Rosecho
Rosecho Isaura Volante, often known simply as Rose, is a Feline and inept mage still finding her feet in the world called Hollow.
General Information
- Rosecho is currently twenty-two years old, small and slight even for a feline, and so laughably weak in hand-to-hand combat that the most damage she could hope to do in a fight would be to be picked up and thrown as a projectile by someone stronger. As a result, she avoids fights like one might a plague - for her pride rather than for fear of injury - and can usually be found standing stunned at the sidelines or slipping out of the door should one break out.
- Though her race are not naturally inclined to magic, Rosecho is a Mage; albeit as yet rather inept. Her tutelage under Jakushka helped her learn to focus her limited powers, and though her lack of skill leaves her disheartened and drained she still holds a pipe dream of one day being able to develop from within the magic that so fascinates her.
- Thanks to Cerinii, whom Rosecho served as her first experiment, the muscles of Rosecho's right leg and left arm are augmented with metal; which have served to protect them from serious damage when she sparred with the draconian Astraia during her training.
- For a time, her mind was infected by the Chaos, an affliction that turned the usually reticent feline into, put simply, a reckless lunatic until Cerinii used her illusions to rid Rosecho of the Chaos poisoning her body and mind.
- Rosecho has a family in her hometown of Oriall, though she is presently estranged. However, two years after leaving her family she found herself charged with caring for her niece Isaura, the child of her sister Astrielle and the man to whom Rosecho was once betrothed... That is, before she slipped away from her home the night before her wedding, for the simple reason that she felt - despite her lack of direction - that she had more fulfilling things to do with her life than housewifery. Though she resented her family using the child as her retribution, she slowly grew to care for her niece.
- After Isaura's demise from a common winter illness, Rosecho's unexpected crash-course in motherhood became useful once more after a liason with a travelling healer on her way back from a visit to her hometown led to the birth of her own daughter, Cassia Pepra - affectionately known by her mother as 'the one responsible for single-handedly wreaking utter havoc on my body and ensuring that I haven’t slept comfortably for six months'. Rosecho is currently adjusting to parenthood and searching for any occupation or training that can be completed splashed with drool and sleep-deprived, and otherwise whilst caring for her child to the best of her ability.
- An incident with a love potion saw Rosecho proclaim her undying love for the half-elf Skylei at one point during her pregnancy - any effect on her child has yet to be seen; though an angry, convex feline accusing her of 'infidelity' in the middle of Kelay Tavern may well have scarred Sky for life.
Friends
- Skylei - the first friend Rosecho made when she arrived in Hollow, the pair have shared a lot, from almost stealing pirate ships to raising their respective nieces alongside one another.
- Cerinii - Rosecho met her when she volunteered to be experimented on by the avian, and never looked back; Cerinii has had a huge part in helping the feline find her way in Hollow.
- Other friends and accquaintances, old and new, include Glundrall, Selena (and Merlin), Ceyla, and Ayra.
