Artia’s Ranch

Once you enter this ranch styled home you are greeted by a large foyer. Floors are layed with cherry wood planks, further into the foyer resides a grand pearl fire place. Once you leave the foyer, to the left is a large living room with book shelves along the walls. The books are full of different spells, potions and other magic topic books, some on different races of creatures within the land. This room would be a book worms heaven. Varies soft leather couches fill this room, wide windows are full in the walls. With cream curtains, and silver rope holding the curtains open. An cream color door is in the far left of the room. Within the room has lion fur blanket infront of the king size bed, the walls are painted varies greens and browns. With French doors leading outside. Upon leaving this room heading out to the foyer, going the other way you enter into a wood burning stove kitchen. The counter top is on its own island with granite tops, and a basket full of fresh variety fruits. Beside the fruit basket resides clean wine glasses accompanying wine bottles. Brass candle chandelier hangs directly above the island. Opposite side of the kitchen stands a large Bay window with a four person glass top table. Heading back out the foyer, you spot a secret door beside the grand pearl fire place, moving into the master bedroom the floor is enchanted to look like grass. The walls are painted with crimson until you look at the east wall, which is decorated with rocks and living plants at the corner of the floor is a natural spring, used like a hot tub would. Beside the spring across the room resides a four post cherry king size canopy bed. Looking back to where you entered could see the grand pearl fire place which turned out to be two sided. This room as well has its own French doors to exit outside.

Brennia knocks softly on the door as dawn was breaking over Lithrydel and gently pushes the oak door open while calling, “Artia? Are you home?” She was hesitant as she felt like she has not seen her dear friend in ages, but concern overtook any better judgement. Just hours ago she was comforting Odhranos, playing music and drinking cider, but as soon as she sobered up/woke up she flew straight to Larket to make sure Artia was okay as well. Odhranos was not doing too well with it so she couldn't even imagine how she would find Artia.

Artias heart was shattered yet again by Odhranos, this time it wasn't because he disappeared or she thought him dead. He just couldn't handle Artia as a vampire, she had always accepted him back into her heart and arms no matter how long he was gone no matter how much he never wrote her. She came back home, only to get one of the two reasons that kept her alive to be done with their love. Artia answered the door, wrapped in her silk robe, but when she opened the door Brennia could see the damage to her heart through her eyes. The damages Kristos inflicted upon her body, a collar around her neck. "Brennia. Hello, please come in. You never have to knock just walk in." Ava came wobbling up to the door, seeing Brennia she shifted to her tiny grey wings. Looking up she saw her godmother, mismatch eyes lit up as she hugged brennia legs. "Brema!"

Brennia wasted no time in pulling her friend in for a comforting hug, wings included which envelop the vampire in her most favorite scent. Hearing the pitter patter of little feet she would gently remove herself from their embrace so she may drop down to her knees and hug her godchild, “hello my beautiful ladies. Avaaaa,” she taunted the child, “I found this laying around the castle and thought you would want it back.” She pulled a wooden kazoo from between her wings and held it out for the toddler to take. When Ava would stay at the castle she would run around and blow that kazoo like there was no tomorrow. Standing once more she would leave the occupied child in the living room while wrapping an arm around Artia’s shoulders in order to move towards the kitchen, “how are you doing, Artia?” Liberty blue eyes spot the choker, “what's this?” Once in the kitchen she would pour some champagne in orange juice for the both of them. “Have you eaten breakfast yet?” She pulls various fruits from the fruit basket and proceeds to chop them up.

Artia cringed as she was hugged, caused one of the scabs to break off leaving a blood spot to appear on the robe. Which Arti a ignored as she was feeling numb all over and inside her broken heart. "Brennia, I don't feel like eating." She would say as she watched her begin to chop up fruits, her skin porcelain white minus the bruises. As for the collar, "It suppresses my magic, the one that captured me for a week put it on. Along with Brandings and all the marks you see, I'm not doing too good." Ava still in the living room blowing the kazoo, "Odhranos and I had a heart to heart, he decided we needed to break up. I tried to convince him we could still work but no matter what I said he thought it best we go different ways. He was scared of me when I drained a tree of its energy instead of drinking blood. I told him he could stay at the ranch, so Ava could have us both under one roof. I am hiring workers to add a loft where my room will be, rip out my bedroom so his room can be more spacious for a study too. I am moving the bathroom to where my pantry is so that way he can access a bathroom without walking into my room. This way we both have privacy, also building Ava her own room too. She needs one." Artia slipped off her robe to reveal a matching slip dress, showing the massive lashes, burns, bruises upon her. not an inch of her not harmed. "Gone a week being tortured to come home and have my heart ripped out." Tears fell from her eyes, "I'm not doing good, I wish Kristos would had killed me."

Brennia stopped chopping fruits after eating some strawberries and made her way over to Artia and inspecting her wounds. “How can we remove that thing?” She runs her fingers over the item and leans in to get a closer look after picking up Artia’s robe. A glance to make sure Ava was still occupied and Brennia would take Artia’s hand in order to lead her where the spring is in her home. She hands her a square of chocolate, “here at least have this.” She swipes up the mimosa on the way, “drink a little. I'll watch Ava after we get you cleaned up. Ava doesn't need to see you like this, I'm here to take care of you.” Brennia would help her out her slip and ease her friend into the waters for her to relax a moment. Seems she wasn't taking no for an answer, “I'm going to go out Ava down for a nap and when I get back we are tending to those wounds.” There was a calm from her voice and her Bardic magic tied to it, but Artia could easily spot the anger in Brennia's eyes whenever she looked at the wounds.

Artia sighs, taking the chocolate which would not be ate. She didn't want to eat, she just wanted to watch Ava play. She wanted to read, she wanted to get lost in another realm that books could take her too. With the help and then removing the wraps from her hands, "I have cleaned them, I just not healing fast enough, the collar slows it down." As brennia left she would get in the bath, wash her hair and soap herself up best she could to look as clean as possible. After moments of rinse and lather repeat she sat in the bath resting her sore tired body, waiting for Brennia to come back. Her heart so shattered, and determined to never let another male close to it again.

Brennia made her way back and the home was silent for now before kindly demanding while handing Artia some reading material, “show me the worst one.” Meaning the wounds and once Artia did Brennia would work her Bardic magic to take any pain away from the area before working on a different melody which binds wounds closed. Once that was done she would say, “next.” Until her friend was all closed up and on a better path to healing and after a moment she asks, “so who is his Kristos and where is he?” That heartwarming, dimple inducing smile is beamed at her friend, you know, the one she uses to get her way.

Artia climbed out of the bath, "My entire body is one connected pain, the worse ones are along my legs and my hands." Once they were healed she would move or stand anyways Brennia needed her too. "He is family to Sebias Delavian, Kristos Delavian is the head of the Delavian family. He wanted to know who taught me necrobotany, and how it works. He let me go, Mythayus found me and helped me get clean. Then I came home where my heart broke, I haven't seen him since.'

Brennia sighs, “I don't like this one bit, you know you and Ava-Marie will always be safe at the castle. Do you have any recollection where he stays?” Worry in her face for she hasn't heard Sebias’ name in some time and wonders if he's alright. Did he have anything to do with this? She also needs to rethink her tactics as she doesn’t want to go pissing that dragon off by attacking his brethren… A deep breath as she calms her temper to remind herself that she can probably charm this dragon’s pants off. Does he wear pants? On the subject of Artia’s broken heart and Brennia takes her friend’s face into her hands before planting a supple kiss upon the woman’s lips. A second passes of this and she breaks it to look into those cyan eyes and remind her, “no matter a broken heart. You will always be loved.” A smile down at her before she places another kiss on Arta, but this time on her forehead and pulls her into a comforting embrace. “You just hang onto those pieces Artia. Someone, the right one, will come along with the glue to hold them together...”

Artia tears up, grateful for the best of healing possible. "Thank you for your efforts, but I'm fine now. I never screamed during the torture, I laughed and dared him to keep going. What kind of person does that? I get angry so easy now, I even growled at Odhranos when he touched me. Did I not prove to him how much I love and care for him? It's my fault he wanted to end it, I want him back, but after being hurt again I won't try for it. He won't accept me as a vampire, if their was a cure I would take it. But why change myself for someone who can't take me at my lowest?" Any kiss given was returned, with as much affection the broken vampire could give her. Nuzzling her forehead against the Avian, "I know I am loved, and I am just going to take a long break from relationships. My heart is barely surviving this one, married and engaged twice to the same man. How stupid am I?" She shakes her head, "I don't want the pieces, I don't want anyone that close again."

Brennia gently runs her hands through Artia’s damp hair while she soothes her with some humming. If she were completely honest, she was a bit tired from staying up the previous night while Odhranos was venting and thus being hungover. A little drained from healing her best friend and the flight over here, but she will stay here as long as Artia needed or wanted her here. She offers softly, “hey… Let’s go take a nap with Ava, yeah?”

Artia nods, "It be nice to have someone beside me in the bed, I had gotten use to odhranos being with me. I don't know where he went. But yes we can go nap with her.”
