Talk:Ranger's Guild

From HollowWiki

Description

Use this as a running list of changes the Guild has done. When you make a change, put it at the top of the list and sign it with ~~~~. That puts your user name and the date in. Feel free to post IC if your character is IC involved with the Guild. - Cyllarus

Updates

  • I have covered Venturil. Chartsend was much larger than my maps showed, so I have updated it. - Cyllarus 05:45, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
  • I has checked out the maps of Ferminville and Shadow Gnome, and the sewers, and they all look right, except the store in the Cavern of Storing wasn't there, and a down exit was shown in the Gnome Temple. So I removeds it, since I did nots see it. - Splag 03:12, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
  • I've gone through and added some minor updates to Venturil. - --Cyllarus 03:39, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

IC Discussion

What role can the Guild serve In-Character in Hollow? Post any idea you have here, no matter how silly or strange it may seem. They will all be considered. This is a team decision. Even if your character would not be a member of the guild IC, we still want your input and ideas for this.
  • IC guiding of the lost, or rescuing of the hurt. Basically just an IC version of the OOC chat 'calls for help'. I don't know how much this would get used, as the OOC channel would be easier. - Cyllarus 05:32, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
  • Rping our characters as scouting the lands for changes, or odd behaviors of animals/people/etc. Could encourage the Preklek characters to post odd things around the other players, and then ask around if anyone has noticed anything 'strange'. And also... Training other players how to survive off the lands. I.E. building fires, hunting, or tracking. Etc. - Layla 12:38am (EPT)
  • I'm not positive for the rest of the members, but I know that this character cannot really be considered a 'ranger' by any means. I wonder if maybe the IC aspects could take a bit of a sagely turn, almost. I like what Layla said about ICly guiding people when they get lost. Maybe the 'rangers' could have a wide knowledge of the area they're in charge of, maybe even serve as some brand of ambassador or something. I know we couldn't directly do the ambassador bit as those'd have to be approved by the respective 'owners' of the lands, but I think you get the idea. --Ojmuimnairne 21:45, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
