Synopsis Grimgar the ogre is hurt during his training, as he nears the scared shrine to seek out healing from Crazy Maude he runs into Joan as she is there stocking up the shrine with supplies from the healer's guild. Joan offers to treat the orge.

Sacred Shrine

Grimgar saunters down the main way, wearing his ramshackle armor, held together with mere hempen rope, his wagon wheel shield strung up, and his mace, made from a wagon's axle with additional spare iron completing his set. Plenty of cuts and gashes had been placed on his legs and arms, only a few reaching his torso. He'd been spending the last few hours rampaging and killing drunks, beasts, and the like. More surprised than anything that not only would no one stop him, it was practically encouraged. Using a ripped bit of clothing from one of his victims he wiped his maw, blood smearing over it as he dismissively tossed it aside. Some of his wounds were getting to him, but he'd be happy to eat it off anyhow.

Joan was moving down the path with a large sack filled with items Maude had requested from the guild to help stock up her supplies. As the vampiric healer makes her way along the path she does notice a few new corpses of recently deceased drunks. She purses her icy pale pink lips together as she steps around the ones that happen to be in the way, but other than that she didn’t much take notice. It was a very day occurrence by now, a cart to load up and take the corpses away would be by much sooner than later. As she nears the entrance to the shrine where Crazy Maude stays, she notices the big fellow as he comes along. "Hey there big guy, happen to need some medical attention?! If so, come on into the shrine here, me and Maude will fix you up in a jiffy free of charge."

Grimgar grinned widely, towering over Joan "Fhree eh? Well, dat's a treat. You got somefin' fer dem icy bites up norf?" He showed a gnarly bite that was from a winter wolf from Frostmaw, clearly having been traveling quite a bit. Dismissively he flicks a cork off a rum barrel and takes a drink in the middle of asking.

Joan blinks as she slings the large sack over her shoulder as she moves in close to look over the big fellow’s ouchies. “Yeah, I got something for those also. My name is Joan and I’m with the healer's guild. We fix and patch up hurt people for free here down in Kelay.” She points out the leafy entrance to the scared shire, “If you will follow me here, you can even get something free to eat. It is just a good hearty soup and some good thick bread rolls, but it will fill you up that stomach and make you feel a bit better.”

Grimgar held his out "Afftah you, coarse Oi'll neehd me a 'ole cauldron tah fill me belly. Me soize an all you un'stand?" He coyly lets her lead. Taking a moment to pick something from his teeth. "Cain't be too proffi'able tah 'eal fer fhree eh?"

Joan offers a mere shrug of her vested shoulders as she leads the way into the scared shrine. As she enters, she gives a greeting to Maude and lightly places her sack of supplies next to the woman. The older woman gives a Bob of her head back to Joan while she opens the sack and begins pulling out the fresh healing supplies as Joan points towards a large bench out to the ogre. “It’s fine, Maude here is used to feeding all types, you will be fine.” As she waits for him to sit down Joan would rummage around in a few drawers and cubby holes to take out everything she needs. “I wouldn’t know to be honest, nor do I care. I’m just here to gain experience with healing everyone and everything that ask.”

Grimgar sits with a slam, a cloud of dust rising. He helps himself to the cauldron, picking it up with one hand and pouring a helping soup down his gullet. After a moment "Aye mayhbe, but you could git plenty of dings fastah if ya charged yeh?" He looked around at people, taking in the surroundings. "An' what experience you want 'ealin'? Don't got nuffin' ya want yerself?"

Joan would arch a brow as she looked over the ogre, typical of his species no manners to speak of, and rather crass, turning towards the huge fellow Joan would set her fresh clean supplies next to the ogre, “I don’t even know if I am allowed to charge a price yet. I’m just at a journeyman’s level. I’m not bothered by not getting paid, I make my own money the honest way.” The other people already in the shrine move to make room and those that feel well enough to depart go. It was all done with little fuss or mess as this place has been around for a very long time. “I need to experience to move up in the guild. The more I treat and heal all different sorts of the better healer I will be in the long run. As for wanting anything for myself, of course, I want things for myself, that is the drive for every being.” She now asks him for his name, “What’chu name dude?! And I need you to set that cauldron down so I can treat you. Now I will clean all these wounds and wipe them out then place antibiotics on them. From there I can either patch them up with bandages or magically heal them. The second option is the quickest and easiest. Which one do you wanna do?”

Grimgar sets down the cauldron. "Magics bettah. Name's Grrrrimgar." He rolls his 'R' a fair bit, smiling in the chicanery of it. "An' Oi cahn tell yer, there's plenty honest fees fer 'ealin'. Deese guilds an' all get them rules but are dey really 'elpin' you? You may get more strikin' out, 'ealers nevah do bird and every'un' clears them king leers fer ya too." He takes the wagon shield off, clearing more room for her work. "An' what is it you DO want that's got ya 'ere?"

Joan just gives a shake of her head at Grimgar as she moves to quickly pat and swipe clean cotton squares against all the scratches, cuts, and wounds on the big fellow’s chest and arms. She pauses at the wolf bites, tsking slightly before she moves to toss all the dirty cotton squares into the fire barrel. They will be taken out back and burned to dispose of them at a later date. “You are mighty chatty for one of your kind my fellow. Yes, I do -personally feel- that being part of the guild helps me. I have access to just about everything I need to accomplish my goal, and I don’t need to spend a copper of my own.” She reaches for a large bottle of sanitizer which she shows to Grimgar as she speaks to him, “This might sting a bit, but that is a good thing. It is killing any growing infection you might have gotten from that bite. Once I’m done, I will begin the magical healing. Now, to let you know beforehand I am a vampire. My healing energies are chilly since I am undead. Don’t be alarmed just trust the process, okay?!” Once he agrees Joan will set to work with a focus.

Grimgar grins again "Called me da barg'ner back 'ome, don't moind it nun." Upon her speaking to the process "An' yeh, go ahead, stings an' chills are de least o' me problems. It is good dey 'elp you at least. Ain't tossin' coppers fer nuffin'. Not many git dem chances. So, what is ya goal? Iffun ya don't mind?"

Joan lightly tips the bottle over the ogre’s wolf attack bites and any claw marks. That done she now lightly dabs a clean fresh cotton square with the liquid, she takes that to the other smaller cuts and wounds. Done in no time she balls up those dirty used bandages and those follow after the others. Joan would wash and dry her hands, which she totally did before treating Grimgar before. “When you are treating any type of wound it is always best to use as clean a bandage you happen to have on you, examine it, then wrap it up tightly before seeking treatment. Always seek out treatment, no matter if it seems like some itty-bitty scratch, that scratch will have infection and other nasty little bits in it. And if you don’t seek out treatment the infection will enter your bloodstream or worse your bones and well…you might end up losing a limb or more.” Joan rattles off to the ogre while she now holds one hand over the wolf bite and the other above his chest. Inhaling the vampiric healer gathers her chilly purple healing energies from her core and moves the power down into her arms and hands. She allows a steady stream to flow while exhaling out her held breath. The spent energies smoke out from the corner of her eyes as she focuses on knitting closed all those small little wounds and cuts etc.

Grimgar grins as she dodges the question again. Feeling the chill close his wounds. " 'minds me ohf some venoms up norf." He reaches over again and pours another helping of stew down. It's clear he's used to getting what he wants, either from force or just being a bother. " 'ave 'ad worse though. Bites don't offen take us out. Even as the runt."

Joan frowns slightly as she finishes off the quick magical healing, there wasn’t much to comment about as she just had limited book knowledge about Grimgar’s kind. He was the first she ever got to medical treat and heal with her chilly magic. “Okay, move around a bit from side to side with your torso and feel at the healed area and tell me how you feel, right as rain and ready to go back out there adventuring, hm?! Oh…my personal drive to learn everything I can so I can make better more solid-looking undead once I raise them up. I’m a necromancer first, a healer second.” Here she would offer him a huge, fanged smile, “Maybe think about donating your corpse to science, and if I’m on call at any of the local morgues I might just raise you up from the dead and do…experiments on you. Hehe.” Did she mean for that to sound spooky and ever so slightly creepy?! Who knows.

Grimgar actually bursts with laughter at that. "Well, dat's more like it, and yer chills work a treat." He moves around a bit offering up his own toothy smile. "Well, if Oi ends up gettin' somefin' in'erestin', mayhbe Oi donate it to yah? Git yer corpses up roight yeh, me old china? Git yer some other ogres maybe?"

Joan just offers a mere shrug at Grimgar’s questions, the Necromancers guild always had fresh corpses of every type donated to them, they were part of the body recycling program after all. Waste not, want not. “Sure, whatever you can do, but make it legally, we don’t want the law to come hunting for you for just helping out! With that Joan would stand away from the ogre and make motion towards the other patients that have begun to gather at the shrine. “You have a good rest of your evening big guy, and I’ll probably see you around at a later date.” She flashes another smile before making a motion for the next person in line to come forward.

Grimgar gives her a wide sadist grin, making his way out, the moment he's past the doors, the screams and splatters of more drunks outside resumes, as Grimgar picks up his warpath again.
