An Excerpt from John's Journal:

Appearance: Nine feet tall as a man stands, relatively humanoid upper body while its lower body is that of a mountain goat. Possesses a long, serpentine tail lined with sharp spines. Forehead can sport horns in a variety of spiraling patterns. Its skin is stark white and seems to be made of snow, allowing it to blend into its environment. Contact with the skin causes severe frost burns and almost immediate frostbite in warm-blooded beings. Mouth is filled with serrated teeth that are arranged in rows down to the back of the throat, where a glowing blue or white light is visible.

Native Region(s): Extreme arctic climates, usually in places were great pain and suffering has taken place, or where wayward spirits are plentiful (these serving as prey).

Feeding Habits: It feeds off misery, anger, sorrow, and other dark emotions, often producing these by cruelly tormenting the living and restless dead alike.

Abilities: Extremely cold presence, able to produce hypothermia when near the unprepared. Often wields a whip made of razor'd frost that has the same chilling effects as its flesh. Possesses minor teleportation abilities, presumptively by moving through the snow and ice, allowing it to uses its signature hunting technique: striking from whichever direction the prey is not looking. Elder devils are able to produce high-pitched screeches that carry various results, up to and including: nausea, dizziness, disorientation, bloodlust, primal fear, and temporary deafness.

Additional Notes/Lore: Cannot be killed by anything less than destruction of its core--situated in the center of its chest much like a heart. It will shake off any other attack, up to and including being beheaded. Its blood freezes on contact, and seems to have no end. Killing one seems to result in the creature violently dissolving in a whirlwind of ice, potentially making slaying it as dangerous as fighting it.
