Summary: Khitti allows herself to be taken over by Amarrah in order to eliminate and order of Olric's warriors.

Desolate Pass

Khitti was on her way back from House Dragana, a quiver of arrows and bow fixed to her back. Amongst her unhinged anger that she had taken out on Pilar and subsequent fleeing of the house to the inn in Cenril, she had forgotten a few things. A black satchel also lies draped across her body, the strap long enough to allow the bag itself to rest on her right hip. Hood pulled up as always, hiding that blood red hair of hers from sight, the dark ranger makes her way through the pass, booted feet carrying her swiftly back to the elder vampire that awaited her in the large port town.

Revan :: As Khitti progressed, the same eerie aura that always possessed this pass lingers thick in the air, the sound of the wind pressing through cracked rocks resembling that of faint screams and every so often she would swear to hear footsteps following her and even spotted a few rocks falling from the cliff faces but before further investigation can be had, the stalkers reveal themselves. Camouflaging sheets drop from the faces of the rocks revealing eight well armed individuals propelling down on either side of Khitti until they form a full circle around her. Four of them armed with large 'X' shaped crossbows loaded with bolts enchanted by lightning and fire elements, three with long pole arms emitting sparks from either end as the leader of the group standing directly ahead of her with a strong composite bow drawn back accompanied by a platinum tipped arrow aimed at her heart. The task force us dressed in heavy mithril and steel armors except for the leader who has taken a leather bound get up, though all of them have the emblem of Olric the just embedded on their pauldrons. "Stand down! We will not hesitate to execute you here and now, animal!" the leader barks with a voice almost daring the vampire to make a move, his hand ready to release the arrow at any moment. "Drop the bow, put your hands behind your back and do not move until I give further instruction!"

Khitti stopped dead in her tracks as she ultimately became surrounded. She really needed to work on her sense of smell again; she had been slacking, of course, in the studies Daermon had given her. "A-animal...?" Who the hell were these people? Were they from Dhavislavv or hired by the chancellor? Here? Why now after all this time? Dark eyes stare across in front of her towards the leader, listening to his commands, worry creeping into her heart. No. Not Dhavislavvians. The emblem is spied, crimson brows furrowing as she recognizes it from a book in Larewen's library. "Vhat...is zhe meaning of zhis? I have done nothing.", her words shakey, due to her confusion and slight amount of fear. Her bow isn't removed just yet, not taking the chance that they might shoot her should she reach for it. Slender, pale hands are raised in surrender, a frown forming on equally pallid lips.

Revan :: Khitti's failure to comply is met with anger from the leader who grits his teeth and furrows his brow before shouting a command, "Subdue her!" The reaction of the operative to her eight o'clock is to quick to counter, the pole arm is brought in a sweeping motion to the back of the vampire's legs knocking her off of her feet to her back with a thud and of course a ton of voltage shocking her on the way down. Once she's on the ground the operative kicks his boot against her vulnerable body forcing her onto her stomach where he would then use a knife to cut the bow string and toss the weapon off to the side before jerking her hands behind her back and bounding them there with a sturdy pair of hand cuffs. As this is taking place the leader can be seen lowering his bow while he pulls out a small summoning stone and holds it in the palm of his hand, a hologram of another person spawning there. "Sir, we've captured another one, female. Not an elder." The hologram is of a man in thick steel armor with spiked pauldrons and gauntlets that nods in acknowledgement of his agents words, "Excellent work, six. Bring her back to the Shrine to face Paladin Glaz and get your men out of there. We have suspicions that the operation has been found.", "Copy that, sir." The hologram fades as they pull Khitti up from the ground and surround her holding on tightly to the cuffs. "You heard the man, it's time to pack it up. Move quickly and keep it low." The men all secure their equipment tightly before moving back towards Kelay while pushing Khitti along with them, any effort to escape resulting in a swift, firm beating.

Khitti 's eyes grew wide like a deer in headlights as the next command is uttered, but clearly not to her. "Vha-" An attempt to protest is made, but is done so in vain as her feet leaves the ground, screams filling the air as the lightning magic is sent coursing through her lithe form with no form of spell or enchantment on the female to deflect such things, and a soft cry made as her back, and soon after, her head hit the ground. Definitely unconscious now, there's no fight whatsoever as she's taken back to their shrine.

Shrine

Revan :: Entering the large Shrine with Khitti in tow the task force take in the sight of their brothers and sisters hard at work liberating the world from darkness. Standing by the marble alter is man with the spiked armor and another by his side, a paladin with a bald head and tribal tattoo painted across the left side of his face. Other operatives litter the room and a small cage containing no less than ten vampire's of varying ages and races has cries of pain erupting from it. On the alter, a freshly decapitated head is stuck on a small sword with it's mouth agape revealing those familiar fangs, the Paladin speaks; "Brothers and Sisters of Olric's litter! We have just extinguished another blight and in turn brought out world a bit closer to the bright light we so rightfully deserve! These blood sucking monsters have to often fed upon the living to fulfill their sick and twisted cravings! But let not Olric's light be doubted! Not all of these fanged fiends follow a path of darkness, no! For Olric's light can reach even the darkest places! Illuminate the most twisted of minds! Bring forth the next monster so that his very soul may be judged!" The vampires hiss and spit as the spiked man moves to their cage and picks out the only child in the cage, no older than seven before he was turned and moves to set him on the alter. The Paladin examining the boy as he displays his bloodied fangs to him, eyes darker than night when the holy man's hand touches onto his chest a bright light emitting that causes the child to shriek in pain as the light begins to consume him. This goes on for three or four minutes before the paladin finds what he is looking for and turns to the crowd again as the panting child lay stricken to the altar. "This child does not have the light of Olric within him and he rejects this glorious gift! No, this child is a servant of Vakmathras and his dark deeds! Well, I say we give the child what he wants! A quick trip to meet his death god! A trip to show him the regret of his ways!" The crowd of operatives erupts into applause including those that escorted Khitti here. "But let us not deny our demonic friends a chance at redemption! For what if the light shines bright in their souls, are we right to deny them a just sacrifice?" The paladin's eyes snap to Khitti in her binds and he commands her captors to release her while the spiked man descends to her side, his hand reaching out to take hold of her arm and escort her to the paladin. As they move a raven colored bird is spotted now resting on top of the cage containing the vampires, his call heard even over their desperate cries. As Khitti stands before the paladin he stares into her eyes and speaks in a near whisper, "Tell me, fire headed fiend, what do you think of your curse? Do you feel empowered by the damnation you have been granted?"

Khitti had more or less come to her senses along the way to the shrine. With the possibility of a concussion imminent, her head was like a swirling vortex on the inside. The shouts of Amarrah to snap out of it from within is drowned out by the loud cheering and yelling from the followers of Olric. She gives a few brief shakes of her head, the cries of pain an all too familiar reminder of her past. Bits of her memory mix in with the present. Her own screams of terror and agony flash in her mind, the smell of blood reminding her of the blood stained cell in which she was kept and experimented on. Amarrah still continues to try to get through to her as she's taken to meet with the paladin. Finally ridding herself of her daze for the time being, she's able to focus on the man, verdant hues taking him in as he speaks to her, "Curse?..." The other vampires hadn't been seen on the way in. Surely he meant her necromancy? "No...I didn't ask for zhis. Ve..didn't ask for it." Fear surfacing once more, her panicked line of sight darts around the room, taking in all the horrors that they had wrought upon the vampires, "No...not again. Please...don't. I-I can't go zhrough it again. I won't." The other fanged creatures as eyed, crimson brows furrowing together, "No...zhis zhing I am now...it vas to help me. Zhe mind flayer..." Her thoughts were erratic, the shrine itself overwhelming for the female.

Revan sits at the far corner of the shrine, the undead man hidden in plain sight as he witnesses the beginning of Khitti's downfall, his finger tips rubbing at the heart shaped amulet around his neck as his form slowly shifted to replicate one of Olric's followers. Meanwhile, that Raven of his slowly moved down the side of the cage and began picking at the lock with it's beak, going unnoticed by the rest of the crowd. The Paladin stares at Khitti for a moment as she struggles to piece together what was happening and it would seem he gives her the benefit of the doubt, "My child, none of you asked for this. You seem to have a basic understanding your siblings here lack, that this... this disease is no good for you. Hmm..." Reaching down to his belt he unholsters the long, razor sharp scimitar resting there and holds it out to Khitti. "This child suffers greatly because of his disease, it has turned him into a monster a faux avatar of the death god who brings nothing but pain and suffering into our world. Prove to me that you are just, show me that Olric's light touches you. Eradicate the darkness that tortures this child and set his soul free for judgment from the gods! Stop his suffering! Prove to us that you are not the monster they say you are!" He's shouting ceasing as he comes to a close and continues to eye Khitti with great caution before whispering his final command, "Follow these holy orders and you shall walk free from this shrine. The mark of Olric bestowed upon your soul for all to know, you are a warrior of the light." The child stares to Khitti with hate in his eyes, the boiling anger in his face a clear statement that if he could, he would kill her then and there but despite the light disabling him the child manages to spit out one word in the woman's direction, "Traitor..."

Khitti 's bottom lip trembles as she's handed the scimitar, the blade taken easily in her right hand. No,it was happening again. Memories flash again as she turns to face the child, his words unheard. All that was seen was her twin Lydia. Her sister's crudely stitched together, yet reanimated corpse lay there where the vampire child was, teeth gnashing, wanting to sink deep into her flesh and rend it from her bones. -Amarrah...help me.- ~What would The Dark One do?~ -Daer...Daer's not here, Amarrah.- ~You know he wouldn't let this happen. They're your kind now regardless of the reason you turned yourself.~ "My...kind?" The vampiress says this aloud to herself, a shake of her blood red tresses given again to shake the memories free from their hold on her mind, "No." She pauses, her words taking on a more stern tone, "No. I von't let you do zhis to me again. You're no different from zhe necromancers." -You...you're going to have to help me. I'll let you take zhe reins. Just zhis once.- Khitti pivots on her heels to face the paladin, dark eyes narrowed and quite angry. Sword still in hand, her left reaches out towards the male. Beneath the sleeve of her duster, a dark magic grew within the forearm of her left hand. Revan would likely be able to feel it, and would soon see it as decrepit purple veins began to edge their way down her arm onto her hand and back up in the other direction up her neck, slowly taking over the left side of her body. Her left eye flickers with purple swirls as Khitti stares at the paladin, "I vill do nothing of zhe sort." Wispy violet tendril drift out of the fingertips of her outstretched hand, keen on finding it's way towards the male and dig so very deep into the flesh of his throat.

Revan remains seated with a smile slowly filling his lips, "Interesting..." The paladin growls as Khitti turns on him before shouting out to his men, "Kill them al~" but his words are cut short as the tendrils pierce into his throat leaving him to choke on his own blood as the man in the spiked armor lunges himself towards Khitti in an attempt to tackle her to the ground. Meanwhile, the raven has successfully picked the lock to the cage and as the door creaks open all hell suddenly breaks loose in the shrine. The vampire's pour out and begin attacking Olric's followers while the operatives begin fighting back. Six, the leader of the task force that captured Khitti begins shouting out orders to his men while fighting off the small horde though he would be cut short as Revan jabs a short sword through his gut, "Good night, little light." he cackles before moving onto the next one. The entire scene plays out in a very brutal fashion, an orc vampire is literally pulling the throat out of one of the lightning staffed agents while another of Olric's followers has pinned a human vampire to the wall with his cross bow bolts while his comrade brings a heavy warhammer against the wall splattering the beasts skull fragments and brain matter across the room. "For Olric!" They cry during their holy battle, the odds even across the field... for now.

Khitti 's necromantic vines sink deep into the paladin's neck, the spurting blood from the incisions made passing right through the smokey tendrils. Like the strings on a marionette, she pulls him towards her carefully, reeling him in as the vines themselves cling to his larynx, threatening to entirely crush his throat. The sword is discarded as Amarrah fully takes over the vampiress' lithe form, the plague-like veins spreading over her entire body now. Whether he struggled or not, she'd attempt to bring him close enough as a strangely shaped ball of acidic ooze the size of a softball is summoned up, the sickening smell of the necrotic magic filling the air of the shrine. Dark eyes remain ever fixated him as the ball is raised to sit parallel to the paladin's head, "Did I mention...to you...zhat I killed zhat mind flayer zhat I spoke of?" There was no sort of mercy whatsoever in the vampiress' eyes, just as there wasn't for the mind flayer not so long ago.

Khitti is indeed tackled, however, in the midst of her gloating. The acidic ball drops and hits the floor, sizzling and burning away at the material that it's made of. With a snarl as she's falling to the ground, she's got enough of her wits to give a sharp jerk of her left hand, pulling at the paladin's throat, attempting to completely rip out the muscles the vines had become attached to.

Revan :: As Khitti falls she succeeds in completely removing Paladin Glaz's throat, sending him to the ground with a hard thud to gurgle on his own blood as life slowly faded away. The spiked man on the other hand now had her beneath him and wasted no time throwing a punch towards her face hoping to pierce the skin with his razor sharp gauntlets. In the back, the numbers are thinning on both sides as Revan and his minions continue the assault on the holy warriors. Out of the ten imprisoned vampires, only four were left standing while the holy ones counted seven though that number was quickly dropped to six when Revan brought his knife across a wounded warrior's throat just before catching sight of the heavy man on Khitti. A sharp whistle from his cracked lips sends his raven on a fast approach to maul the man's face with it's talons and gouge his eyes with it's beak, distracting him from the punch towards Khitti as he tries to swipe the Avian away.

Khitti bares her fangs and hisses at the male atop her, struggling to get free, her own body much smaller and lighter compared to the one above her. Despite being a vampire, she was still so newly made, her full potential as one of the undead not fully taken advantage of yet. That whistle doesn't go unheard though, dark eyes shifting into the direction of where it had come from, but she doesn't let it distract her long. As the spiked man's face is taken out by the raven, another ball of ooze is summoned up, the veins along her body pulsing with anger as it's smashed into the side of his head. It's not a quick smash and go either. The vampiress doesn't let up on the ooze, pressing it deep against the man's head as the smell of melting and burning flesh fills the air, intent on making sure he's dead before she attempts to get out from underneath of him.

Revan :: The man on top of Khitti screams in pain as the ball begins to melt into the side of his head but he is not yet hopeless, thrusting his hand forward he grabs hold of her throat where holy magic begins to pour out into her body performing a similar ritual that Paladin Glaz had on the small boy though his is cut short when Khitti's ball finally pierces his skull and cooks his brain causing him to topple over onto his side. The sight of all three commanding officers deceased causes the remaining six holy warriors to fall back in a full retreat, the vampire's look to Revan for instruction and a wave of his hand signals them to give chase. The room has cleared now though it is littered with bodies and bile, the stench of death strong in the air and the burning sensation of all the magics causing great discomfort. The raven flies over to Revan and perches atop of his shoulder, a moment of silence before the hooded man begins his approach to Khitti. Standing over her it seems as though he plans to help her to her feet but when his hand exposes itself from beneath the robe sleeve it is found to be holding a single red rose that is quickly dropped onto her chest. The undead man's lips part to reveal broken yellow and brown teeth as he reaches up to remove his hood, the cloth falling to reveal a perfect mirror-image of Khitti hidden beneath, speaking in her voice, "You're a monster." No sooner than the words leave the creature's mouth, his body begins to fade away and with it all of the corpses, cage and any evidence of the event ever taking place - except for the single. red. rose.

Revan gave 1 red rose to Khitti.

Khitti after having pushed the man off of her and laid there for a moment, she stared up at the mirror image of herself. With wide eyes, the red rose is peered at and though the words of the illusionist were heard, he's completely gone before she can look up again and ask him what in the hell was going on. The rose is picked up finally and the vampiress pushes herself off the ground. A...monster? Oh...if only that being knew just how much of a monster she truly was. With concern written all over her pale features, she takes off out of the shrine, Amarrah's reign receding and leaving nothing more than a weakened vampiress to find her belongings and return to the inn in Cenril to dwell on what exactly just happened.
