RP:May The Power Of The Gods Compel You To Hopefully Not Die

From HollowWiki

This is a Healer's Guild RP.

Summary: In the aftermath of the Dyraxdiin vs. Jaxson duel, Jaxson needs a bit of healing to be able to even make it out of the lava pit everyone's in and Khitti decides to help out.

Lava Flow, Beneath Cenril

Dyraxdiin glances around at the audience, his vision still rather blurry, stance quite unsteady. Is the ground moving, or is he swaying? The great wyrm shakes his head, as if to cast off whatever ails him now. His gaze falls down upon his opponent, Jaxson. The mage fought exceedingly well, and ought to be recognized for his skill... Perhaps later. For now, it was time to truly finish the fight. Dyraxdiin takes a few careful steps forward, looking down upon the collapsed form of the human. "I'm afraid I won't be able to strike you again. You'll likely die and for the lands to lose a man of your skill... it would be a shame. No, you still have a long life to lead." Dyraxdiin turns and, carefully - ever so carefully - climbs his way back out from this sweltering HELL HOLE.

Loravelle wonders if she's just witnessed another death in this tournament. That hanfu-wearing man in a tar pit, and this spell-slinger in a lava pit...? Someone remind her to never visit pits of unusual liquids.

Leoxander is not it.

Jaxson has very much over extended his own abilities in his attempt to beat the great dragon. His magic taxed beyond the limits he has ever gone, and his body paying the price now as he starts to fully lose consciousness. He had given it his all, for sure, but it wasn't enough in this gods forsaken place.

Valrae was still seriously considering throwing herself into the lava pit to make sure Jaxson was still breathing. She manages a strangled laugh at Khitti’s joke. “I don’t think all of the undead are as cute as Kanna though,” She tries for her own joke, but it was half hearted. The witch could feel Learlynn’s eyes on her but didn’t turn. There was no physical indication that Valrae had been resurrected, though Gev had once told her that her aura gave her away. Her shoulders visibly relax when the dragon moves away from Jaxson, her hand moving to push her hair back from her face as she sighed. She looks toward Ina and she frowns, “I wouldn’t trust it.”

Khitti crossed her arms and eyed Jaxson, taking a few steps away from Valrae and closer to the man she'd accompanied to the gala. "One blink for healing. Two blinks for leave me alone, I'll be fine, even if I'm not really fine because every organ in my body is bruised right now."

Mahri let's out a held breath, finds her flask from somewhere, and takes a really long drink before getting up and shuffling off to somewhere cooler. Not Frostmaw. That place can melt.

Arlyeon shrugs a bit, producing a curious vial from her sleeve- that looks like grease floating in a solution of olive oil, and liberally sprinkled with charcoal. Which, does in fact comprise -some- of it's ingredients. "Hey, I take pride 'n my work. Also- yer bois guts r' probably boilin' right now. Ja might wanna do something about him being' overcooked." Given Val seems less likely to accept it, Ina hucks it off towards Khitti instead, "Iffun ya can open a tab fer Trish' Treasures at yer place- I heard tha' grub was good, n' I could always use a business tab." Whether or not they choose to use the -diabolically- foul tasting potion of fire/heat resistance is up to them. Ina's bit of charity, and also associative advertising, has since come to an end, and she's got to leave while the leavings good. Mind you, the leaving is always good when you're made bank off bets.

Leoxander finished off that ice cream sandwich while Loravelle weighed her life’s decisions, tailing the rogue to these battles. He stood up crumpling the parchment wrapper in right hand with a remark toward Khitti. “Well somebody better scrape him up.”

Jaxson manages to look at an imposing figure standing over him, and even though their words come through like someone trying to talk through water but he manages the one required blink for "Yup. I need help", though truly he can do little else. The trident? It seems to evaporate into a pool of water and disappear.... odd thing that is.

Shishi can't say he's disappointed. He's kind of all about punching dragons. Leralynn's left hand ice cream sandwich melts onto her lap, snapping her out of her one way staring contest with Valrae. If the priestess of Vakmatharas could see that Aura of the Returned on the witch, maybe this Necromantic prodigy can too. If she can, the staring is the only real indication that she can sense anything off about Valrae Baines.

Loravelle plays her breathing and counting game to come to her senses and stands a moment or so after Leoxander does. She hasn't a clue where they're going next, but she'll follow his lead. Hopefully it's out of this hell hole.

Leoxander tossed the wrapper in the general direction of the lava flooded arena, looking toward Loravelle when she stood. “Dinner?” He was hungry again. A rare show of appetite over a thirst for rum. Only problem would be finding a place other than a field of moltan crap to settle into.

Khitti let out a 'hm' at Trish's offer, then shrugged, took the flask, and nodded. "You got a deal. Plenty there for you now too, if Shishi's daughter doesn't get to it first. You might have to fight her for it." Returning her attention to Jaxson, got close enough to him to shadowstep him the heck away from the lava and dropped him on the ground at Valrae's feet. "Okay. So, step one, drink this. Dunno what's in it, but you'll be fine. If it poisons you, my daughter's an expert on poison, so I'll just take you to Vailkrin." Oh yeah. This'll be good. She propped open his mouth to let Ina's potion slide right on down in and kinda shook him a little to make sure it was in him. "Step two, will all undead please exit the arena or be prepared to be fried like a shrimp at a weekend barbeque." Khitti would give them a few moments to move away before she moved her hands to let them hover above Jaxson. From somewhere up above ground, star-like lights began to slowly filter their way into the cavern and danced around Jaxson’s nearly-dead form. “May the power of Cyris, Delisha, and Vakmatharas compel you to stop being a baby and dying so you can be useful to my friend Valrae again!” Once she’d finished speaking, the stars exploded, a rush of holy energy sweeping through the area and Jaxson as well. He might still be a little sore after it, but he’d be far from dying. “You did good, kid,” she said finally, smacking him on the shoulder. Khitti should probably get Penelope to help her with her bedside manner.

Loravelle blinks. Dinner instead of alcohol? She could eat more. “Sure,” she replies. But where? Surely not her family's place again.

Leoxander cast a glance in Jaxson’s direction as ‘Red’ and the witch went to his aid. He’d had high hopes for the nobleman. Five grand of gold worth. But that didn’t mean the cenril officiant was out of his radar, nor the blond woman at his arm the night before. And Khitti? Well, she didn’t likely have a chance of catching him off guard again, because the pirate would be paying more attention to her now. His answer to Lora as he reached for her hand. “Fugiveyeno.” If you understood that word, you’re trying too hard.

Valrae looks back to find Leralynn’s eyes for only a second, offering a pained smile before deciding with the exit of the dragon that it’s safe enough to enter the area. It was likely enough that she could see the truth of Valrae’s new life in her aura, but if she did there would be little time for the witch to answer any questions. But Khitti worked fast, and soon enough Jaxson was at her feet. Well, she could save her shoes. That seemed to be the only silver lining of the night. She kneels next to him, stopping herself from reaching out so that she doesn’t interfere with any of Khitti’s work. The witch watches as she feeds him the potion, wincing as she mentions Vailkrin. Hopefully, they could avoid all of that. Val wonders idly if she should move away, she was -technically- undead, but she decided it was worth the gamble. She watches, a little awe struck, as the redhead calls light around Jaxson. And then she laughs, because Khitti was well.. Being classic Khitti right now. It was working wonders to soothe her frayed nerves. She winces a little as she smacks his shoulder. “Note to self: Don’t ask Khitti for a heal.” She smiles up at her though, her tone teasing.

Valrae || With little movement coming from Jaxson, even after the healing Khitti and the potion offered, Valrae’s frown returned. “I think he needs rest.” She says to no one in particular. She looks up at Khitti again, worry painted on the lines of her face. “I’m going to get him home. Or to more healers. I don’t know.” It’s around that time her ever silent guards return. She takes her coat and her bag from them quickly, fussing around them as they lift him off of the ground. “Be careful!” She says, following the three of them as the exit the insufferable area and head back toward Cenril’s Upperside. “Thank you for everything,” She calls over her shoulder to Khitti.

Jaxson is right and well out like a light at the moment, even thojgh Khitti does wonders to stem off death's greedy little mittens this day. The irony that Vak played a part? Not missed. The Ravencroft heir will need more mending for sure, but due to the red mage's potent abilities his life is spared.

Shishi 's baby girl probably wants to have a chat with Valrae at some point about being dead, but the kid has a lot on her plate at the moment, so that'll have to come at a later date. Hopefully the governor can stay alive long enough this time for that to happen.

Khitti grabbed Val's wrist lightly before she could leave. "Come find me, if he still needs help. There'll be less... theatrics next time. Promise. He'll be okay though. Give him some time." With that said, she'd let her take Jaxson elsewhere before she too climbed her way out of the pit and headed to the Tranquility.
