The Roleplay!

Valen was at his usual spot in the Academy, in a chair, in front the fire though this time the occassion called for something a bit stronger than Brandy. In his glass was quite a powerful concoction of his own. Three parts Brandy, five parts Absinthe, and two parts whiskey, along with about two shots of blood, it was just what he needed to finally unwind from -all- the stress that had been happening to him. Carefully he sipped, feeling it warm him all the way down to his toes. He was off today, no classes, and was going to make the best of it.

Lycidas entered into the grand academy with his usual grandeur, both of the massive doors shoved open with a simple push. His voice boomed throughout the academy, to the point it seemed the weak walls might shake with the sheer volume of the man’s yell, “Valen! We must speak!” He seemed to be in quite the hurry.

Valen felt his eyes narrow as a hand went to his head. Today, for once, the male had actually decided to lounge in his dress and stood with grace, and slowly made his way to where the male was. With a gentle nod in recognition he would stand there, shoulders back, back straight, and drink in hand as he continued to sip from it. "Lycidas...a simple knock would do you know. But seeing as you seem to be in a bit of a hurry, how can I help you...?" It was said with honest concern now, voice with that alluring lilt, though Lycidas was probably in too much of a hurry to take notice of any of this. "And please, if anything, do try to keep your voice down as some students ended up getting sick last night and may be sleeping still."

Lycidas smelled the booze that reeked from Valen’s breath, a curious raise of his brow, yet no comment made. “You’re correct in your assumption, I could not spend the time searching this whole academy for you. I need a favor and I need it discreet with little to no word about it.” The dress, why the dress? The large male decided to overlook it but the rather..Feminine male was given strange glances of curiosity by the death knight.. Why would any male wear such a thing?

Valen 's breath may have reeked of alcohol, though his posture was infallibly sober-looking. With a smirk, and perhaps a bit of flair, he would motion for Lycidas to follow him as he walked a ways away from the entrance, to prevent any students that may be outside from hearing what was being asked. At the strange glances, Valen had simply stood there, casually not really caring it seemed. Truth be told, he just liked feeling beautiful. "State your favor then Dear....Discretion is my middle name."

Lycidas followed the feminine male through the castle to where they might speak in private away from prying eyes and ears. Once secured within the room the death knight spoke in whispered tones, “Recently an associate of mine was kidnapped by a member of the Larket Guard. Currently, he is held within the prisons of Larket. I need him freed from the prison. Is this possible without alerting anyone?”

Valen would listen to the Death Knight, eyes narrowing slightly before nodding his head in agreement. "Of course it is. All I need is at the -least- a general description of the Guard that did the kidnapping, if you have that, so that I can at the least know who to watch out for, and who to keep off my trail while I work." It was said just as hushedly, though it was evident that he was more than willing to help the male in his time of need. "If you dont have a description, It will take a bit more work but I can still get it done. What I do need though is the Abductee's name." Lycidas listed off the details of the man who stole his brigand, describing perfectly Mythayus, able to flash like lightning and all of that. When Lycidas finished he gave the feminine one a name, “Segen, is his name.. And, if you can’t get him out and can simply give him a message.. That would also be acceptable.” Lycidas pulled out a letter from his pocket, a small envelope, “This will do just fine. Hand it to him and it will give him instructions on how to proceed.” He cocked his brow once more, “You’ll not read it, I trust?”

Valen , had he not already been used to odd ocurances, might have balked at what was just described to him (or rather, who) and would give a nod to him with a smile "My word is my bond, Lycidas. I will make sure that if I can not get Segen out, that your letter will most assuredly reach him." He would not take it dorectly out of the other Vampire's hand, but would hold his hand out to receive the letter. In his mind though he could not help but feel that this was somewhat of a trap, a test, or otherwise something nefarious. Either this Segen was of the utmost importance to Lycidas, that he would trust somewhat of a stranger, or perhaps it was merely a test of the Vampires integrity at best? Either way, he was willing to help, and that was that. "-If- I manage to liberate him, he will know where to meet you...correct?"

Lycidas looked into Valen’s eyes with great intensity, burning an image into his mind, scouring the very pores of Valen’s face, his reactions, emotions, and possibly his soul. He needed to know this man would not betray him, that even though Valen seemed weak, feminine, fragile, that he’d stick to his word.. And that, this word would go beyond that of loyalty to the house of Larewen, “I need assurances Valen, you can not read the letter, you can not inform anyone of this plan. How can you make this pledge to me?” The knight’s eyes remained locked upon the others, tirelessly trying to divulge just the information he needed.

Valen 's eyes and mind would betray nothing against that which he had said. He was intent on not reading the letter, he was intent on not speaking to anyone about this plan, although the Alcohol he had already imbibed would make his expression one of indifference, overall tiredness, and a sense of perhaps something most akin...to despair. The male had nothing left to lose, and so perhaps it was with a wave of his hand over his own lips, the smell of alcohol vanishing magically if only to appear more presentable, before moving closer towards Lycidas...eyes of his own returning the gaze. "I have nothing to give...Lycidas, but my word. Nothing holds true value to me anymore, nothing...Although..." He would stop just a distance away, a smirk on his face before leaning in and going to give him the smallest of kisses to his cheek. "That is the only way I know how...at this moment."

Lycidas smiled his appreciation at the small man before him. Even after being kissed, the man did not break his kind look, instead he reached around the back of Valen and lifted him into a hug. After the kind embrace, the large vampire set down the feminine one, “Thank you, my friend, I appreciate your generosity. I only wish I could give you something more.” The knight knelt over ever so slightly, kissing Valen upon the forehead, “You mean everything to me for this favor.” With that he stood back up straight, pulling off his massive coat and placing it upon the small vampire’s shoulders, it was made from a massive bear pelt, “Don’t get cold on me now.” He gave a small wink and moved to leave.

Valen would never have guessed a number of things to happen in so little time. First of all was the hug that caused his oh so fair face to flush, the words of thanks reaching his ears, the way it was wording causing him to bite at his lower lip as the flush only grew, albeit just slightly. The kiss to his forehead doing much the same. "Oh please we hardly know each other...I doubt I mean so much already." A sthe coat was placed upon his shoulders though, he would draw it around him and hold it close, looking down with a smile and a silent giggle before looking back up. "I only promise that, so long as you promise to visit me again...On more...ideal terms?" As he seemed to be getting ready to leave, Valen's heart would give off phantom beats, the feeling of anxiety a schoolgirl would get around perhaps an upper classman whom they held something for. So it wa sthe Vampire stood, a grinning mess, before moving after him swiftly. "Thank you...I...I just wanted to say thank you, for being a gentleman." It was true, not many, if any, of the males he had taken an interest in had shown him the courtesy or respect that was just witnessed, and far fewer seemed to even care, yet this one did...and that made him feel far better than he had felt in months, it showing on his face.

Lycidas seemed incredibly genuine as he convinced the unsuspecting feminine one into desiring the large knight.. Yet Lycidas always saw the end game, always desired the greater plan in the end and as he played the poor vampire before him, nothing tugged at his heart. He knew Valen was lonely, knew Valen had no one and that Valen wanted somebody more than anything.. ANd he played that weakness without even flinching or giving away a true part of his plans. “Just be safe, I promise, I won’t leave you for long.” The knight opened the door to leave, “And you should never have to thank me, you’re a prize in and of yourself.” With that, the man moved through the door to exit the academy.

Valen 's emotions were certainly being molded and shaped by this male, and the red-head was all too unsuspecting. As the promise was made, Valen knew and felt all too well that he would see the Death Knight again. "I will make sure that things are more ready for when you come back..." he would say with another soft giggle, this time a chuckle laced in there as well, as he stood watching Lycidas leave. A prize, he had been called. A prize, in and of himself...had been said. "I will always thank you for kindness good sir, though in the end I know there are few like you left...It pains me that we started off on the wrong foot. I will make it up to you, by making you dinner upon your return whenever that is..." A long lasting gaze would be given, almost a knowing smirk as a bit of his old radiance sprung forth from behind his eyes and face, glowing almost...before he turned and started to walk towards the stairs...humming some etheareal song in such a way that not even the abyss or the heavens above would be able to keep pace with it's jovial yet enigmatic tone, before they were both out of sight of each other.
