Character Biography
"There is a house in Kelay They call the Shadowy Den And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy And gods, I know I'm one"
The story starts off at an orphanage, Garrio at the young age of 10 (human years) found himself bouncing from foster home to home. When he was 15 years old, the orphanage sold him off to a crime syndicate in order for Garrio to pay off the debt he would be sent out into the street with the job of pick-pocketing the unsuspecting people. If he ever came home with less then 500 gold pieces, he would face the whip of the don. Needless to say, Garrio became skilled in the skill involving slight of hand. As the years past the jobs began to change. The young man's debt always held over his head even though suspicion often arose that he well paid off the balance. My mother was a theif She stole my new blue jeans My father was a killin' man Down in Kelay The day of Garrios 18th birthday he would be given a task, one of the syndicate's key members was up for trial. Given only a small dagger, and a name Garrio was sent off to find the star witness and dispose of them. After only a day, he found his mark waited for an opportune time and when the moment struck, so to did Garrio. The kill was easy. And all though it was sloppy, Garrio had found his calling.
During his time with the syndicate, the young man came across an elder man Staiwen. The elder man offered Garrio assistance in leaving the syndicate and in turn, he would be come Staiwen's student learning the shadowed arts of assassin, and through various jobs became a theft, a propagandist enginered protection racketeering took part in gambling, loan sharking, drug-trafficking, and fraud. All this done under Staiwen's direction.
"Now the only thing a killer needs is a blade and a bunk And the only time that he's satisfied Is when, he's on, the hunt"
Recently, Staiwen had given Garrio the task to break into a house in vailkrin and retrieve an amulet. When wandering through the house he came across the mistress of the house who didn't take kindly to his snooping (See wiki Invaison) and decided to change him from a human to a vampire.
"Oh mother, tell your children Not to do what I have done Spend your lives in sin and misery In the Shadowy Den."
Since being given the new life, he has been traveling around hollow, ducking Staiwen's other students all in the hopes of letting his former instructor think him dead, having failed the mission. And after all, isn't someone who hides in the shadow from the law, be a no one?
