  • Turnabout Backtalker
    • Rank: E
    • Suggested Complexity: One to two RP sessions, either with a partner or via solo writing
    • Location: Kelay Village
    • Immediate Reward: 1500 gold
    • Description: A recent argument between two vampires at Kelay Tavern has resulted in both parties issuing hunt marks on the other. The characters, which you will freely write as NPCs in your RP, are named Vale and Alen. Vale is a golden-haired “pretty boy”; Alen is a rough and tumbling warrior sort. Plan an attack on your chosen target, who will be hanging around Kelay lackadaisical, awaiting the death of their rival. Remember: you’re dealing with a vampire! **Bonus chance: If you choose to eliminate both vampires, you will gain additional experience and 500 extra gold.

  • A Rude Awakening
    • Rank: D
    • Suggested Complexity: One to two RP sessions, either with a partner or via solo writing
    • Location: Venturil
    • Immediate Reward: 2000 gold
    • Description: Farmers have accidentally disrupted a gryphon’s nest just outside Venturil. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to find a way to lure the winged beast to your location and fight it. You can kill it, compel it to leave, or gain it as an animal ally. The choice is yours!

  • A Roving Band of Ruffians
    • Rank: E
    • Suggested Complexity: One to two RP sessions, either with a partner or via solo writing
    • Location: Outskirts of Chartsend
    • Immediate Reward: 1500 gold
    • Description: Some ne’er-do-wells have been attacking merchant caravans en route to Chartsend. Scouts report a group of five, led by a black-bearded human male nicknamed “The Fiend.” Use whatever methods are at your disposal to kill these small-time crooks or convince them to leave.

  • A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Fame
    • Rank: C
    • Suggested Complexity: Two to three RP sessions, preferably with a partner
    • Location: On or near the bridge leading to Cenril
    • Immediate Reward: 2500 gold
    • Description: A small tribe’s worth of shapeshifters disguised as bards attempted to put on a play at Cenril’s theatre. Management was less than thrilled when the shapeshifters killed numerous extras during their live performance “for realism’s sake.” Speak with the theatre personnel in order to learn that the shapeshifters are believed to have created an encampment near the bridge outside of Cenril. Your reward will come from theatre management once you’ve offered proof of justice served against these troublemakers.
    • Bonus chance: Be especially creative by making things harder on your characters. Have the shapeshifters transform into something that will throw off your groove and make you work harder for your pay. Additional experience and 500 extra gold will be provided.

  • Goblin The Name Of Love
    • Rank: B
    • Suggested Complexity: Two to three RP sessions; partner(s) mandatory
    • Location: Dealer’s choice (anywhere reasonable is fine)
    • Immediate Reward: 4000 gold
    • Description: A bounty has been put out for the safe rescue of a certain male goblin who has been kidnapped for ransom money by other goblins. You must make contact with the Heck’In goblin tribe and meet with the Goblin Princess Mmm’gal, who will reveal that it is her betrothed, the would-be Goblin Prince Mmm’guy, who has been taken by the vengeful Frakk’in goblin tribe. Once you’ve learned where to find the Frakk’in goblins, it’s up to you to put an end to their madness and save Mmm’guy for his beloved Mmm’gal. Beware the Frakk’in goblin leader, Ugh’wha’tevs.

  • He Killed Younglings
    • Rank: C
    • Suggested Complexity: Two to three RP sessions, preferably with a partner
    • Location: Xalious Mountain Range
    • Immediate Reward: 2500 gold
    • Description: A friendly monster rancher named Clyde returned home to his humble abode somewhere in Xalious Village to discover that his favorite litter of frost drake hatchlings have all had their heads bitten off. The marks on the victims indicate that a juvenile dragon, perhaps in a bid to mark its territory, committed the crime. Speak with Clyde for details (remember, you’re in charge of coming up with NPC banter unless I’m in the RP!) and then head out into the mountains to locate the dragon’s den and slay it in the name of lost youth.

  • Tongue-Tied
    • Rank: D
    • Suggested Complexity: One to two RP sessions, with or without a partner
    • Location: Northern Sage Forest
    • Immediate Reward: 2000 gold
    • Description: World-weary retired Larketian officer Dobahci Enarc lives in a secluded forest home deep within the Northern Sage. And Enarc has a problem -- a sister-and-brother pair of young, arrogant werewolves named Lesnah and Leterg simply will not shut up about how they plan to eat him. Every night, Enarc can hear them boasting about his tasty flesh on their way to, well, wherever it is that werewolves go. Enarc would kill the duo himself if it weren't for a back injury he suffered during the Battle for the Bridge. Meet up with the old stalwart and you'll learn that he wishes for an adventurer like you to deliver him the tongues of Lesnah and Leterg as proof of their slaying.
    • Bonus Chance: Diplomatically compel Lesnah and Leterg to stop prattling on about eating Enarc for an additional 250 gold.
