Goals: A family steeped in ancient Delishan tradition, Val'thyrion lived for centuries in the shadow of stronger Houses. Rarely did they raise their own weapons in battle against their rivals… yet the sudden demise of those rivals at the hands of another often came at the most fortuitous times for Val'thyrion. They excelled at turning Houses against one another, watching from the sidelines while the two waged war then sweeping in to destroy the weakened victor and claim the spoils. Eresandria, eldest daughter of Matron Faeran, came into power when her mother fell ill and has proven to be a competent ruler - House Val'thyrion's sudden rise from the ranks of the lowly masses in recent years is the work of the so-called Lady of Lanterns. Dazzling and charismatic on the surface, Eresandria's disarmingly amicable nature conceals a wicked schemer who has her eyes set upon a position within the Drow Council. The greater influence she could wield would allow her to better direct her own people and reinforce worship of the Dark Mother among them, achieved through a combination of excessive festivities, banquets, and frenzied dance, with enthusiastic lashings of blood sacrifice and murder. She would also like to remind the surface just how fearsome the darker powers can be…
