Snazzy Swine Acres

Emilia | Less than seven setting suns lingered between the present and the incoming year. The Snazzy Swine Acres was a bustling home with preparations for a celebration night to bring in the change, however one member of the family was missing having flown off to find Penelope with growing concerns about the impending arrival of the twins who were not due for another month or so. Lynn was determined to bring the healer back to the farm with her as soon as she possibly could. It would begin with a simple invite to the planned festive celebration with the added urgency that her mother had volunteered to go on bed rest which was a lie, but the girl knew anyone that knew her mother would know something had to be not quite right if she was suddenly putting herself on full bedrest.

Back at the farm the very round pregnant Emilia was prepping food for the celebration days ahead of the party. Even if all the invited guests could not make it out to their Venturil home she knew that the triplets, especially the boys, would be able to eat a feast meant for a large crowd. Between the peeling of potatoes the woman was waddling around the home to clean and reclean different areas of the home. The Genasi had definitely hit the nesting phase of the pregnancy. Some, like Lynn, might see it as a sign of an early arrival of the twins she carried and others, like the boys, would assume that she had fallen even more victim to pregnancy brain.

“Mom! You already cleaned the table five times and not a soul has touched it since you last cleaned it two potatoes ago!” Liam stated as he tried to not fall into a fit of laughter watching his mom waddling around their long kitchen table to wipe it down once more. There was something comical about watching her walk like a duck that kept him on his toes with watching his laugher around her. Why she walked like a bird he wasn’t sure, but blamed Irenic in full for it. He was after all an avian making his newest siblings winged ones too. His hopes was she didn’t have a permanent duck walk after they arrived as it would definitely hurt his swag with the ladies.

Leo was outside with his wings out as he carefully stuck glowing stones around the outside of the home to decorate for the incoming celebration and would make sure his mother didn’t attempt to use a ladder again to try to decorate herself. It was also a way for the lad to keep a watch out for his sister’s return, hopping that she indeed would make it back before tonight for the celebration. She had been gone for days on whatever special project she just had to do that got her out of party setup. Leo, along with Liam, were getting tired of trying to come up with excuses to Emilia and Irenic about where Lynn was or what she was doing for the past few days. Their latest excuse was she was working on one of her ghost mending procedures to help someone cross over and couldn’t be disturbed by anyone during this delicate phase of the process. So far, neither parent had found an issue with it leaving Lynn to her work and the boys pulling extra work around the farm.

Irenic has been keeping himself wildly occupied as well making sure everything is safe or baby proof for when the twins arrive and even taking some extra precautions for flight prone infants. On the other hand, he’s been supportive of Emilia through every step of this pregnancy, but he does gently remind her from time to time about getting some rest and he’s gotten pretty good at anticipating her every need. In the back of his mind, there is a nagging feeling that’s weighing on him, where is Lynn. He trusts the young lady that she can take care of herself, but she’s never been gone for this long without checking in. Setting down another bag of small glowing stones to decorate the front of the house with, he looks up at the progress that Leo has made already, “lookin’ good from down here bud!” Then he waves up at the boy before walking into his home and taking a deep inhale in, “ohh, whatever that is smells delicious.” Seeking out his future wife across the room, he makes his way over to her and slinks his arms around her front as he pulls her back against his front for a sort of embrace. “Everything looks perfect, Lia. What do you say,” he starts as he begins to subtly sway as if they are dancing to music, “we move this to the living room area for a foot rub break?” Placing a kiss on the top of her head before snaring her chin between his fingers so she may look up over her shoulder at him and at this moment his silvery gaze takes in every feature of this beautiful mother to his children which can’t help but to make him smile warmly down at her. Gently taking the cleaning supplies from her so he may take her by the hand and lead her to their big comfy love seat. Propping up the throw pillows so she may sit with her legs draped over his lap and silently instructing her to sit with the gesture of his hand so he may begin rubbing her feet. How sore they must be from all their hard work!? It’s a slightly intimate way he can get her to relax and it’s worked almost every time, but he does want to have some moments for just the two of them before the babies arrive because he knows that when they do, they will be their whole world for a while.

(1/2) Meanwhile, back in Kelay, Penelope Halifax is feeding hay to horses. Delilah (Dee for short) and Suni. It was a moment of piece for the woman as the morning light casted over Kelay through the cracks of the trees. Light fog rested near the ground to create that morning dew. The frost was sure to come in soon, for the healer hinted that the air was getting crisper, and snow would soon fall. The Ardelian then pulls out two apples, “For being good sports this morning for my lateness in feeding,” both horses neigh before reaching out to take the apples from the palm of the healer. Then, a shadow casted and moss green eyes to trail to land on… Lynn? “Surprised to see you,” the woman would start before the girl would start explaining her mother’s situation. Emilia. Yes, there was the celebration, but the second set of news has Penelope thrown. “Bed rest…? Emilia? Err… let’s go. I should check her out.” Automatically, the woman is off with Lynn back to Snazzy Swine Acres.

(2/2) Once the two make it, the Ardelian does not wait for Lynn, instead she marches across the farm field past the pigs in tutus and the cows in flower crowns to the house. She knocks on the door, which is silly because Lynn was with her to begin with. If someone opens the door, the first thing out of the healer’s mouth would be: “Where’s Em?” But, if it is Emilia herself who opens the door, Penelope is going to have one dopey look on her face of surprise that the ice genasi was up and moving.

Emilia let Irenic talk her away from the food spread to taking a break in the living room. She had carefully been hiding truths from him and everyone else recently. Busy work to keep everyone moving and keeping up the appearance life was going smoothly. All she wanted to do was make it into the new year without chaos. End the year with a celebration, even if it meant reverting back to old skills of hidden truths and easy lies from frozen lips, something her youth had taught her all too well to be something -someone she wasn’t. Liam turns on his brightest smile as he sees the beautiful healer accompanying his sister to the house knowing full well she would turn him down like every other time. The distraction has him dropping a decoration from his height above his brother leading to a conk on the head that turned into the boys brawling in the side yard of the house over the incident. Lynn walked alongside Penelope to the front door having to take larger steps to keep up with the determined strides of the healer who actually paused to knock on the door. Curious mismatched eyes staring up at her before the door slowly opened to an empty area of the entrance to the home.

In the passing few weeks the Genasi had blossomed out in roundness to the point that to open her own front door she had to stand next to it then walk with the door as it swung in to complete the task before walking around it to greet anyone. Except she was not expecting to see Penelope or Lynn standing in front of the door. The mother was up and off the couch as fast as we waddle would let her to go investigate the noise outside that consisted of the boys brawling in the yard this time. Wide blue eyes went from taller to shorter female as her words, in an even tone, left those pale blue lips, “Lynn, I was under the impression you were working on your project and to not be disturbed.” As if on cue the boys brawl ended and their voices in unison could be heard from the yard, “She made us do it!” before the fight was back on.

The eyes of mother and daughter locked intently. Knowing the dark haired girl was enough to know the silence wasn’t true. There was a private conversation going on between the pair as they stared each other down. Finally, one broke the silence and it was the one who rarely if ever spoke aloud to anyone for any reason. Her voice was raised in between a yell and a normal conversation tone of speaking people with a sweet almost siren effect, “I had to! You were not going to! You are stubborn and not listening to Edith or Penelope about the warnings! You knew weeks ago the fire passed the end of your belly starting up your chest! You fool everyone with foot cramps when you know it is contractions and not the false ones! Hours apart is not an excuse! You should have summoned moons ago for her! MOONS! You keep everyone busy and distracted with this stupid celebration of a new year but it will be a funeral for you if you keep trying to let them cook longer, to reach a closer to full term single birth!!! I DON’T WANT TO BURRY YOU SIX FEET UNDER FROSTMAW!!!” The last of her words raised to a full pitch yell that shook the ground around the house causing skeletons of mice and other small animals to rise from the depths of the dirt and scurry from the explosion of Lynn before she stormed off toward the barn, a dark mist of energy lingering around her that dared no one to go after the darkling. Emilia was left with her mouth hanging open in stunned silence. Every living animal on the farm ceased to make a sound. Emilia and her hidden truths had been revealed.

Irenic is probably far too trusting if he really doesn’t know anything has been amiss. Emilia has been giving him longer chore lists than usual, but he just wants to make everything perfect for his fiancé and mother to his children. When there is a knock at the door, a brow quirks up, “maybe it’s carolers. You rest here my shortst-“ but before he could do anything for Emilia, she was already halfway to doing it herself as usual. He loves her determination and hardheadedness, but he does help the rather round in the middle little woman off their couch and they arrive at the door together. With a charming grin, he greets Penelope, “hey there, what brings you out this way?” He only caught on to the fact that a silent conversation was transpiring right at the end. “Lynn,” he starts in a concerned matter at the way she raised her voice at her mother, but it was the substance of the outburst that shut him right up because Lynn has every right. His stomach sinks into his shoes and the concerned look shifts to Emilia by his side. Just then, the house trembles from the youngest’s untapped power and he braces himself along the doorframe and pulls Emilia close. When most would be relieved that this dark young lady excuses herself from their presence, Irenic could only think of Lynn and how she must be feeling. “Wait,” he tries to call after Lynn as he steps out onto the porch, but he has picked up when Lynn really doesn’t want to be bothered and understands that she just needs to cool off for a bit. Making a mental note to check in on her the minute he’s able and then he turns to Emilia with his brow knit together as he asks, “is that true? Have you been suffering at the twins’ expense?” Then he looks to Penelope, “what do you need to make this transition easiest for you?” What room should they set up in, do they need certain items and things alike. Sure, he’s a little miffed that Emilia didn’t trust him with what she’s been going through, but now is not the time or the place. Right now, they need to get these babies out of his fiancé.

Penelope is wide eyed at the fact two boys are brawling. The house seems a little tense, and the fact that Emilia is now scolding Lynn makes everything much more confusing. Especially when Emilia was up on her feet answering the door. “So you lied,” she noted. Lynn was lying about the bed rest. Irenic then comes into view, and although Penelope wants to smile in a greeting, she cannot because of the loud outburst that comes from the daughter. Awkward. Kids yelling at their mother. Then again, Lynn had a point. The Ardelian observes the genasi with a concerned glint in her eye as she listens to Lynn’s wild confrontation. Fire is passing on to Emilia’s chest, babies need to be due, and the healer should have been summoned for the job. Why has Penelope not been checking in? Well, Lionel called for sea voyages and the freckled woman was away. Once Lynn storms off, the druid blows out a large amount of air from her lips. “Well, that was… uh,” intense. Nel cannot seem to manage the right words, so she shakes her head. “Err, you should’ve obviously called a little sooner, heh. But, despite the adolescent hormones, I’m here now, and you’re still… here!” Penelope Halifax always looked on the brighter side, but that does not mean that the seriousness of the situation was not on her face. Moss eyes then trail to Irenic who is also worried and clueless it seems. Dad preparation was not easy by any means. Taking care of three kids and a pregnant wife? That would make anything go over a head. “Well, I’m guessing anywhere comfortable that Emilia wants. Uh, the more sanitary the better?” Truth of the matter was, Penelope was just as nervous as the rest of them because not once in her life has she ever delivered twins that had such fiery capabilities. Literally.

Emilia watched as Lynn stalked off toward the barn after her vocal and magical outburst. It was times like this she could see the ancient darkness from her birth father in the young one. The Genasi's attention shifted from child to her soon-to-be husband with an apologetic smile crossing frosted blue lips, “This isn’t my first rodeo and you easily over react. I mean you demanded bedrest the moment we found out. I didn’t want to send you into early panic about the babies which would in turn cause us stress and possibly lead to an early birth,” she answered with a gentle apologizing tone as she lifted a hand to pat his arm gently and in a reassuring manner. Then the healer turned toward Penelope, “I have one of the guest rooms turned into a medical room already,” she answered to which room would be the most sterile. Part of the recent onslaught of chores given to Irenic and the boys had been the conversion of this room for another purpose from guest room to clinic room. It never hurt, in the healer’s mind, to have a room for medical procedures in the house. It was as she finished the answer there was a sudden rush of warmth that ran between her legs with the natural break of her water. The boys were now standing on the porch behind Penelope and finished with their brawl. It was Liam that pointed and began to laugh, “Mum peed herself!” As his brother laughed at the sight Leo raised a brow, “It doesn’t smell like pee….I will get a mop”. A blue blush crossed pale freckled features of the healer, “I think, Now, is the time. Don’t worry Penelope I will be awake and I will guide you through it. Everything should be in the room, assuming all goes to normal plans…”

Irenic gently places a hand over her own when Emilia reaches for his arm in reassurance because he can understand her concerns, but what did he expect? She knows him quite well! A quirked brow is aimed at Liam after his comment with a slight smirk and Irenic quips back, “not quite.” Just as he was about to ask one of the boys to help clean up, Leo is already on it. Giving a confident nod to Penelope while saying, “we got this.” Even if he doesn’t believe it in this moment, it sure seems like he does. “Come now, short stack,” he turns on that charming grin again as he takes Emilia by the same hand she offered to his arm and leads the way to the guest room turned impromptu clinic. In the long list of chores around the home, farm and looking after the barnyard animals, he kind of forgot until Emilia said something just now. Once they reach the room, Irenic helps Emilia over to the patient bed and gets her comfortable.

Penelope gives a stern nod at Emilia’s comment on a medical room in the house. “I see,” the girl never would have thought to create a medical room. In a house. Well, Penelope would guess it made sense. The woman then twitches when Liam is pointing to the water break on Emilia. “Uh, I guess it is time, isn’t it?” There was an instinct however, one that made Nel quick on her feet to escort Emilia to the spare room. The healer offers a hand in case the genasi needs one to squeeze, but of course Irenic is there for support as well if the man was preferable. There was an exhale of nerves that came out of the Ardelian’s next breath, “I’ll try not to worry. I mean, after all, we are bringing life into the world,” the world that seemed to be full of corruption, but still birth was a miracle. So they said. Moss green eyes look to Irenic, “We got this,” she would conclude before they end up in the medical room. Nel let’s Emilia settle, for she knew that Emilia would know the steps to deliver. In the meantime, Penelope would wash her hands for prep before walking over to stand near the medical bed. “So, how we doing? Are we ready to deliver some babies?” The healer has a confident smile because Sven forbid she shows the true panic of delivering phoenix babies. Good lord.

Emilia waddled in an awkward fashion with fluids leaking with each contraction as the trio of adults made their way toward the medical room of the farm house with Leo walking along behind them mopping up as they went. There was no mistake to be made there was a bright smile on the lad's face knowing soon his siblings would be here. Once the adults were in the room the boy would give his mom a kiss on the forehead while wishing her a quick time. Leo then took off from the room and toward the barn to check on his little sister. With the help of Irenic she switched to a not soaked and more open patient gown then was up into the bed, as comfortable as a woman in labor could be. A hand resting on her stomach as it hardened with the next contraction, almost fascinated by the whole ordeal. In shock still at the reality of the whole miracle about to happen. The next contraction came with a stronger wave of pain causing the small lady to grip at Irenic’s hand in a death grip. Bright eyes turned toward Penelope with a trusting smile, “Yes, let us have some babies…” the rest of the sentence was lost to another contraction that gifted Irenic another death grip squeeze to his hand.

Irenic is expecting the worst to happen, but what he’s not used to is Emilia in pain and he finds that he really hates it. The death grip is unexpected, really, so we can’t blame the fool for wincing and buckling at the knees when he lets some curse words utter in a mumble. The avian is a strong fella, but Emilia has her own strength for sure! Once she releases him, he lets out his held breath and stands himself up beside her, but it’s the second sneak attack with another wave of pain in his hand that gets the lanky goof to his knees. The chair next to the bed is accidently bumped into and scoots a few inches, so more of his mumbled curse words are drawn out, but to his credit, he never lets go of Emilia’s hand. Finally, Irenic stands back up with an embarrassed sort of smirk while bracing his hand for more squeezing while the other gently caresses her wild curly locks away from her face. Placing his forehead on her own while softly offering up words of encouragement, “I’m here my Lia, I’ll never leave your side. We’re in this together.”

Penelope watches Emilia with the contractions. “Just breathe,” the Ardelian would state calmly. The woman would mimic some breathing exercises for the ice genasi if she needed it. Emilia had been through this process before, so really, Penelope had nothing to worry about. The healer goes ahead and tells the “patient” of the process that she is about to do like any civil doctor would do. “Let’s see how dilated we are,” and then the woman would follow the process that any midwife or doctor would do. But in the routine of checking how far Emilia had come along, she notices something strange. The genasi’s hip bones were not following the routine of a normal labor. “Uh,” Penelope keeps that forced smile on her face. “Don’t panic because we -are- delivering these babies tonight,” she then looks at Irenic to give him a reassuring smile. “The metal in your hip bones are not separating like they should. The only way we can deliver is through c-section.” The woman stands up. “It’s going to be okay.” The healer sort of looks at Emilia with a cant of her head. “I remember that you don’t really feel pain, right? Like that time when we practiced when you ‘slipped’ and ‘fell’. You won’t need any pain-medication, right?” It was a genuine question. The girl would then look to Irenic, “I don’t know how much you want to watch this, but just know it’ll be okay. I want you to also do me a favor. You need a stethoscope, you are going to keep track of Emilia’s heartbeat to make sure it does not spike.” The Ardelian then looks at Emilia. “Let’s get you prepped.” The woman would then bring over a bucket of water to clean Emilia’s abdomen for when the incision would happen. Once Penelope preps Emilia, and gets the supplies she needs, the Ardelian would be ready. “Ready for some babies?”

Emilia watched as Irenic went down with her grip on his hand with a half laughing smile at him making sure to file it away to later make fun of her feather stick. Time in the laboring process seemed to make the world slow down for the pregnant woman though glancing out the window after the most recent on progress revealed it was now dark outside and that time had been moving along. The news of a c-section did not phase the woman as with the triplets it was how Lynn had been brought into the world. Turning bright eyes to Penelope she smiled, “Don’t worry about me. I will be alright, promise.” Irenic knew the Genasi was able to feel pains again, but even the healer wasn’t sure the extent to which her feeling had been returned by the unborn twins. The healer nature in the woman kicked in as she gave out a few instructions to Irenic, “There is a tray prepped for this situation sitting on the counter under the blue cloth. Should have all the instruments Penelope is about to need to slice me open. The tray below it with the white cloth has cord clamps and other items that might be needed for the twins once they are out. The cupboard is chalk full of clothes and towels that could be used as blankets to wrap them up in. If you open the tall cupboard, another is a stand for the instrument tray and there are the stands for the infant stations. Slide them out and lock the trays on, when they come out it will be easier to use those to check them out and later clean them up.” Not her first rodeo as either an expecting mom or as a midwife in delivering littles, but she has all her faith in Penelope introducing these little ones to the world safely.

Irenic quirks a brow at Penelope because she is looking at him while explaining the issue with Emilia's hips and without really thinking, he replies, "I don't have metal in my hips?" Let's give this man a break, ok? He's a little (a lot) out of his element here. "Oh? Where is this... 'sea section' and how do we get there?" The poor guy thinks it's some special place that helps with complicated birth giving, but as the conversation moves along, things start making more sense. Then he realizes what she's talking about and panic does set in, but Irenic is quite good at not outwardly showing it and if anyone plans on poking fun at Irenic's 'blond' moments, he will just say that he was trying to be funny to keep things moving smoothly. Now he's got quite a list of things to put together or do and he leans down to place a kiss on the back of Emilia's hand before he has to let go in order to fetch all these things. Working backwards, he grabs plenty of towels and a couple of blankets to drape over his shoulders while he looks for the stand in the next cabinet. Tucking the stand under his arm, he can now pick up the stethoscope before slinging that around the back of his neck, finally he delicately picks up the tray and supports it with one hand. Propping open the stand for the tray before carefully setting it down next to a few towels in case Penelope needs them. Then he pulls the two infant stations out next to each other to lock everything in place on the other side of Penelope before draping the two baby blankets along with two towels for cleaning within, but at this, he hesitates for a moment as he considers, 'wow… soon there will be two little forms of life that fit these small beds and they will be mine.' Quickly bringing himself out of it, he gets a small rag and rings some cool water out of it so he may join Emilia's side again. Taking her hand and having the cool rag at the ready to dab any sweat that might break on her beautiful face. With her body feeling pains and touch during her pregnancy, it is uncertain if she can also sweat from feeling too warm, but he's prepared. Finally, he hooks the stethoscope in his ears before gently placing the other part under Emilia's clothes where her hearts are with his free hand.

A smile crosses the Ardelian’s lips when Irenic begins to question the ‘sea section’. Lips sort of twitch out of the nerves that cross her, yet all settles as the man finally realizes what is going on and breaks to get the supplies needed. All the while, Penelope looks down at Emilia, “I trust you’re telling me the truth. If any moment you feel pain, let me know, I’ll stop and we’ll give an herbal substitute to numb it.” The woman then parts for the tray of supplies that Emilia prepped. She covers the lower half of Emilia with a shield. No one wanted to watch this, really. The leader was good. On point. The genasi truly thought of everything. Once the tray is rolled over, she gives Irenic and Emilia both a nod before grabbing a scalpel. The woman starts just below the naval and begins to cut vertically up the abdomen. If Emilia would feel the pain at all, the woman would stop and supplement. She would know that the woman would have some sort of pain supplement in the room. If not, she would continue while making a bikini cut and then another incision to get to the fetus’ themselves. Once ready, the woman would place the scalpel down before reaching with a prepped warm hand for any fiery babies. The first twin is pulled out as Penelope’s hand glows red. The clamps would be grabbed to place them on the umbilical cord, so a cut would be given. “Irenic, here,” Penelope has a big, dopey grin on her face for the first baby was out. If Irenic would come forth to grab the first twin, he would notice that the first twin was, in fact, a boy. A boy that had been delivered before the hour. “Go ahead and clean and wrap your baby boy up, and then put him in the bed over there because we have one more,” the Ardelian would nod and pass off the baby if Irenic was ready. Then, the woman would turn to deliver the next twin. Once pulled out, the twin would be a baby girl. Bringing the baby girl into the New Year. The woman would repeat the same process by clamping the cord and cutting it before turning to hand the next baby to Irenic if he was prepared. If not, the Ardelian would quickly swaddle the girl with a blanket. Then, the healer would turn to the womb to deliver the placenta before placing it in a bucket on the medical tray. She then continues to stitch up Emilia where the incisions were made. The whole process of delivery and sewing took about thirty-five to forty minutes, for this was not the healer’s first rodeo. Emilia would then be given a layer of a salve to help heal the wounds quicker and gauze and medical tape would be placed over that. Babies were delivered, Emilia was in one piece, and the Ardelian was on a healer’s adrenaline high. Life was good.

Emilia flashed a smile at Penelope that was intended to share her assurance she would speak up if she was in pain. Irenic was given a smooch as she whispered to him, "Ready to be a dad times two plus three?" Then came the first cut of the blade. Emilia felt the pain as it soared through her flesh, but the facade of the healer never changed to show any signs of it. One too many times being kidnapped and turned into a mad science experiment. It was only moments after being removed from the womb that the little boy let out his first wail and oh did that wee little one have a set of lungs on him. He came out extra warm from the heat of the womb though it slowly settled down to a normal temperature known to most humans. His little wings coated in grey fluffy down feathers giving no indication to what his true feathers color will be. Mixed with his cries the sound of fireworks going off in the yard could be heard along with the excited cheers from the triplets as they brought in the New Year. Next up was a little girl with a shrill high pitched cry after being brought into the world. She was a spitting image of her older brother if only for the difference in gender. Taking after him with her little grey fluffy wings. Both babies sharing the startling ice-blue eyes of their mum with traces of little tuffs of blonde atop their heads. Once Penelope had removed both babies and the placenta she would be able to witness as the womb simply melted away into nothing, leaving behind an empty space where one should be. The magic of the pheonix that had given a miracle was gone and taking with it a price to be paid, no more offspring. All mended and stitched together again the healer would look down at Penelope with a glowing smile on her face that comes from becoming a mom, even if it was for the fourth and fifth time. Her smile never faded, "Thank you, Penelope. I don't know what we would do without you." Exhausted from a crazy birth gone from laboring to c-section the new mom let out a yawn as her gazed turned to fall on Irenic and the twins. Something about seeing him with his little minis set the world right in the midst of all the chaos.

Irenic locks eyes with his partner, his love, the one that so wholly completes him and the subtle grin that forms on his full lips says it all in reply to her question. He becomes a rock and anchor for his future wife as she's so gracefully suffering pain in sacrifice for their kids and he places a soft sweet kiss on her forehead. When Venezio takes his first breath into this realm and greets it with a cry... the whole world fades away, but he has to regrettably let go of Emilia's hand in order to take the boy and clean him up like Penelope instructs. With a kiss to his love's hand, he quickly moves to help, but to him it felt as if everything was in slow motion and he couldn't get to his baby boy fast enough. The little boy was still making full use of his lungs as fireworks sound out back to ring in the new year, but Irenic cannot even believe the little creation in his arms as he cleans him up, "hiii there, my son." Irenic may be a tall scary avian, but as soon as he looks upon his son, there is change in the man and his voice softens as he speaks to the baby in his arms. As soon as the child hears that familiar timbre, the newborn's eyes slowly open and Irenic swallows hard as tears well up in his eyes when he sees those same eyes he fell in love with now belong to the baby boy. As soon as he gets the boy wrapped up and settled, he is being handed another baby and the previous stages follow from before. Making sure to have a steady grip, but handle the newborns like glass, it is odd to see the tall gruff man tending to something so delicately and going along as if it is all second nature to him. Looking down at this baby girl, this time a lone tear does slip down the avians cheek as his smile is so wide that it looks like it might break his whole face. His heart feels like it could burst from his chest as he nestles the girl in one arm before leaning town to pick up the boy as he softly tells them, "shhh now, let's go see mommy." As he says the word 'mommy' his gaze locks to Emilia as he is still smiling like the happiest idiot on the planet while he brings her babies over to her and rests them both in each of her arms. "Can you even believe it," he leans on the bed and wraps an arm around Emilia, "they are going to get away with so much… they also have your eyes." He reaches down and gently strokes the baby girl's straight blonde hair, "looking at her reminds me so much of my mother, Asuraella…" Then he looks up to Penelope and his grin softens, "thank you so much, Penelope. We have plenty of food out in the kitchen from our celebration to ring the new year. Whenever you feel up to it, help yourself please and of course our guest house is yours for the night to get plenty of rest," the healer can stay however long she wants, but surely she has business to attend to that isn't in Venturil.

Penelope finds herself beginning to clean around the area. Disinfecting medical instruments that had been used for delivery and making sure her hands are clean. As a nurturer, Penelope eyes as Irenic holds the babies, making sure neither are blue. The girl then relaxes, and a graceful smile rests on her smooth lips at Irenic’s reaction to his newborns. The bliss of life. After the two before her had been in the darkness, they were finally looking forward to a brighter future. As a family. A family with five squirts now. A smirk crosses her face as she thinks of the thought. Irenic a new dad of now five. As the babies are placed with Emilia, she grins. “You did great, Emilia, and Irenic, you’re going to be a -great- father.” She looks between the two with ease. “I think I’ll stay. It’s a long trip back to Kelay. Yerrel should be okay managing the hut since he has Ruari with him. These days, I’m barely there anymore.” Between the Warrior’s Guild and the travelling for medical needs, it was hard for her to be ever in the Sage area. Even if it was her home. The healer was a wanderer. The girl pushes the tray to the opposite end of the room and stands near the doorway. “I’m gonna grab a bite, and unwind since it is late, after all.” She runs a hand through her tangled hair. “If you need -anything-. I mean, -anything-: parental break, help with feeding, even feeding the triplets, cleaning, or whatever the case,” she knows Emilia is fully capable of these things, but it never helped to offer the extra hand, “just let me know,” she concludes. “Also, keep me updated on those names. I’ll let you two ponder,” she grins and then slowly slips from the door. The woman was automatically moving to the kitchen for a dish, and then she was going to be off to bed; leaving the two parents to their cute, winged baby babes.

Emilia smiles at Penelope before she departs the room to go and find food in the kitchen. The mass cooking from earlier having gone mostly untouched, except for the food the triplets had eaten. In the kitchen she would be greeted by an eager Liam willing to wait on her every moment to make sure the beautiful healer was well taken care of after bringing his siblings into the world. Snuggling the little bundles of cozy tiny babies the Genasi turned her gaze up to Irenic if only for a moment, "All the kids have my eyes, how will you ever manage?" It was true all five of her offspring had her blue eyes, even if Lynn only sported one blue eye. With her gaze back down at the little pale, yet not nearly as colorless as her flesh, faces the healer let out a content sigh happy to hold the little blessings. "Asuraella is a beautiful name for a beautiful little one. We could call her Ella for short," she commented back in agreement to the name Irenic had chosen for their daughter. Studying the little man staring back up at her the Genasi finally spoke, "Venezio." A small crossed her lips watching the little one seemingly agreeing to the name, if only because he made no objection noise to it. "Our little Enzo and Ella," she cooed at the newborns.
