Summary: Kailani checks in with Emilia after learning that she is no longer missing.

Abandoned Archery Range, Kelay

Emilia sat in the middle of the small garden outside of the Academy with her legs crossed on the lush green grass. She was easy to spot as the only stark white thing within a world of green and browns. The long locks of dreads had been recently brushed out leaving her with wild curls of white surrounding the petite woman, almost more than genasi some would say. Today the woman opted out of her normal attire and sported a pair of cut off beige shorts that came mid-thigh with a fitted deep blue tank top with thin straps. With the exposed flesh the newest scar from her capture was rather visible, three purplish-blue circles, the center one large than the ones to either side, evenly spaced just below her collar bone on her right shoulder. In her lap rested a book that she was currently reading while enjoying the peace of the garden.

Even if Emilia was not so noticeable against the earth tones of the garden, the chances are high that the druid would have known of her presence. The gardens would have told her. They could probably tell her many secrets of those that travel through it, but the druid does not usually choose to ask. Emilia being as noticeable as she is makes it far less awkward when the blue-haired woman makes a beeline for the guild leader. Kailani is dressed in her usual manner, seeing no reason to abandon her armor or her weaponry even though she expects this visit to be uneventful. Despite being aware that Emilia was kidnapped, Kailani remains as stoic as ever during this encounter with the icy healer. Emilia is not greeted with a smile upon approach, but a polite nod. It is obvious that Kailani is assessing Emilia's current state to determine if she was well, yet she does not outright ask. Emilia is the leader of the Healer's Guild, Kailani will not offend by inquiring if she has been properly tended to. "Emilia. It seems luck and fortune are on your side. I am glad to see that you have not met your fate." Not everyone who is kidnapped survives, Kailani means.

Emilia startled at the arrival of Kailani, even though she was expecting her arrival after sending word her way that she was not longer classified as missing. There was a moment where the blue eyes went wide before with no warning the very ground before the small woman shot up to form a defensive wall between the pair of females. The only problem was the ground moved at an angle toward the winter woman. The small sound of a thud, ground against a frozen forehead, was followed by the grumbling frustrations of the wintery lady, “Why do you keep doing that?” a sigh with, “Go back down?” Clearly she was talking to the sudden burst of defense of uncontrolled magic. No avail to undo what she had done Emilia simply stood up to step out from behind it with an apologetic look on her features, “Sorry about that. Can’t seem to figure out why that keeps happening…” Shaking her head, sending flying curls into her face the Genasi nodded to the former statement, “I nearly died the time before this kidnapping. I am running out of my nine lives at this rate. I don’t know if I call that luck or fortune, but I will take it. How are you?” Standing she looked almost smaller than before with less weight on her already stick-figure. Beyond a series of new scars of purple-blue and some minor ones already faded silver just dark circles forming beneath her eyes marked her current outwardly physical state. 1111

Kailani's remains unperturbed by Emilia's reaction, not even flinching as the earth forms a defensive wall between them. The druid lifts a brow ever so slightly as Emilia seems to struggle to will the earth back into place. Needless to say, given that the blue-haired woman is well versed with the elemental, the druid has no issue flattening the earth once more. It should be noted that the vegetation of the garden have been displaced as a result of the magics of both women. There is only so much that Kailani can put back into place. "I would speculate that it is happening because you are willing it to happen. We all have a fight or flight instinct, yours is clearly still running high. It is a subconscious reaction. It will take time." Kailani herself was not a tall woman, so she has never spent much time thinking of Emilia's stature prior to this moment. As the druid hunkers down into a seated position on the earth, Emilia's weight loss is taken in but not commented on. Kailani might be a hermit, but she's not socially awkward enough to comment on Emilia's current frailness. "How I am is entirely irrelevant. We spent much time trying to search for you. Your letter leaves much to be desired in the way of answers. You were kidnapped. Do you know why? You are free now. Should we worry about your kidnapper wanting to reclaim you?"

Emilia gave Kail a perplexed looked when she suggested that the healer had willed the ground to sprout up to defend her. Rubbing her forehead where the earth smucked her in the forehead the Genasi gave a soft laugh, “Me? Will the element of earth? I am a monster of ice… the world around us…” Only recently had the woman found moments where the element answered to her without knowing it. To that, it was only after she got a second heart that small things started to respond without control, and it was only getting worse. Retaking a seat next to the woman Emilia rested her hands in her lap, twiddling her thumb over her icy stump. “How you are is always relevant too. I ran into a man that appeared upset at the beach in Cenril. He tried to introduce himself to me as Irenic, but I called him out on that. Irenic is my best friend and clearly that man wasn’t Irenic. The next thing I remember is not being able to breath and the world going black. I woke up dressed in the worst frilly doll dress you can ever imagine and was being gifted to the actual Irenic who was being held captive as the Queen’s Champion in her arena. Perhaps, it was bad timing that got me taken. Either way, I cannot say if she will come after me. Something seems mentally off in that woman. Or if that lunatic guard will be coming after me either. I cannot predict either way. So, there is a chance the answer is yes and a chance the answer is no. In light of the situation I believe that here shortly I will be finding new residence in Venturil, far from this area for a time.”

Kailani shakes her head to Emilia as the other healer seems very perplexed over her ability to manipulate the earth. In many ways, the druid is not surprised with the confusion yet going on some drawn out tangent about elemental magic seemed really out of place in this moment. The answer that Emilia gets may be very vague as far as the other healer is concerned, yet Kailani feels it is quite accurate. Hermit logic. "It's all the same energy." Kailani's facade displays some amount of emotion and it comes in the form of a frown. The frown lingers for the duration of Emilia's story and at the end the blue-haired woman shakes her head in confusion. It's not that Emilia's story was unclear, no, Kailani understood it perfectly. What was confusing was the logic of her kidnapper, but then again not everyone is mentally sound, Kailani concludes. "It sounds like it would be safer to assume that your captor may want to reclaim you and Irenic. With that in mind, I think it would be wiser to assume that...regardless of where you move..? You should prepare for unwanted visitors. If you settle on somewhere remote in Venturil, you will have to let me know. I can help you with this." One would hope that someone who prefers to live in the wild and off the land has learned something about traps and early warning systems. Not every animal she encounters is a friend and a handful of them are too intelligent to even be charmed by the druid.

Emilia contemplated the simple answer that it was all the same energy, making a mental note to revisit that thought later. She listened to the druid’s advice about preparing for unwanted visitors in whichever location she chooses to move to. The leader gave an agreeing nod, “You are wise with that answer to prepare for unwanted people. I will indeed let you know where we choose to move and gladly accept whatever assistance you are willing to provide in home defense. If it keeps me and the triplets safe I will happily be willing. I cannot say that I fancy being cut open just for the sake of curiosity and would never wish that fate on another, especially those who can still feel generally everything that goes on.” There was a moment of fear that flashed in those blue eyes when she mentioned being cut open, presumably awake during. Blinking it away she flashed a partial smile, “I do owe you many thanks for all that you did to help find me and I hear in keeping the boys alive too. Is there anything I can do for you in return?”

Kailani responds with a stern nod when Emilia concedes to inviting Kailani over for the purposes of setting up defenses around whatever space she claims as her own. That stern expression fades into one of confusion when Emilia inquires if there is anything that she can do for Kailani. There is another shake of her head before the druid relaxes enough to finally let a smile creep across her expression. "I am afraid there is nothing that I need or want from you, no. My assistance was offered purely because it was the right thing to do." The druid shrugs as she pushes herself up off of the ground and back to a standing position. Emilia might notice that the grass that was strewn up by the earthen wall created by the ice genasi has begun to regrow, only just slightly. It's highly probable that the druid had something to do with it increased rate of regrowth. "A simple remembrance would be enough. Who knows, maybe I will be in need of rescuing some day." One can only hope not for it could be a long time before anyone notices that the hermit has gone missing. "When you are ready, I will visit you in Venturil. I prefer those lands anyway." Unsurprising that the druid would prefer that which is still predominantly untamed.

Emilia nodded, “I shall never forget one of my own. In the future if something comes about that you need just let me know and I shall see what I can do for you.” Em slowly rose as well if only because she wasn’t sure if she was supposed to sit or stand at the moment. “I shall send letter to you as soon as I know where I will be residing. Until then you will be able to find me here at the Academy. Thanks again.” She smiled and offered her frozen hand out for a departing shake, assuming the druid was making way to leave.

Kailani accepts said hand and gives it a firm shake, any lingering chill does not seem to bother Kailani in the slightest. Not like it would your average human at least. Perhaps it has something to do with her being a druid. "We will be seeing each other soon." Kailani is more than eager to make her way out of Cenril. Being in this city always puts the druid a little bit on edge, but she does give pause in her rush to leave, "...And if you would ever like to further discuss that energy...?" Kailani makes a vague motion to the area with the defensive earth wall was, "That would be best explored outside of the city walls. If you do not mind." Mostly because they don't need Emilia accidentally bringing down a building as a result of experimentation. With a final smile to Emilia, Kailani exists the garden...and then Cenril all together.
