Summary: Brennia and Mesdoram have made it to Frostmaw in search of Livi, but something goes awry and an important question is asked.

Mountains of Frostmaw – Near the Hidden Mountaintop Coliseum

Mesdoram | These mountains usually expose travelers and tourists to frigid, subzero cold; however, there are no clouds in the sky today as the sun beams brightly; the four adventures are blessed with a more manageable thirty degrees Fahrenheit temperature. Arriving where Mes last saw Livi, he spots the specific mountain ledge where the feline rushed and rubbed against Hawkeye. Turning back to address Dhrada and Aiset, Mesdoram gives them his first command. “Hang back with Brennia. This will only take a minute.” The two happily accept this order as they still have concerns over the drow’s rapid rise through the ranks as Brennia’s bodyguard; taking the chance to ask for clarification, one of them mumbles softly to Brennia. “Can we trust this drow? After he mutilated one of our own?” Mesdoram hears the questions posed to Bre and smiles wryly as he tracks through the snow away from the three… he will let Brennia elaborate as much or as little as she pleases.

Peering over the precarious ridge, Mesdoram makes a cryptic comment looking down at the jagged rocks and sheer distance one would have to travel. “Yeah… I’d say one jump would have done the job, Hawk.” Taking measures to not recreate that depressing scenario, Mesdoram turns to his right where he remembers hearing Livi’s cries as the miniature, starving cub came running out from the tree-lines toward her rescuer that day. Motioning to Brennia and the others to follow, he points over to the trees as he walks leisurely to his destination. “There, she came from this location last.” Not waiting for them to arrive, Mesdoram tracks into the forest alone but still very visible for Brennia and the nagas to see him. The drow effortlessly glides over the blanket of snow, attempting to find any modicum of evidence that Livi is still in the mountain town.

Mesdoram marches about a hundred feet inside the forest where he sees a pile of snow collecting unevenly in comparison to the other snowfall. Curiosity gets the best of him as he kneels and begins digging into the snow to uncover a sad sight. As he stands up in frustration, Mesdoram has revealed the corpse of a juvenile skeleton of a snow leopard accompanied by three baby kittens not even weighing a pound; these poor babies had been frozen to death and have barely decomposed as the permafrost to has preserved most of their tissue and fur. The scene reminds the drow of the impossible odds of his mission, standing stoically somber wondering if Livi has suffered a similar fate… He hears several footsteps approaching from behind him; assuming it is Brennia, Dharda and Aiset, Mesdoram updates his angel and comrades. “It would appear in her final act, this leopard grew too weak to venture out for food… her right leg is broken by the hip; essentially a death sentence for any creature in this snow… these cubs huddled for warmth against their mother looking for shelter…” Mesdoram quietly hopes they at least had full bellies from their mother’s milk before the cold took their lives. “Livi was taken safely away from a former associate of ours – someone who also hasn’t been seen in fifteen years… I do not believe this corpse to be Livi. Fan out but never more than twenty feet from one another – if we don’t find a clue within the hour, we can go home.” Updating his orders, Mesdoram elects to stay within five feet of Brennia: wanting to keep a closer eye on his love.

Brennia has folded her wings around herself like a cloak for added warmth in the frigid temperatures of Frostmaw. Brennia does as she is told and the naga can care less about what the drow does, he isn't their duty to protect, but mostly due the fact that Mesdoram can more than handle himself. She pulls her gaze from watching her Sapphire in the distance to Aiset, "I am so sorry about that." Her gaze is so sincere and kind that it makes both Aiset and Dhrada to look away from the avian because they are not used to such warmth - especially when most of their kind has been quite cold to her. Her grace, kindness, patience and warmth is something they are beginning to trust, maybe even enjoy, "I know things are uncertain and a bit lost because of the Queen's recent absence and shift, but I believe things are looking up." They look to Brennia with hope in their eyes and she shares that same hope for she misses Regi as well.

Her gaze is back on Mesdoram as her smile cannot be helped, looking as if a fool dazed with love in her eyes, "as for Sapphire. He was only protecting me and I trust him with my life. I feel a sense of security when I am near him that I haven't experienced… ever? I do not mean to speak for him, but I believe that if he had to, he would walk through fire if it could keep me from harm," she finally looks back at the warriors. "Maybe you don't have to trust them. I do and I hope that is enough for you," but she is still smiling so sweetly which is poking those cute dimples in her cheeks and they are forced to look away from the shine her kindness radiates once more because they are ill equipped to handle it. Needless to say, her answer set them straight as they try to wrap their heads around such devotion.

Brennia and the guards follow Mesdoram. When he uncovers the solemn sight, she unfolds her wings to kneel in the snow next to Mesdoram, "what poor souls." There is genuine despair in her expression and soft timbre as her wing gently drapes along Sapphire's broad shoulders in attempts to comfort him. "That is good news," she mentions when he informs them that this is not Livi. When they stand back up, she chooses to stay close to Mesdoram and search all around them for anything at all.

Mesdoram unconsciously wraps his arm around Brennia as she covers him with her wing; seemingly seeking to soothe his angel as well, Mes reciprocates the energy and snugly brings her into his body in a loving side hug. As they ease the embrace, his hand gently glides to Bre’s lower back as she stands back up and nudges Brennia along with him as they travel deeper into the forest. Creating some space to track in front of Bre, Mesdoram searches for any sign that might help aid them. Traveling another two-hundred feet from the snow leopard bodies, the couple and naga guards stumble upon a clearing with a well-made wooden cabin covered in snow and equipped with an unlit campfire pit, logs stacked neatly on the building’s eastern wall, and a shed standing about fifty feet from the campfire set.

With a perplexed look, Mesdoram stops and looks behind him… doing some calculations in his head. Studying the campsite more closely, Mesdoram stares towards the stairs and upwards to the cabin’s door where he sees the evidence he needs… a bit of anger begins bubbling below the surface as his blood pressure starts rising. “Do I look to be in a gaming mood?” The words escape his mouth with vitriol dripping from his tone; without giving his entourage proper notice, he tosses his gear behind one of the tree stump seats circling the empty fire pit. Making his way to the pile of wood, Mesdoram grabs three logs and assembles the pieces into a makeshift tepee formation; as he now goes to the shed, the padlock around the door hinge is rather large and quite visible from Brennia’s point of view. This does not deter Mesdoram as he… checks under the place mat on top of the steps, finds the key to the shed, and unlocks it?? Clearly, Mesdoram has knowledge of this place… something seems off here.

After opening the door so hard that he breaks the upper hinge, Mesdoram finds a couple of blankets, kindling, gas, and chairs which he begins taking charge of arranging four chairs in a circle around the pit. “Not everyone is a fan of wooden seats, moron.” He mutters to himself as more resentment seeps from his mouth. The guards seem very concerned or at the least confused as to what Mesdoram is doing… but electing not to inquire in fear of setting Mesdoram over the edge. After successfully starting a fire for Brennia and his guards, the drow clenches his fist and cracks his neck as he allows every cervical vertebrae to release the tension from the past ten minutes; feeling less agitated now, Mesdoram begins a professional apology. “All – it seems I was mistaken. This mission is folly and can no longer be of help for us in this current place. Please, rest and enjoy the meat from my sack – I have deer, fish, elk, and plenty of bread for you to have your share.”

Not waiting for a response, Mesdoram starts skewering the meats as the other three stand around even more confused than before; as Brennia and the nagas chit chat a bit, Mesdoram places the three types of meat on three separate skewers and hangs the iron rods over the campfire. The biggest blessing in this colossal waste of time is that the weather, while less than ideal, is still sunny and without wind… small victories here. “We will rest, get some food in your bellies, and we will start trekking home – I will not subjugate your time to pipe dreams.” Feeling he has explained… enough of their predicament, Mesdoram excuses himself by nodding to Brennia, Aiset, and Dhrada individually, apologizing to each of them. “Forgive me for my mistake… if you need me, I’ll be in that cabin. Don’t worry… the owner hasn’t been home in years.” This adds a few more confusing looks from the crew; not wanting to stay for the myriad of possible questions, Mesdoram pushes by Brennia’s guards with a furious look placed on his face. Mesdoram reaches the door and completely rips this door off its hinges in a show of frustration and strength; tossing the broken entrance away from Brennia, the drow enters the building with the intention of clearing his head before coming back out… there might be a few more broken items in the future.

Aiset looks to Brennia with a simple question. “He seems… interesting… is that normal behavior for him?” Dhrada had already sat down to spin the rotisserie in order not to burn the meat.

Brennia can feel a shiver trickle down her spine when Sapphire's hand glides along her back, quite close to the base of her wings and finally rests on the lower part of her back. Her body doesn't react, but her wings subtly shiver for a second at the feel of his hand so close to her wings again. When they come across the clearing, she can tell the home has been long abandoned. "This looks like it was a cozy little home," she mentions before Mesdoram poses such an odd question. "Well, no?" She responds softly before noticing his fixed stare at the door. He sees something she cannot and gives him some space while watching him mill about the area as if he has been here before. Maybe he lived here before or maybe Hawkeye used to live here after Atropos passed?

It makes her heart ache for both of them that they might be reliving something so tragic. She flinches at the sudden force aimed at the door to the small cabin, but the two naga guards remain stoic respectfully and vigilant for any potential dangers being drawn by the ruckus. "Sapphire," she starts gently when he reamurges with chairs, but he seems to be on a mission. "Hey," she softly coos towards the drow while moving to his side and placing a hand on his shoulder, "it is okay. We will keep looking tomorrow," she looks at the naga brothers and then they look from her to each other at a loss of what to do or say, but they must do something because Brennia is looking at them expectantly. One nods while the other reassures, "she's right," but he is already moving on to prepare the dinner and pulling away from the avian.

"No," Brennia says with more resolve than her last couple of attempts at speaking to him. "I believe Livi is out there somewhere and I do not want to give up so soon," she doesn't care if the naga guards agree or not and they don't seem to care if they stay or go back home tomorrow. They tend to the fire and food with their backs to the cabin while Brennia stares at the mangled door as she considers something. There is a strong desire to go to him, reassure him and comfort him, but maybe he is the type that requires space? Well, time to find out. The question posed to her from Aiset is met with a solemn expression, "possibly, but it is a behavior I have witnessed." More like a behavior she has lived through. She picks up a couple pieces of bread and warms them over the fire before taking a chance on Mesdoram… taking a chance at showing him love.

Cautiously, Brennia walks up the steps to the cabin and traces her fingers along the door frame where the door was hanging just a moment ago. She carefully follows his steps within and softly announces herself, "Sapphire?" This is just in case he is still in a 'throwy' type mood. She finds him in a bedroom, sitting on the edge of the bed and she simply lingers in the doorway for a moment, leaning her head on it, "hey, handsome." Flirting may not lift his spirits right away and maybe it is a bit silly, but she doesn't want to leave him like this - at least not without trying to make him see she cares no matter what. She steps closer to him so they are facing each other, but he doesn't seem to care to look up at her. No worries, she lowers down on her knees before him and looks up at him. Her smile is soft and understanding as she asks, "would you like to share with me what this place means to you?"

Mesdoram | The drow had been so consumed with resentment he did not feel Brennia’s calming touch nor her soothing voice attempting to calm him before he entered the cabin. Mesdoram’s fury will be intense for a few more moments. Growing livid with Hawkeye for concealing important details, the drow speaks into the empty cabin. “You mean to tell me… this entire time!? This is how close you were!?” Mesdoram lashes out at Hawkeye again, thinking what possible perils Hawkeye has placed on his guards in … but putting a possible target on Brennia’s back sends Mesdoram over the edge. “You absolute idiot!” A chair has been launched into the adjacent wall by a powerful drow kick; disintegrating into splinters, Mesdoram finds the mirror hanging near the fireplace to have words with his silent partner. His tone is much lower, but nevertheless increasingly menacing and dripping with displeasure. “This is where she took you, huh? The big bad brave Hawkeye… this isn’t where you saw Livi last – this is where she took you after you chickened out and I had to kill that man for you... I know this, because this is where I took over our body permanently… because for some reason, my body remembers being here, but my mind has no memory of this place, and DID YOU EVER THINK SHE WOULD RETURN HERE!? WHAT IF SHE’S WATCHING NOW, YOU FOOL!?” As the tipping point of his frustration boils over, Mesdoram slams his right fist hard into the mirror; the glass does not shatter but is now cracked like a spiderweb mini mosaic as Mesdoram stares back into his ‘broken’ reflection… Hawkeye is not daring to make an appearance.

Before retreating into one of the bedrooms of this three bedroom-cabin, Mesdoram points a lone finger back at this mirror and makes his last remarks. “Hawkeye, if any harm comes to Brennia, I will kill you… mark my words, brother. Damned if that means I die too.” With Hawkeye still choosing to remain dormant, Mesdoram checks into the easternmost room where a queen bed dressed in blue sheets and blue drapes hang over the windows. Sitting at the edge of the bed, the drow begins contemplating what to do next… his rage has subsided and now is filled with worry: worried for his troops outside, for his angel Brennia, but least of all his own well-being… checking on his bruising hand, Mesdoram wiggles his hand that killed the mirror and seems to be pain free despite the darker spots appearing on his knuckles – this is when Brennia meets Mesdoram’s gaze as she kneels down to checking on the drow. He did not register her flirty comment to break the ice nor see her hanging along the door frame… but when her sweet smile comes into frame, his anger and concerns are extinguished. He finally looks up to her teal beauties so beaming with life and love staring back into his grumpy silvery orbs and offers her a smile of his own. No one has been able to settle down Mesdoram’s wrath so effortlessly; just her presence and voice replaces his miserable fifteen-years of hatred with such peacefulness… he truly has found someone special in Brennia.

“Hey my love…” Mesdoram offers Brennia a tender hand that grazes her right check ever so gingerly; his true feelings finally spoken directly to Brennia for the first time and with such conviction – these words unprompted and spoken sincerely from his heart, the only time Mesdoram has express the feeling of love to anyone… but in this moment of anguish and despair, his angel walks through those the cabin doors and fills his tiny body with so much comfort. If she would accept his loving embrace, he would pull Brennia into a warm hug before answering her question – the two keeping each other warm in a couple’s hold. “Yes… I do… this is where I was born.” Releasing their embrace, Mesdoram will invite Brennia to sit with him and explain what this place means to him. “Just like many creatures, few can recall the moment of being brought into this world: I am no different. But from my memories and interactions with… Nariv… this is either hers or Kerian’s place, her late husband…” Shaking his head in disbelief, Mesdoram continues with his explanation. “I just never knew how Hawkeye and Nariv first encountered one another but, seeing how close he was to her home… it makes sense now… she must have kept in this place for years… seeking and plotting revenge.”

“When I became into existence, my first memory is waking up on this floor with no one around me for miles… but I heard the cheers of a roaring and exciting competition just below the mountain side in the Hidden Mountaintop Coliseum.” There is no distraught or anger in his voice as he speaks to Brennia; he speaks calmly and freely throughout his retelling. “I think it was the echoing cheers that made me wake up… so I left the cabin and started walking down the mountain side… the opposite direction of the ledge where Livi saved Hawkeye… I just never realized how closely connected our stories really were… Livi was literally three hundred feet from me at one point!” The crescendo in his voice shows a bit of disappointment in not realizing this fact sooner, but nothing like the tone from earlier. “Either way, I made my way down the mountainside to get a better view of the battle commencing in the Coliseum… and wouldn’t you know it, our brother Vexar was battling and won his bout against his opponent, Shishi.” A sense of pride swells recalling Vexar’s victory… and turns to Brennia directly. “I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense… there is just a lot riding on finding Livi, and I am confused as to why Hawkeye would bring us here… and possibly put us in danger.”

Mesdoram chuckles a bit recalling the intense interaction moments ago. “I think Hawk is scared of me now… I threaten to kill him if something happens to you… he’s currently not talking to me.” He sighs heavily, thinking he’s going crazy. “I heard you expressing to Aiset and Dhrada and me we can stay here another night and keep the search going. I do not think ‘she’ will return, she also has a lot riding on the play and would not interfere with us up here…” Mesdoram will pull Brennia closer to him if she had accepted the invitation earlier… he would then say to her. “I believe we are secure here for the night…let us update the guards and invite them to a room of their own... I am fine with staying here so long as you feel safe, Brennia.” After speaking this tale and offering Bre and the guards a night inside, Mesdoram will lean into Brennia's body in a sweet embrace awaiting her thoughts.

Brennia didn't hear the internal argument Mesdoram was having with Hawkeye while warming up some bread, but now she can give him one as her hand takes a hand of his to place a warm bread roll within so he can eat a little something. Then she sees his other hand and the bruising taking place. She holds the injured hand with both of her own to raise it towards her lips for a gentle kiss to make it all better even though she knows it wont, but sometimes, just knowing that someone cares does make things better. She is happy to see his frustrations melt away by her just being here and she will never doubt her instinct to go to him ever again in moments like these. He will never find pity in her eyes for the things he is facing with Hawkeye, only understanding and love.

She loves the darker parts of him and can relate to the urge where you just want to scream at your hidden counterpart. Her cheeks turn a shade of pink along with the tips of her long tapered ears when he refers to her as his love, her stomach does backflips and her heartbeat sounds extra loud in her ears. She doesn't want to make a big deal about it because right now this is about him, but he will easily be able to see how much saying that means to Brennia simply by the look on her face. She turns her face into his touch and he can feel the warmth on her cheeks he caused. Brennia sits up on her knees to accept his embrace, fitting between his knees so their bodies are pressed together and her face nestles into his chest while listening to his explanation.

Then he is guiding her to sit with him and she bends to his will with ease. She leans into Mesdoram and lets her head rest on his shoulder just like when they were both stuck in that golden cage in their dream. Her wing curves around him and maybe he doesn't realize it yet, but that is a rare occurrence afforded to few from avians. It is an act of comfort or protection on an avian's part when they tuck others under their wings. Brennia remains quiet as he explains because she is listening closely and doesn’t wish to interrupt. When he chuckles, she sits up and looks at him as her soft smile returns, but it makes her consider something for a moment.

"Who knows, maybe there is more here than meets the eye?" When he pulls her into him, she scoots so their hips are touching and her arms wrap around his strong muscular shoulders hidden by his armor and robes. She then nestles her face into the space where his shoulder meets his neck and places a supple kiss there. "I always feel safe as long as I am with you, my love," she whispers to his ear after lifting her face from his neck. A thrilling feeling rolls through her body as she reciprocates his feelings for her.

Something dawns on her and she shifts in order to meet his gaze, watching the color of his eyes carefully, "you mentioned Hawkeye retreated out of fear of you and is declining to talk to you. Do you think he would feel safe talking with me?" The man did feel comfortable enough to share his greatest pain with her after all. With a hopeful expression and a kind smile prepared for Hawkeye, she waits to see if her prompt lures him out. Maybe some kindness and understanding is all he needs.

Mesdoram places down the piece of bread he happily accepted from Bre and soaks in the moment with her. Hearing she feels safe with him means the world to Mes; for a frightening creature forced to do many terrible things, he is thankful Brennia does not consider him the monster Nariv forces him to be. Finding additional comfort in the way her wings always shroud him, Mes relaxes fully into the snuggle… he does not yet know what these wings’ actions symbolize, but believes them a blessing on their budding relationship. He does perk up a bit with her suggestion about reaching Hawkeye. “Hmmm… I think he would much rather talk to you… let me see if he’s in…” With that said, Mesdoram politely untangles himself from Brennia to stand on the floor; he winks playfully to his angel before saying goodbye for now. “See you soon, Brennia.” Closing his eyes and tilting his head slightly downward, Mesdoram internalizes him talking with Hawk and offering him the chance to speak to a much calmer and more rational Brennia rather than the crazy drow brother. Mes’ face twitches to the right… and opens his eyes back up to Brennia.

Hawkeye | These are not Mesdoram’s silvery orbs, but a pair of bright blue eyes staring back at Brennia; a much more softer body language inhabits Mes’ body and Bre will immediately recognize Hawkeye’s mannerisms… the elven brother is much more grounded in controlling his emotions… but certainly has a bone to pick with Mesdoram the next time he sees the bratty drow. “Ungrateful little shi- … *clears throat* Forgive my deception, Brennia. I did not know if I could convince Mes to come here on my own… I –“ Hawkeye stops talking and controls Mesdoram’s hands to childishly flap his arms around… followed by a tiny jump in the air with an insult to his other half. “Good lord, Mes, how do you function in this tiny body.” It is then that Mesdoram’s right hand slaps himself across the face, both putting Hawkeye in his place for that unnecessary dig at his might stature and to focus up – time is not on their side. “Idiot... you realize that’s your face, right? Anyways…”

“Brennia, I will talk to while grumpy pants gathers himself.” Mesdoram doesn’t lash out at this dig from Hawkeye, but he isn’t ruling out stabbing himself to shut up Hawkeye’s rudeness. “Back to business… Mes says you would like to speak with me? Possibly about Livi and her whereabouts?” The casual brashness and the feign ineptness of Hawkeye might begin wearing thin on Brennia, but Hawk is still rather miffed at Mes for his earlier threats and the way he handled himself. “So… here’s the thing, I don’t really know where Livi is…” Hawkeye can feel Mesdoram’s start boiling and Brennia sees his eyes flash silver for a moment; quickly holding out his hands to Brennia and to Mesdoram, Hawkeye quickly explains himself. “Hold on now!! Don’t blow a gasket, man! I wouldn’t bring you here for nothing, Mes. Geeez man, relax man.” Brennia may have bit off more than she can chew with this one, but Mes somehow has faith she can get Hawkeye to spill the beans and talk willingly to Brennia. Either way, Mes lays dormant and patiently waits for Bre’s interrogation special.

Brennia stands as soon as she sees those familiar blues, approaching with kindness and caution, "hey stranger." Her smile widens, instantly seeing the difference between the two. "No, it is okay. I believe you know what you're doing. You sent me a message to be here for a reas-" but then he is arguing with their better half and getting struck. She tries to intervene, but of course is of no help strength wise to keep the drow from slapping himself. "Hey," she gently chides Hawkeye for calling Mesy names. "That would help, yes," she nods a couple times in agreement with staying focused. "You've been gone for a while, it would be impossible to know exactly where Livi is," she sympathizes with Hawkeye with understanding in her tone.

She extends a hand out to rest on Hawkeye's shoulder, "I know you wouldn't bring us out here for nothing, Hawkeye." Brennia tries her best to keep both of them calm with her voice and maybe the pair will be able to feel a subtle calm wash over them for it seems the bard has not completely lost her abilities like she thought. "I believe you. I am just wondering if you will share with me why you have brought us here. I feel like there is something we might be missing here, maybe a clue," her gaze locks to his own, attempting to coax out the truth. Both of her hands cup his cheeks to look far off into his eyes, "I just found Sapphire and I do not know what I would do without him."

Tears start to threaten her waterline as she searches his eyes deeply for the answers she needs. Her velvety timbre becomes a near whisper when she admits, "I love him and I know you do not wish to lose him either." After a couple of quiet seconds let the sentiments sink in, she gently clears her throat before placing a soft peck on the apple of his cheek just like she did in their dream. Then she continues, "so, please. What is the significance of this place?" It isn't the most epic or badass way to conduct an 'interrogation', but she has learned over her many years that honesty and honey catches more bees than empty threats and vinegar. If she guilts him into anything, it is simply by accident because she cannot help her emotions when the truth is so close to her heart.

Hawkeye listens attentively and watches Brennia’s expressive gestures when describing her love for Mes (who is still angry but allows Brennia to work her magic… those tears make him think Hawk’s rudeness has upset his angel). “Ah man… I’m so sorry Brennia.” Hawkeye speaks as he doesn’t feel guilty, but does have a pit in his throat while seeing her tears. As she leaned in to peck at his cheek, he gently wipes away the left side of her cheek. “Mes, I’m sorry too man. And thank you for understanding, Bre. I am just as frustrated as you all about Livi… I do not know if she is even alive in these mountains or has traveled elsewhere searching for me or if she even remembers me. But-” Hawkeye walks towards the closet and removes a false wall to reveal a hidden compartment; reaching a hand upwards, he slides a loose panel to his right and takes out the mysterious item to show to Bre and Mes.

Removing a piece of cloth that had been wrapped around the object, Hawkeye reveals his father’s magically infused ceramic cube – the one Hawkeye has shown to Brennia from their initial encounter in the golden cage. “-But I believe this will aid you in searching for Livi or just helping Mesdoram in general…” Hawk displays the device for Brennia as the engravings of the Quisto family name alone with his family lineage sketched with a fire pen; though many of these names are not familiar with Bre, she can see ‘Hawkeye’ and ‘Vexar’ on top of the cube. “Livi might be a folly dream at this point, my friends, but with this device, you could theoretically dive into Mesdoram’s mind to search through the past. My mind cannot be accessed simply because… it’s not my mind anymore.” With that explanation, Hawkeye kindly hands his father’s device to Brennia to hold. “But if Mesdoram has ever run across Livi in all his travels, he might be able to recall an event that would lead us to her. And Mes? I really appreciate you trying man…” It seems the two minds have made up as Mesdoram high fives himself. “Use this device, scan through all your travels, battles, and conversations, and Livi might be there. If she is alive, she may be drawn to your scent and mistake you for me. See if I have any left-over clothes in this house and bring them with you.”

With all that said, Hawkeye jumps atop of the bed to meet Brennia at eye level. “I’m sorry, but I’m used to being much taller.” In jest, Mesdoram kicks his own buttocks to silence Hawkeye’s playful retort. “Hey now – don’t make me kick our butt, Mes!” With that, Hawkeye pats Brennia’s shoulders and ‘winks’ with both of his eyes. “I, uh… Mes is much better at that than me. Let me get him for you.” With that said, Hawkeye closes his eyes and tilts his head downwards a bit… and Mesdoram returns to this realm.

Mesdoram | His rougher presentation returns to his face as he stares back at Brennia with his silvery orbs; his hands on Brennia’s shoulders immediately feels more loving than before as his right hand slowly travels the side of her neck and dries the other side of her face in a caring manner. Finding himself face to face with his angel again forces the Mesdoram to smile brightly. “There you are…” He whispers to her as he places an affectionate kiss on her forehead, then wraps her in his arms from this new vantage point and whispers lovingly. “You’re not going to lose me.”

As they loosen their hold of one another, Mes lowers his left hand down Brennia’s arm searching for her hand. As his left hand searches for Bre, Mesdoram’s right hand holds Hawkeye’s heirloom and sees why they are here. “This device will help us greatly. It can also act as a map or a recorder of thoughts, plus can produce some beautiful images.” A sudden realization hits him as well. “I should be able to see my memories of being in the Frostmaw mountains and see if Livi was around during my awakening. We will be able to see everywhere I’ve been without having to physically be there… this will save us much more time than traversing the entire world.” Mesdoram’s personality has certainly brightened as he explains this breakthrough to Brennia. “We can relax for the time being, Bre. We can breathe much easier in our search. I think…” Mes has a pause as he stares happily into Brennia’s eyes… a very peaceful wave flows over his body; he can barely contain his excitement for this discovery. “Bre, this is fantastic news. Let’s get everyone in the cabin for the night and celebrate properly. Your guards have worked very hard this evening – let them fill their bellies with drink and head home in the morning.” Brennia has never seen this jubilation expressed from Mesdoram; he is over the moon with the discovery of Hawkeye’s device.

Brennia carefully watches Hawkeye's movements and listens. When the box is presented, there is a familiarity about it at first she cannot place. "Really?" There is astonishment on her expression when he explains what this device is for. It reminds her a little of the crystal memory recorder which a tinkermage made for her once for recording music, plays, or concerts. She carefully accepts the device and the feel of it rushes a memory of when she held it in that cage. Her eyes widen slightly because after she had woken from that dream it was simply a thing made up in the dream realm. Her gaze is stolen by the adorable way he gives himself and she takes that gesture as a sign that the two made up in a way. She is glad to have been of some assistance. She knows that Hawkeye is speaking more to Mesdoram now, but she takes a mental note of his instructions and nods with a, "will do, Hawkeye."

When he jumps up on the bed, she turns to face him and still has to look up ever so slightly. His joke is met with a playful scowl, but his attempt at winking makes her giggle softly. It reminds her that before Mesdoram and her formally (or informally) met, he winked her way at the tournament Reginae competed in. "He sure is," she agrees about Mesdoram's ability to wink in a casual and cool way. She tilts her head ever so slightly to give his hand more room on her neck, enjoying the sensation. "Here I am," she replies in kind at a whisper before she is pulled into a loving embrace. She slips her arms around his waist as her wings curve around them as well. "Good," she whispers to his mention of not dying into the soft part of his neck after nestling her head there.

The avian cannot help the smile on her lips after they untangle from each other, being so grateful she was able to help the two of them work this out. What would he ever do without her? She stares right back as she also feels this peace resonate between them, "marry me."
