Hollow Weekly Writing Contest

What originally started as a fun little whim got some good support. So, I've decided to expand it into a weekly thing to allow more people time to write and get creative.

The premise is simple. Write the subject of the week! Stories need not be completely canon, and generally won't be. Funny, serious, philosophical, whatever, simply write the best you feel fits the subject. The winner of the contest for the week takes home a custom, with the runner ups getting 10,000 gold and 5,000 gold respectively. In addition, they're allowed to pick the subject for next week if they so wish.

Current Contest

The HWWC is currently on a hiatus due to the low submissions for the most recent contests. Someone else is welcome to take the reins until I decide to do so again.

Send all entries to Ranok via Hmail. The deadline is n/a, so next Sunday. Please put 'HWWC: Week (week number)' in the subject line, or HWWC for short.

Voting

A new rule is in effect: All applicants must then vote, following the below rules. This way, even if no one else votes, the applicants will be able to decide the next week's winner. To not do so is a disqualification for that week!

Voting is simple. Submit all votes via hmail to Ranok, or place onto the current week's talk page. Simply pick which story you feel deserves first place, second place, and third. At the end of voting cycle, the votes will be tallied. First place earns each voted entry 3 points, second gets 2, and third earns one. The points will then determine the winners. In the event of a tie, a new speed round of voting may be entered or judges can be called in to weigh the entries.

You may vote if you submitted an entry, but you may not vote for yourself. You are not allowed to vote for only one entry.

As a side note, any donations towards the reward fund would be appreciated. As well, any new ideas for the next week's contest should be submitted. Winners may select, but having a list they can pick from is most helpful. And if anyone else wants to spruce this page up, please, be my guest. <_< ~Ranok
