She was designated to a monastery, where she performed grueling manual labor in between study sessions. Now, she has been sent on a pilgrimage to the north, with the knowledge that she would be called upon to bring aid to her oceanic brothers and sisters.
