The Kraken's Wife
The gorgon Evriale stands petrified among a strange "stone menagerie" on the south-western coast of Rynvale. Her husband, the ancient kraken known as 'Mac', has mourned her loss for millennia and on occasion visits what he has finally come to believe are her remains.
Sailors still tip their hats to the gorgon-stone, as they always have done, to avert bad luck.
