Description:

Spilling from a scar like a small void in the centre of Encara's left palm, flickering tongues of smoky shadow curl across the half-drow's skin. This magical wound is in constant motion and appears to abhor the light, shying away from light sources such as fire or torches, but will become much more frenetic in darkness. While she seeks answers and a possible cure for the slow-spreading curse before it devours the rest of her body, Encara hides it from sight beneath a gauntlet of black steel that encases her hand and her left arm up to the elbow, and will fight against having the armour removed.

History:

It is believed by Encara to have some connection to the Shadow Plane, as the scars were the result of a failed attempt to open a portal to the realm when she was a child - her twin brother bears the same marks on his right hand.
