Information

To put it plainly the Steel Collective is a Warband ready to sell their skills. Whether that's guarding a Noble, defending a caravan, hunting down those in need of justice, kill a pesky ice devil or simply to hunt down and kill a man when politics claims it as a gray area. We promise discretion and dedication to your personal mission.

Each and every member of the collective brings unique talents to the clan and are ready to commit themselves to any contract provided. Some of our members prefer stealth, while others prefer good old fashioned open field warfare. Some are cunning and can plot away and others more likely to face a target one on one.

As a neutral clan The Steel Collective does its best to stay out of the politics of country and can be found working for several if the price is right. However, that being said, once a contract is accepted, we will not accept a counter to previously mentioned agreement. Once we have been purchased, we can't be out bought. We don't care if your mission is considered evil or good for that matter. What matters to us is the coin and the challenge.

Clan NPCS

Henry: Info and Description To Come Soon.

Lenny: Info and Description To Come Soon.

Brynna: (Now Deceased. Died in Kahrans assualt on Larket.) She is the collectives local healer having set up shop within their barracks and is available at request. She has offered her services free of charge and only because the Steel Collective offers her both the ability to train her craft and learn weaponry. Brynna was discovered in Chartends by Eirik, where he had promptly recruited her. This wavy haired and freckled brunnette is a petite little thing standing at only 5'4. Though she has the look of innocence about her, she is known for her fiery temper and odd sense of humor which always seems to be just short of its mark. She however finds herself rather amusing.

Constantine: Constantine is an oddball of sorts - a spellblade who has been well trained in phalanx tactics. Standing at roughly five feet eight inches and weighing only one hundred and sixty pounds, his body bears no signs of battle. Always dressed in light armor, and yet no weapons to speak of adorn his body. Closely cropped brown hair, and hazel eyes are his main physical features. He is known for his drinking, and flirtatious demeanor when off duty. Constantine is considered the NPC trainer for most new recruits within the steel collective and runs his own squad of phalanx fighters.

Membership

Requirements for the Clan:

  1. You must be an active player! We are a Warband attempting to grow, inactive members can and will be removed. To show your personal activity we expect to see RPs being logged often. Many of our members are Wiki lurkers.
  2. You must be a respectful player, both In Character and Out of Character. Due to the nature of what we are as a clan, we are expected to RP with many different groups and factions.
  3. You must be willing to participate in clan assigned and personally assigned missions. Some times leaders will assign duties based on what they believe you can handle. Whether thats working as a group or Solo. (Payment is a given)
  4. You must be willing to duel. As a Warband, it's safe to assume that one of the above missions assigned might actually be a duel. We will do our best to help you grow.
  5. Accept constructive criticism. Not all criticism is harsh, I promise. Again, we aim to help the clan by helping you in any area you do not personally feel comfortable in.

Obtaining Membership

It's considered public knowledge that seeking out Aarika, Eirik, Grizelda or Jarith can get you started on entry. All of our recruiting is done IC, we do not recruit on an OOC behalf. To become part of the clan, you must demonstrate your willingness to duel. We know that it can be frustrating and that not all of us can be great at it, but at times it may be required to duel or spar with further members to increase your IC and OOC ability. This is not a pass or fail exam by any means. It lets our characters meet and for the recruiting officer to gauge your personal ability so that we may further help you develop.

Every clan member, upon gaining entry, receives a gold earring. This is the item which proves your membership with the clan.

Rules

Yes, we have rules for staying part of the family which boil down to the aforementioned requirements. However, these rules can and will change from time to time as we see fit and based upon the needs of the group as a whole. If you find yourself in violation, certain IC actions will be taken. Which can lead up to expulsion from the Clan depending upon the severity of the crime.

Current Members and Ranks

OOC NOTE: Ranking system is still being fleshed out. Names may change as things are decided upon.

Matron

This title and spot is reserved and will -never change- for the founder and leader of The Steel Collective. She holds absolute authority over all matters pertaining to the clan. She can recruit, demote, rank up and even kick players from the clan.

Aarika

Chieftain

Members who have reached this rank are considered some of the strongest in the clan. They are Co-leaders and form a sort of advisory position to the matron herself. They can and will assign duties and responsibilities, run clan activities, accept new contracts and even participate in rule enforcement. Like the Matron, they too can recruit, demote (anyone beneath themselves), rank up and even kick players from the clan.

Warmonger

These members are considered senior officers for the sake of rank. They have earned their title through deed and loyalty. They may spear head their own squad of clan members and lead group missions which have been assigned to them.

This position is currently unfilled and those who might fulfill this slot are still being decided upon

Warden

These members are entry level officers and carry a little more responsibility than your average recruit. They are considered skilled and may be asked to help train new members in the ways of war.

This position is currently unfilled and those who might fulfill this slot are still being decided upon

Grunt

These members have shown promise and are considered skilled with at least one weapon/magic style.

This position is currently unfilled and those who might fulfill this slot are still being decided upon

These members have just recently been fully recruited into the clan and now carry the mark of our warband; a gold earring.

Promotions

There are several ways to increase your rank within the clan. Please keep these in mind as you look to progress further with the Steel Collective.

1. Spars and Duels. Logs of these or links sent to the leaders can be used to increase your rank. While these might gain you lower ranks quickly more are needed for each promotion. Leaders have a standing OOC tally to keep track of this.

2. Time and Loyalty. You can and will receive promotions based upon your time and loyalty to the clan and its rules. By loyalty we mean the adherence to our rules, and those put forth by Hollows administration.

3. Involvement. Simply Rping with the clan is not enough. We mean involvement in our contracts and assigned jobs. While we love character development and creating a family atmosphere, such things will not go towards promotions on their own. That falls under time and Loyalty. To receive promotion based on merits, be sure to get involved in our clan missions!
