Description

Razen appeared on the surface when he was sixteen. His red eyes knowing nothing but darkness and little artificail light he was blinded immediately. It took him several days just to be able to see clearly. His hair is a brownish black that hangs down to shoulder length. His skin was somewhat different for a shadow gnome. He believes it to be because of the severity of the shadow magic that flows through him, for not only was his skin turned dark, but his blood was dark as well. He stood at 3'3" and weighed in at about 100 pounds.

History

• Razen was born deep beneath The Land of Enchantment, as a small child before he was even a single year old his parents fed him knowledge of the Shadowcraft, forcing it into his undeveloped mind.
• As he grew older the Shadowcraft was all he could think about, even obsessing at times. At the age of three he had released an attack of shadows upon his family, they all survived, but they placed wards on his mind to keep it from happening again.
• His life was about normal for a Shadow Gnome of the area after that. At age six he began to have control over his lesser magics and he played with them often. He constantly teased and frightened the younger gnomes and was always causing trouble. By this time his strength as a Shadowmancer had increased well beyond his years. He began to understand the limits and barriers placed on his mind. And so one day, he removed them.
• At age seven a small band of Drow attacked his settlement of Shadow Gnomes. During the attack the first homes they came to were those in his own tunnel. Screams woke him and he ran outside to see the Drow. He called on his magic, all of it. It surged forward being held back for so long it had built up and multiplied his power several times over. The magic flowed into the tunnel, the Drow didn’t stand a chance. It was on this day that he realized he was stronger than any other of his clan.
• By age ten he had defeated all the gnomes of his year in battle and moved on to the adults. Now he had a goal in life. To become the best at what he did, the Ultimate Shadowmancer!
• Age 16 had come and he had learned all he could form the other gnomes, as well as defeated them as well. He told his father of his intentions to go to the surface and fight the users of darkness here, his father was against it of course; And after hours of arguing his father agreed on one condition. He never returned to them, and so when he left the tunnels his father caved the exit near enchantment.
• Now he is on the surface and makes his first friend, her name is Paislei, the scared woman greats the gnome and accepts him as a good friend. She is the only one he trusts for a long time as he was also diagnosed with Xenophobia as most of his race was. Over time the sensation of being frightened evaporated completely from his consciousness and he joined The Fold.
• Just after his 17 birthday he attempted to bring back the founder and previous leader of the Fold Known as Oosutin. He succeeded with the price being his own life. The portal opened and the voices from the other side tricked him into the portal of the dead. His body now rests there among them. Nobody knows if he will ever find a way out, or if he truly wants out.
