RP:Parsithius finds a letter

From HollowWiki
The river here quiets from the rush of the rapids to the south. Lapping softly along the grassy banks, the waters seem certain to harbor some forms of life within their murky depths. A long, narrow log lies beside the river, drifting in and out of the water but it appears to be wedged in this specific locale. A hill crests to the west, just past the water, providing a barrier from the forest beyond.

--Along the Vibrance, Larket

Parsithius action : :: In the evening light, where shadows are stretched and thrown far from the peaks of Eternal Forest's leafy boughes and towering trees, a simple cadence interrupts the normal ambience of chattering insects and nightlife birds. It is a strong, methodical 'click' of armored greaves touching one another with each stride borne with platemail; glinting the reds and oranges of the setting sun, the armor is a polished sheen but not to perfection, because a dried crimson has it stained on pauldron, boot and cuirass in a beautifully orchestrated painting of bloodspatter. Blonde hair floats freely around a suit of heavy armor, but doing better to squeeze a bearded, determined, and steely face, which strikes forth with the vision of a piercing azure gaze. They are rather encompassing, those eyes, especially in the carefully scrutiny of an environment, as the buttspike of a halberd that is far too large to be considered anything unrecognizable in terms of ownership is used to brush aside strong, treacherous roots that snake upward from the ground. Finally, from flora and fauna, he emerges into the clearing, and halted by the sight of rope, Larketian guard, and the remains of an investigation.

Parsithius action : :: Immediately, attention is brought to the silver-hued frame of an armored, blonde man; the attentions of the two deputies in stone-faced guardianship of this rather desecrated ground. A great tragedy happened here, after all, and none will allow the death of Larket's daughter to go without notice, justice, or retribution. A single guard lifts a chainmail gauntlet in salute of his lord, before the other imitates his partner's gesture in a perfect succession, and his gaze peers down a red nose in scrutiny of the man that arrives; Parsithius Invernizzi Mediccino, King Consort of Larket and General of Larket's Military. Platemail ascends around the figure of a hand, making aim to return salute before the area around him is more closely scrutinized.

Parsithius action : :: The other two guards fall back into their statuesque stances, which they bear with a determined sense of duty, while Parsithius' gaze begins a calculating and methodically perusing sweep over the area around him before moving off to the west. The sun has set, and it took with it the expanse of blanketing oranges, reds, and yellows to a place behind the horizon line, leaving only the stars to illuminate the setting around him. The trees do well to cast figurines of black and mercurial darkness in a sort of overlay upon silhouettes of rocks, branches, logs, crevices and the occasional lighting of a pair of animal's eyes. Silence held the three, one of which orchestrating the entire arrangement if only to funnel his thoughts and concepts into a straightforward path to his lips, which mouth in wordless explanation the various confessions, antics, and habits of those they had detained, questioned and released. At last, the knight speaks his intention; "There must be something here. Something I am missing." It is not in a sudden moment of clarity that he finds it, the object which so far has eluded a piercing visage of blonde hair and blue eyes; it takes hours. Hours of standing perfectly still, and continuously sweeping and slicing his sight left and right, up and down, side to side, again and again -no shortcut to be taken. It is at least, that he spots it; at the corner of a bush, and entangled in the small, gnarled limbs of brush.
