Summary: With Khitt's assistance, The Sound Of Sirens and the crowd help to summon Sister Sinister to join the band!
Song: Ghuleh/Zombie Queen - Ghost

The Main Graveyard, Vailkrin

The Vailkrin Summer Solstice Festival was in full swing and the Sound of Siren’s had been playing practically all day (though Gorey Taelyr took over singing several times so Khitt’s vocal cords didn’t shrivel up into dust). A massive bonfire had been built in the middle of the cemetery near the Sound of Sirens’ stage, that of which had been lit with Khitt’s own shadowfire at the start of the festival, the purple flames seemingly more comforting for the town full of flammable undead thanks to its dark magic origins, as opposed to the normal kind of fire.

Now, the day-long concert was nearing its end, and the Sirens had a bit of surprise for everyone. The festival-goers had been instructed to bring black candles to the last song, as they were all going to be a part of a ritual. As the finale started, the bonfire flared, and everyone’s candles were lit with purple flames. Simultaneously, Khitt stepped out onto the stage, dressed in a black and white tux, his face painted up to look like a skull, and his hair slicked back into bun and illusioned to look black instead of the usual red (both the facepaint and his hair had been dealt with by Annette). He reiterated the need for the candles, further explaining, as he walked back and forth across the stage, that the band was lacking something: a queen. A queen of piano-playing, rather. A banshee appeared at the band’s keyboard, becoming more and more corporeal as she played the chords to the beginning of the song, while other banshees made themselves known behind Khitt, chanting softly. ♫Ghuleh…. Ghuleh…♫ Khitt looked less than impressed with the keyboardist as she played, the rest of the band joining in. One hand reached out towards her as shadows gathered around her, constricting her, punishing her for her subpar playing, though still forcing her to play on anyway, as Khitt’s other hand aimed itself near a collection of gravestones near the center of the crowd.

♫Putrefaction, a scent that cursed be, under coat of dust. From the darkness, rise a succubus, from the earthen rust.♫ Shadows gathered around the largest of the headstones and the ground quaked beneath everyone’s feet. ♫Haresis dea. Once a majesty, now exposing bone. From the darkness, rise a succubus, and usurp the throne.♫

Annette felt a little weird wearing augmented black hair and a face full of skull paint. It was just so... -different- from the makeup she usually wore. But this was a special occasion, and it wasn't like she was gonna be wearing it forever. She was cheering in the front row, in a section just off-center and slightly cordoned off from the rest of the crowd. Her hands were raised in fists, the pinkie and pointer fingers extended. All of this was very unladylike, and therefore very unlike her. But what was the point of life if she couldn't let loose a little every once in a while, right?

The ground began to quake beneath everyone’s feet, while the instruments and other pieces of the set rattled away on stage. Shadowy tendrils seeped from Khitt’s fingertips, funneling away from his spot on the stage down towards the main gravestone. The rumbling continued, the lights of the crowd’s candles and the bonfire flared… and then everything stopped. The song slowly started to taper off as the pianist struggled beneath Khitt’s grip. She could no longer bear it and faded away into nothingness. But the keyboard continued to play, despite its lack of a musician, and then the song as a whole picked up. No longer did it sound like some sort of churchy, funereal melody, but now it was… surfer music? The reverb from Jon 3’s guitar cascaded over the crowd like waves as the song grew more upbeat. Meanwhile, a bony hand thrust itself up out of the ground in front of the gravestone, Khitt’s dark magic literally helping to pull the creature out, and soon after the other hand joined it as whatever beneath quickly began to emerge.

♫ The moon is full and shines an evil blinding light. Under a monolith, her likeness… Marble white. Zombie Queen! Zombie Queen! Black light guides you! Ghuleh… Ghuleh… Zombie Queen! Zombie Queen! Black light guides you! Ghuleh… Ghuleh… ♫

As the music continued, a semi-decomposed, bleach blonde-haired female crawled up out of the ground and let out a shriek. She stared at everyone with a look of malice, seeming as though she might attack the crowd, but she was soon distracted as Khitt shadowstepped from the stage over to where she was and held out his hand for her to take. The undead woman eyed him and his offered hand warily, but eventually took it, and the two were shadowstepped back to the stage.

♫ Up from the stinking dirt she rises, ghastly pale. Shapeshifting soon… But now she's rigid, stiff and stale. Zombie Queen! Zombie Queen! Black light guides you! Ghuleh… Ghuleh… Zombie Queen! Zombie Queen! Black light guides you! Ghuleh… Ghuleh… ♫

The zombie woman took over where the banshee had left off, boney fingers finding the keys of the keyboard easily, a pianist prodigy in her past life. She let out a gleeful cackle as she played, the song coming to a finish. Khitt stepped over to the zombie and grabbed her hand, lifting it into the air. “Sister Sinister, everyone!” And then the massive bonfire’s light went out. Show was over, folks. Go home.
