Part of the Larketian Fault Lines Arc

This is a Rogue's Guild RP.

Summary: Leoxander happens to be in town with the information that Blut has been hired for rogue-worthy work.

Main Street, Larket

Leoxander stepped into Larket as he had on any other day, armed with a newly forged obsidian compound bow on his back and a half dozen knives or more hidden on his person. Beneath a leather jacket. There was a faint blue light that showed through the thin fabric of a cotton tank, also known as a 'wifebeater', stained with blood and grime that he never bothered to wash completely clean. A hole in the back showed a stab wound, but his leather hid most of his scars and tattoos.

This was the delicatessen, also known as the 'deli', that he was meant to scout. But beside that, he knew Blut would be nearby, due to his resources. So the rogue-pirate arrived in suspicious fashion, approaching the scene as delicately as he should, searching for any eyes in the dark with nocturnal vision. He would not likely be caught off guard.

Blut approached the man with his crossbow drawn useing his illusions in order to achive invisibility. Blut broke his illusion mistakeing Leoxander for a enemy as he held the crossbow to the back of the mans head as he spoke in a quite but stern voice. "Don't move. I'm gonna ask some questions I like what I hear you walk away. Got it" Blut instructed as they were knee deep in enemy territory.

But Leo was not likely to be caught off guard. And that was, in this case, due to the fact that the faint blue glow on his chest was from a crafted rune created by Eleanor. It's purpose was to give away the aura of the assassin, so that those expected illusions could be identified. He remembered their first encounter well.

The rogue 'pretended' to be startled and still, lifting empty hands in defense at first, but rather than answer Blut he moved with a lycanthrope enhanced speed to duck aside and turn. If the arrow was released, it could skim his side or rip his jacket, but regardless, Leoxander attempted to grab the weapon and throw off the aim. He didn't try to get it out of Blut's hold, but did try to strike the man in the face with the heavy center of the bow if it was held between them. He growled a few words regardless of the outcome. "Don't bloody start. I'm not in the mood for your crap, today, kid. And if this is how you handle your mark your 'employer' is gonna be damn disappointed." Leo was letting the other know that he was aware of why Blut was there. They were in fact right in the middle of enemy territory, and not being as subtle as they should.

Blut took the blow to the face his mask takeing most of the impact but still causeing him to stagger back a few steps as he pointed his crossbow ready to shoot. However he lowered his crossbow when Leo spoke about his employer as he clicked his fingers createing a mute zone around the two to cover up Leos less then subtle exposition. Blut shook his head as he crossed his arm "and if this is how he tries to inform me of something new then me and him are going to need a talk. Anyways why are you here I didn't shoot you cause your not the mark nothing more troublesome then killing a innocent. More bodies to dispose of and more tracks to cover. Now why are you here what does he want" Blut asked leaning against the wall keeping a eye on everything happening around them to make sure to cloak them when hostiles approach.

The rogue scoffed slightly at Blut's reasoning. He has a suspicious feeling that the assassin had no problem killing innocents. But rather than go to that topic, the question was answered.

"I doubt he knows I bothered to come here. I've got my own reasons and they weren't originally you. But the fact you threw a weapon into my back and demanded words from me shows me you've still got some things to learn about this business. I got away from yer goons easily enough, though I didn't appreciate the wire." The silver that left some scars on his arms from his first introduction. Risking a look away from the assassin, Leo glanced around to recognize that they were concealed by Blut's illusion, before he glanced back at the man and the telltale aura surrounding him, seen due to Eleanor's temporary rune. "You gotta plan or you just gonna let all of bloody Larket know yer in town? Go pokin' yer arrows into people's back 'till you find this guy? It ain't yer hide I'm here to cover, but jus' maybe you've got some potential if yer employer trusts you on this."

Blut clicked his finger one more time as his body contorted and shifted giveing him a detectives coat and hat as well as a completely new face and voice. "Just because I engaged you doesn't mean I kill everyone to get to my target. This is private detective Ariendal Frostbane one of the private detectives of this city remember if they aren't doing their jobs the mob are just regular people and everyone cracks before the police." Blut explained "Very few people have the composure to actively out bluff the Larket badge when its flashed and I really doubt these guys are the kind that can." Blut held out a notebook revealing everyone his interviewed spoke to and any links as he motioned him to read it. "This man died weeks ago and they still think he's liveing and breathing because of me even his family." Blut explained coldly not expecting nor wanting recognition from the lycan." And that brings us full circle if you ain't here for me nor you here for my mark why are you here." Blut asked.

Leo watched the illusion happen, though the color of Blut's aura did not change. With his expression furrowed into something of a suspicious glare, he reluctantly reached to take the notebook for a moment to glance over the names and information scrawled on the page. The explanation was pretty grim, even for the pirate, but it wasn't Leoxander's intention to interfere. More to observe. "Like I said, if the guy who hired you thought you'd get the job done, you might have some potential for some more work. And if you didn't get it done, I didn't want anythin' comin' back on him, for my own reasons. But you go do what you gotta do an' I'll stay out of your way. We'll see if you're worth findin' again." The book was closed and handed back, and not once did Leo ever reach for a weapon on his person.

Blut sighed as he shook his head and clicked his fingers as the circle faded away he took back his book as he put on his hat. "Then I won't make it hard to find me." Blut claimed as he threw Leo a glowing blue stone "echo stone records conversations and plays it back to the reciver." Blut explained holding a green stone which also glew "If thats all then I suggest leaveing I got work to do." Blut suggested his crossbow neatly hidden within his coat all his weapons were within instant reach but he had no need for them anymore atleast for now as he walked away.

For a split-second, Leo debated on not catching that stone, in case it was one of the illusionist's many tricks. But against his instinct, he captured the thrown blue stone in his bandaged hand and offered a slight, stern nod of understanding. Although he didn't much appreciate the tone used against him, the rogue resisted rolling his eyes and turned to head in the opposite direction. But he likely wouldn't be too far, as Larket was a territory he'd been scouting for weeks, now.
