Part of the Rise of Larket Arc

Summary: Artia begins giving out the cure for the fermin plague, during which she runs in Mihael, who pledges to keep the fermin at bay himself.

Larket Town Square

In middle of the town square sat a table with three assistant healers she borrowed from the sickbay, each had shot and were administering them to the people of Larket. A long line stood before them, at a side table sat the Apothecary, wearing a strapless dress with no shoulders and an open back. Covered only by a translucent purple fabric. The bottom is a wide and detailed affair, with layers of the translucent fabric on top of it. The whole dress is a deep royal purple, embroidered along the skirt are organic squiggly circles that emulate the texture of coral in the deep sea, in a glowing thread. The front of the top has fabric folded and shaped artistically to form the ever present trilobite logo, three dimensional shape even. Kreekitaka did an amazing job at her attire. At the witch's table she had forms and files for each person receiving. The witch was not accepting money as she was giving the antidote to anyone who needed it for free, large cyan eyes would scan the crowd, and lift her long waves of dark strawberry hair up into a pony tail. A few of Larket guards would circulate through the crowd keeping an eye on everything. Each person here to get the antidote was covering in marks that looked like tiny boil, and smelled of rotting skin. This was the fermin doing, and Artia would make them pay for the damage they were doing to her beloved Larket.

Mihael moves silently theough the crowd, his attire blending him in with those of the lesser class. However in reality he was of ancient and royal blood. The hermit would softly puff upon the pipe as he made his way towards the front of the line without a word and careful to avoid the guards amongst the crowd. Soon enough he is to the right of the table and speaks, his voice unique as it is composed of several voices speaking at once. "What happened? I left for a while and return to see the people like this." His hands rest gently upon the pick axes hanging at his sides, its actually a miracle he remained so silent. Upon inspection it is obvious the man is clad in irons, his ragged appearance would make most brush him off. However the crimson hues glowing behind the mask and the authority behind his voices show that he is no mere individual. As he finishes his words he takes another puff filling the air with the aroma of strawberries, his latest batch.

Artia noticed a male moving along the line that had nothing wrong with him, maybe he just had the fever and none of the blisters or rashes yet? Or maybe he had the cough instead the marks? Hmm, he was a curious one, his aura read to her what his race was. Was he one of the ferals in the enchanted forest? No, he couldn’t be those types refused to change out of their wolf. Looking into the males eyes with her large cyan ones, her voice silk as water and sweet as honey. But boomed with control and authority herself, "Fermin from below have been trying to take over Larket, I am the person in the way of it. I am Artia the Larket's Apothecary." One of the Larket people that signed her paper for treatment, spoke up. "Our next queen if us people have anything to do with it, she been our savior for years now." Artia smiled and patted the old man's shoulder. "Go rest Edlin, the antidote will make you tired. We made a place for everyone to rest and recover in the concert hall. It is heavily guards so do not worry. In few hours you will feel healthy again." She even slipped an apple into his hand with a soft smile upon her full plump ruby lips, looking back to the lycan. Who was smoking something that smells of strawberries, how curious. "I am thinking on taking the crown, they think I should. These fermin are eating our corpse that they infect, I made the antidote which heals. I am also working on a potion that makes immune system fight it if they catch it again. Who are you?"

Mihael watches in silence at the exchange of words before the stranger leaves. He merely takes the words in as his eyes scan about, not the people but at the guards themselves who seem to have noticed him and watch carefully. "Does not matter who I am at the moment. What matters is what is to happen from this moment forth." A drag from the pipe before a release of smoke trails in the air. "I see your trying to heal the people. What is it your doing about the pests?" It is obvious he is not one to submit to authority.

Artia stares at him hard, moving to help another elderly person sigh the parchment as she moves to grab some more, her hips swaying side to side as she grabbed another scroll for more to sign there name or make their mark if they could not sign. Offering a constant smile to the people, this time it was a woman who spoke out. "Don't pester our Artia, she has been fighting the pest herself along with her allies and friends." Artia moved over to the speaker and hushed them softly, moving with the person to help get the shot. She was polite about the way she told the person she was okay, but not to speak out like so. Once she was done she helped her sign and off she went. The guards offered Mihael a nod but also a glare as they kept a watchful eye on Mihael to make sure he would not harm the savior of Larket. "As she said, I have devised a team of allies and they been keeping watch as well fighting with me to push them back. Lately they been getting even more brave and hunting children and our weak. They are feasting, I think there is something else wrong with the fermin, Larket been at peace with them for so long why are they doing this? It is a question I will find out, I would give my life for these people and city. But right now, I need to protect these people and I will with everything I got." She paused, "So who are you?"

Mihael chuckles then out right begins laughing. "I am the answer to your prayers." he says with certainty. "This alliance, this team you've put together. Keep them out of my way, they would only get hurt and this land does not need to add to the body count." Cracking his neck he draws forth both pick axes and swings them gently through the air, careful to avoid anyone. "You stay here and heal the people. Of that you seem to be doing well, however I don't trust the borders to be kept by you, your team, or your guards. I remind the pests of their options since they have grown bold enough to invade and harm the people." His eyes close for a moment, when they open its as if a fire was

Artia smirked at him shaking her head, the trees nearby responded to the witch and leaned in. Even a few vines began to sprout from the ground at his feet, with a wave of her hand the vines moved back to the way they came. "I am sorry, but that is not how it works. That would damage Larket, the fermin are many, and to these people I am the one they believe need and have been needing. So you can become my ally, and we work together. Or it be you that be in my own way, wolf." She admired his courage and bravery, "But I have this under control, I been fighting fermin and have had the people safe. I am doing a good job as these people have spoken to you already. So, join me as an ally in return you gain even more allies. Working together to save Larket makes more sense instead puffing chest out to see who can be the top one here. You and I barely know each other to pass judgment, I like your courage and bravery sir. But you can't win a war against hundreds with one person fighting. The air got dense, her element was air and that could be dangerous for him. "No reason for us to argue over who will do what, but I have devised a plan of action, those that challenge Larket are stuck on the surface as the entrance and exits from the sewers are blocked." This human had large balls, bigger then most would have. She would not back down from him, or stop what she has been doing. Even some people Iin the crowd agreed with her, shouting out. She stood up and moved towards the center of the town square as many were not happy with the way Mihael acted. Raising her hand, the people of Larket silenced even the birds went quiet as the druidic witch had a large bond with flora and fauna. Moving back to Mihael, as the conversations of those by began to banter again. "Wolf, join me in helping Larket do not fight against me. You see these people already like what I am doing, just go with it. Help us, do not try to fight against what I am doing."

Mihael scoffs at her comment, "Woman I been fighting wars since before your birth. I know what Im capable of and riding the coty of the fermine is one thing I know I can do. You have been keeping them at bay, I seek to end this once and for all. The people may side with you, but it is not them fighting." He looks her up and down and seems to ignore the fact that she has the ability to control virtually all of Larket including the plants and animals. "I won't join your team nor will I be in the way."

Artia stood her ground to point she moved to stand her five foot seven height against his tall form, "Good for you that you been fighting all your life, I was born to kill and murder. I am not scared to make anyone bleed, or put anyone out of my way." Her arms crossed under her large chest, "No its not them that is fighting, it's been me and my allies. A large smile spread her luscious lips, "I am glad you won't be in my way, but you may change your mind about joining up with me. I will see you again sometime, we shall see what you say then. But for now, I have work to do wolf. Come by the ranch tonight, and I'll convince you to join. Or you can just go hunting and take a chance at getting infected yourself too, either way you will need the abilities and sources I have. But I know your type.." She pauses staring into his eyes deeply, not backing down, nor would she ever and she let him know that. "Your type like to be loner, doesn't like help..but in this type of war. You will need it, you get infected you would be knocking at my door..either way you will be seeing me a lot as I never leave Larket." She took a small step away, her eyes not leaving his. "I need to get back to work I am sure we will see each other around. Have a good day, wolf."

Mihael places the pick axes back and chuckles, "A feisty one you are. You have a backbone Ill give you that. However you know nothing of me, just as I know nothing of you. You say I need your help? Dearest, you need mine." He sits upon the edge of the table and puffs gently. "You cant win this war without me. I think you know that and seek to convince me. Tell you what, since I dont trust you with war, we can settle this another way. You win and Ill consider being an ally. I win and you stay out of my way. Id like to see what this savior is capable of." He tilts his head slightly and for the first time actually takes her in.
