The Forsaken Tree

Sitting in the center of the Vailkrin Cemetery, this tree looks as though it were dragged straight from the depths of Perdere to strike fear into the souls of those who gaze upon it. The eternal twin moonlight of Vailkrin does not cast reflection nor shadow upon it, further cementing the theory amongst those who know not the circumstances behind its creation. The bark of this tree is a pure black that twists and turns as though it were musculature. Mushrooms the color of sickly pus can be seen creeping along the deeper grooves of the bark. These cannot be harvested, as they are delicate enough that the slightest touch or sensation of wind will cause the fungus to pop and drip yellow and red liquid down the bark of the tree, giving it the appearance of festered wounds. The branches desperately reach for the sky at unnaturally squared angles, which never bear leaves nor fruit; only the rot that feeds upon it.
The festering fluids that seep from this tree will instantaneously rot away anything that attempts to touch it or contain it, whether the item be organic or inorganic in structure, blessed or blighted. As a result, The Forsaken Tree needs little guarding... Only observing.
