Duel:Kasyr v Trissayne

From HollowWiki

Frozen Throne Massive, blue-steel double doors manned by a pair of armored Frost Giants grants entrance to this rebuilt throne room. A room without corners, this circular affair is well-lit by azure-flamed lanterns set at regular intervals along the walls. Between each lantern stands a stern-faced, heavily armed Frost Giant, all wearing the matching uniform of the Queen's Guard. Their armor, trimmed in white fur, has been crafted of enchanted ice to be as durable as steel while appearing much like polished silver, and covers them from winged helm to spike-toed boots. Emblazoned on their breastplate is the Snow Maiden's crest: the white silhouette of a rearing snow gryphon against a black snowflake. This same symbol is repeated in woven blue tapestries on either side of the doors, and a final, magnificent one carved into the icy wall directly behind the throne. The throne itself is one of a kind, its base once a seat of blue-steel now encased in flawless ice, covered in arches, curves, and edges all seemingly carved by a master carpenter. This is the domain of the Lady of Frostmaw, where allies are welcomed and foes are expelled. A group of the Queen's Guard is here. A pair of Snow Gryphons is here.

=====================

Tanya moves into the room following Trissayne. The vampriss stays next to the wall to watch the events that are to unfold

Svilfon said to Tanya, "Leave, or you'll die."

Tanya said to Svilfon, "I am just here watching not threatening anyone"

Svilfon said to Tanya, "You don't enter a throne room without asking and use the excuse that you're just watching. You've been warned."

Svilfon said to Trissayne, "You too, bitch. Leave, or die."

Ranok is waiting for the alert so he can sweep on through with the airship overhead.

Trissayne still sitting in the trone. He starts to laugh as the idle threat passes. " She's not going anywhere unless I tell her to, and nor am I."

Svilfon nods his head to the words, before extending his hand and summoning his Xalious wood staff. He turns to Tanya for just a minute to say, "You follow an idiot. You will die for it. Such is life." With a shrug the wizard turns back to the drow and speaks clearly, "You were warned." A whispered word flows through the room, causing tendrils of flame to wrap around the wizard's robed form. He tears through Hollow, having enacted his teleportation spell, and appears just beside the throne. No time is wasted before he stabs out with his wand, it's vicious point aimed to impale the drow's head before waves of fire pour from its tip.

Kasyr strides into the room, a palpable darkness already oozing off the Kensais' form. Far be it from him to question the lack of the Frostgiants within the fortress, or the Queensguard. Perhaps there had been a dragon that had ventured too far to the cities borders, and the queen was out and about. Whatever the case- the vampiric Revenant ventures to the midst of the room and offers the interloper a fixed glare- which quickly becomes a sardonic smirk and an arch of his eyebrow, "Well, you're not Vuryal- so there went any hopes for an amusing fight." It's with those words spoken that Kasyr flicks out his right hand, an obsidian Katana forming within his grasp- an action which seems to coax the sudden manifestation of twenty-four 'cracks' of darkness forming within the Revenants vicinity. "Still, I suppose I ought to get this out of the way. Any declarations, monsieur?" Well, if Svilfon, doesn't torch him.

Kasyr said to Tanya, "I would highly suggest you induldge in the better part of Valour, and depart. Immediately. I will not guarantee your safety, otherwise."

Redovian sits and waits, as more a back up in case the wraith attaempts to flee. With the soft spoken words of prayer offered up to Cyris, the celestial guardian known as Seika is awakened. The divine guardian's essence, the ever dangerous holy fire, creates a wall of white flames all about the throne room, thus sealing it off from outside forces that are unwanted, and making escape near impossible, unless the wraith wishes to suffer terrible burns caused by the wrath of a god of the light. With another prayer, Redovian asks that his allies be spared his patrons wrath, and be able to pass freely through the flames as needed. Only time will tell if the god decides to allow such a request or not, given the nature of those present.

Tanya said to Kasyr, "I accompanied him here and when he tells me to leave than I will leave"

Kasyr said to Tanya, "If you don't depart, you're an enemy. Bear that in mind."

Tanya sighs and glances at Triss before she moves to the door and leaves.

Redovian watches as the vampire leaves.

Trissayne steadily watches as a few play toys come out of the shadows, Turning his head as he spots one of them appear beside the throne in which he was sitting in. "Death will not come to me, by the likes of any one you weaklings." And with that being said Trissayne rolls over the side of the throne just as the sharpened stick stabbed the cushion. Withdrawing his sword as he lands on the ground below the throne aiming it at the wizard as he speaks towards the Revenant. "No, I may not be the Time Lord, but that remains a moot point as of the time being. As for declarations there will be none, unless you have any. " Without moving he watches the flames arise around them, thinking that they won't even phase him. He just ignores the futile attempt at trapping him in the room. Turning his attention back to the wizard with blade still in hand he places one hand on the arm of the throne while bending his knees to essentially launch him up and over the throne; tip of his blade quickly pursuing his pace in hopes to send it right through the center of the spine to render the wizard immobile. If successful Triss will turn to Kas, "You can and will be next, that is unless you leave now." Will be heard as he lands on the floor, playing with the hilt to his blade.

Redovian looks at the drow and shakes his head, calling back Seika as he exhales a sigh of disappointment. He turns and takes his leave, knowing that drow would be dead within the hour, and the paladin had better things to do than to watch a massacre.

Svilfon watches the drow perform his attack with a sardonic smile on his face. All the blathering (for you, Hanan ;)) he does gives the wizard time to prepare his followup spell, and as the dark elf begins to descend towards him, Svil merely teleports again back to where he started, dangerously close to the holy-fires Redovian burst into life. This time, though, he was far less caring with the combustive energies such a spell leaves in its wake. So instead of a cloud of smoke resting where the drow was about to attack, a huge sphere of dancing fires has burned into wicked life; its heat so intense it snaps and crackles the air like a ravening beast, consuming it to grow larger and larger... right where the drow is falling to...

Kasyr sparsely reacts to Triss' bravado, seemingly more intent upon following the drows motions. The Revenant is, after all, a Kensai- effectively a swordsman of such finesse that he has transcended the limitations of the mundane. A feat that's granted him a mind keen enough to discern nuances present within the offending drows fighting style- Kasyr seeking to gauage the actual discern whether Triss is a masterful swordsman, or perhaps simply an impassioned 'youth' seeking to literally carve a name out for himself. Still, beyond this, the vampire doesn't seem all that motivated to stir to motion yet- though the 24 fractures of darkness within his vicinity do continue to expand, effectively manifesting into a number of Katanas identical to the one within his hand. For the moment, they seem 'content' to merely float within the Revenants vicinity, a lingering threat in response to Trissaynes.

Trissayne falling through the raising flames as his attack had missed its mark. Unsure how to take out the Revenant after he kills the wizard finds the rest of this battle pointless. Seeing that his arm was on fire and his face burning from the heat. he tosses his blade away towards the feet of the wizard. "just put out the fire and I will leave."

Kasyr said to Svilfon, "...May I?"

Svilfon snaps his foot down to catch the sword beneath his boot, before speaking a few words in a vowel-heavy and guttural tongue. The flames he left in his wake subside, twisting until they're little more than tendrils of languidly floating smoke. With a nod the wizard bends down and picks up the weapon, before moving to the side and pointing at the door. "Leave him be, Kasyr." The wizard offers the Kensai a brief glance, before speaking to Trissayne, "If you come back here again, we will fight to the death. You will die. Consider this a fair warning; I have given you many. I will give no more. Return and die. It is that simple. Now leave." The vampire tosses the weapon back at the drow, so it lands at his feet, before impassively waiting for him to leave the throne room.

Kasyr is less looking at Trissayne in the current moment, and more focused upon Svilfon. Still his 'request' is momentarily honoured, beyond the mass of blades near the Revenant bristling.

Svilfon seems to pick up something in his sire's disposition, or perhaps it was that link the two shared. The wizard turns his head just briefly to flash the revenant a gap-toothed grin and a tip of his hat, before returning his attention to the drow.

Trissayne slowly grabbing the hilt of his blade never taking his eyes off the two as he pushed his way back up to his feet sheathering his sword he starts walking towards the two to pass bewteen them, turning his back on the wizard due to being more concerned with the revenant continues to walk towards the door once he has passed them both he walks out backwards and silently in case he must defend him self. still watching the both of them the entire time.

Svilfon continues to wait impassively, apparently unconcerned.

Kasyr bristles' again, the swords around him slowly rearranging themselves until they form a pair of 'wings' behind the Kensai. For a few moments, it appears like the vampire is all but poised to honour Svilfons demand, at least until the swords abruptly lance out- as though seeking to shred through Trissayne. And certainly, whilst some may in fact Lance through the drow should he not move, their veritable goal is to simply bar off his escape- effectively creating a wall of swords, "You know, last I recalled- I was king consort here. Et head of Coterie. Et frankly.." Svilfon is offered a sidelong glance, "I think we ought to have a chat with our guest here, as to why he's here, Whether he was sent here, et came of his own volition- et set out some 'very' specific guidelines to his continued existance. Unless he wants people to find his scattered body parts floating between here et Rynvale."

Svilfon takes a step towards Kasyr, shaking his head. "You court danger when it isn't needed. If this..." He points absently at the drow, "is the best he can send, then we have nothing to fear. The longer you keep him here, the more information he gets. Layers, Kasyr; they are not just of your making." The vampiric wizard stops, then, and taps his wand against his chin. "I suggest letting him scurry back to whatever hole he crawled out of. But as you say, you are the king consort here. Do as you will."

Trissayne upon seeing the attack and hearing the words said He tosses himself to the floor as the swords fly right over him. Jumping up to run out stops and turns to face the Revenant, Placing his hand on the hilt of his sword. but he makes no other movents, Instead he just stands there watching and waiting to see what happens next. Whether it be a fight or a 'talk' as he heard he has no idea.

Kasyr plants a hand on his hip, and simply leans forward, "Well, Let's start with the obvious. Your purpose here, what your exact mission or intent was. I'd like to know. Moreover, whether the Parasite directly sent you here, or if it was of your own volition. Hrm. Oh, et it would be good to know how many others are left over within his little entourage. It's nice to have a list of people to stab." Its' those particular words that cue the wall of swords behind Trissayne to jostle, so that he gets a subtle symphony of screeching steel to remind him of the imminent threat. What he's likely not aware of, is that the vampire is also currently relying upon his empathy to detect any deviations in Trissaynes empathic Resonance. After all, should he be dealing with the Vuryal, its' fairly likely that there's going to be a subtle difference between truth and falsehoods.

Kasyr supposes this is why he'll never work for Vuryal, the benefits and pay simply don't match the job hazards, harrasment, and the invasion of privacy due to constant scrying. ..That, and the overwhelming hatred, but thats' besides the point.

Svilfon shakes his head again, before whispering a short series of words. He holds the last one in to say to Kasyr, "Good luck, Kensai." Before he finishes up his small spell and is torn from the room.

Trissayne smiles as he sits down upon the icy floor Looking aroung the room as the wizard leaves to two alone. "My reasons are exactly that my reasons, I will tell you this however is has nothing to do with the Time Lord. As for whose left. I dont know, but since you want names i will give you the names that i do know.Bozrah, Ciari, Ixiel, Lataad, Lilitu, Minette, Ordox, Pyoshia, Remton, Vuryal and of course myself for the time being. upon hearing the peacefull sound of metal on metal he closes his eyes as he continues to speak. "And one more thing just know this you and I do share something in common." removing his blade he sets it on the floor infront of him. "Anything else?" he asked in a dry sarcastic voice.

Kasyr idly wills one of the blades from the array to dissipate- the obsidian arnament effectively rematerialising a fair bit closer to the Drows back- if only so it can press, tip first, against his back. "Your daric. You'll be relinquishing that to my custody, monsieur. Et your reasonings are getting divulged, or I'm unforunately going to have to seek out that..'accomplice' of yours et have a nice..long..chat, with her. You know? As much as moi et her have a history, I can hardly allow someone to level threats against Frostmaw et its' queen. Beyond that, we're going to set the terms of your unconditional banishment from the realm- et your 'departure' from amidst Vuryals forces." Kasyr can't help but tip forward at this, arms stretching out in either direction as though tempting Trissayne to make an attempt. Not that it would likely go well for him, given Kasyr is effectively the most powerful vampire to walk Lithrydel- but, well, the kensai likely makes a pretty tempting target.

Trissayne eyes still closed even as the tip of the sword enters his back, Triss able to feel a small stream like flow of blood run down his back. Continues to keep his eyes closed . It would appear that all hes' doing is trying not to show fear, when in fact he is just intent on remaining focused. "Your words do not scare me. And you will get no such information out of me." Placing his hands on the floor, He pushes himself backwards pushing the blade even deeper, causeing spurts of blood to splash on the floor behind him. Finally Triss opens his eyes and just looks at the Reverenant and just smiles. "We all have our tricks, Sir.' And with that his body breaks down and absorbs the sword. Standing up as his hands meld into swords "You won't touch her. Go ahead and try to kill me , but if you do. you still wont be any closer than you were before. As for the queen, Ha. What queen sends her lackys to defend her throne? And besides...You just have no idea." As he spoke his blade that was placed upon the floor had moved and is now hovering in midair behind the Vamp, Where as if need be there are 3 blades aimed to pirce the heart and remove the head. Essentually allowing for a quick exscape, since all Revrenant must be 'unmade' and cannot be killed. "ohh and you might want to have a talk with your guards seeing as how i told them i had a message for the queen and they let me in."

==================

Kasyr isn't quite clueless to the movements of the sword, despite its' currently sneaky 'vantage' point. It had been, after all, resting at Trissaynes feet until recently- at least until it had decided to casually and quietly slide across the room and take up a spot behind the Kensai. It's only upon the weapons 'multiplication' that the vampire suddenly moves, his head tipping down and body lurching so as to narrowly duck 'rude' attempt at decapitation. What's more, he simultaneously reverses his grip upon Gospel, and lays the blade against the the back of his own neck, effectively using it as a 'ramp' so that when the blade that was initially sent towards his trenchcoated back makes impact with, and skids across, the combination of preklek plating and mithril mesh beneath the leather- it does -not- end up lodged in the Revenants head, the Katana serving admirably to guide it upwards. Which simply leaves Trissayne to deal with two distinct problems. First and foremost is the abrupt explosion of steel that issues from behind the drow, seeking to skewer him with the menacing wall of 23 obsidian katanas, which seek to reduce him to a pin cushion. More insidiously, however, Trissayne also has to deal with the 24th he believes he has absorbed, the 'fragment' of Kasyrs' sentient soul bound weapon effectively redistributing its mass towards his internal organs and beginning a forceful materialisation within his body. That weapon, whether or not Trissayne strives to eject it from his body, will find itself rapidly getting a portion of Kasyrs power shunted into it- so as to coax the odious weapon into swiftly growing red hot.

Trissayne spins to the side as he drops to his knees slamming both parts of the sword into the floor before releasing the hold his body had on them. Upon impact; a forged wall of steel blasts up through the floor where the sword was placed into it. Creating a barriair between him and the other 22 parts but not before the 23rd piece had flown through the outer flesh of his arm. Sending a spew of blood spraying arcross the wall that he had just created. Slamming his hands together as he summoned his blade back to him. With blade in hand it turns red hot and falls apart only to land on the floor in two parts of which Triss kicks with his feet sending them into the air where he catches then and flings one for the heart where as the other is held behind him, while he leans forword hoping for a clear chance to rush in to pain his blade with the crimson fluid that flows throught Kasyr's side.

Kasyr hops back from the wall of steel that leaps into existance before him, his Katana swinging out warily before him. Ready as he is, the vampires reaction to the flung blade fragment is minute- the tip of his blade briefly flicking out towards the side to redirect it from his center mass. Effectively, the vampire avoids a red-hot impalement, though he still ends up with the item glancing off his trenchcoated shoulder, a slight wince evoked as the heat briefly laps at the vampire. Alas, as for Triss ill-fated desire to press the attack, the vampires more than willing to grant it. With his blade briefly dipping down to provide an opening, Kasyr waits for Trissaynes desire to carve into him to bear fruit, before the vampire abruptly shuffes in towards the strike, his sword bearing arm slamming up into the Drows blade. With the preklek plate there to absorb both kinetic force and the damage that might be done by blades edge, the Revenant merely has another bruise to show for his efforts- something he intends to return in kind with an abrupt extension his katana- every intention to thrust his odious weapon through the dark elfs' torso. Whether or not the strike hits, the vampires quick to hop back, before his supposedly unarmed hand flicks forward towards the Drows gut, a secondary Katana manifesting within the Kensais grasp so as to effectively extend his reach so the feat is possible. Insult to attempted injury comes when simple force of will draws all of the Kensais weapons back to his vicinity, the twenty four scatter swords resuming their 'roles' as wing like appendages. Minus one, anyways, given the vampires oddly feline-like tail curls around one of them, and promptly swings out in an effort to carve through Trissaynes legs. Its the distinct advantage to having weapons that are effectively weightless when within your 'grasp', whether its your hands, or otherwise.

Trissayne upon feeling the impact of his fragmented sword with the armored arm realeases his grip upon the hilt allowing it to be thrown into the air . spotting the tail coming at him he jumps up as it soars under his feet but completly unaware of the 'empty' hand coming at him. Seeing it to late he braces for the impact the best he could, Having it catch him in the side he is sent sprawling through the air. Triss lands on his back and slides up against the base of the throne. Summoning his blade once again as well as a few others from the various guard stands He take one in hand and Sends the rest shooting out towards his new foe, surrounding him from all directions. to make sure that if every blade hits there wont be any pieces bigger and a small chunk of copper.

Kasyr can't help the faint chesire-cat like grin that forms across his lips at the sudden explosion of steel within his vicinity. Barely able to spare the time for a faint nod, the vampires attention promptly skirts towards the floor, the Revenant using every ounce of celerity contained within him to slam both the katanas' within his grasp into the floor, a kneeling position adopted. That simple singular motion serves as the catalyst to what ensues, Gospels twenty four 'broodlings' dissipating into faint wisps of darkness, if only to explode out of the ground in a tight defensive cocoon of crossed Katana's. At this point, Trissaynes barrage starts to impact against the improvised barrier, colliding against the combination of cursed Obsidian 'steel' and the metallic underlining within the Revenants trenchcoat. For the most part, it serves well to weather the storm, though the nature of the projectiles that Trissayne had favoured does in fact serve him well- the occasional chunk of metal managing to find holes within the Kensais defensive network and burrow into undead flesh. Unforunately, Kasyr hasn't been idle within those brief moments- the Revenant having instead chosen to exert his will through the various blades spread about him. After all, even before Trissaynes ballistic barrage comes to an end, those blades around the Kensai begin to multiply -again-, Kasyr having effectively extended his ability to cause each of Gospels manifestations to form a dozen 'broodlings' through the secondary conduits, I.e. the cocoon of swords within the vampires vicinity. The result is an inhuman screeching of steel and stone as each of the twenty four buried blades abruptly forms another twelve, the likes of which emerge in a wave towards Trissaynes position- seeking to skewer him within the rapidly created field of innumerable swords.

Trissayne attemps to wave the swords off and not seeing any real change in the flight pattern. He thorws his sword as one final attempt before slamming his hands tyo the gorund to try to forge another wall in time, before flipping over the throne to use it as an additional shield to the impeading attack.

Kasyr , considering he's still in the delightful protective cocoon offered by the -massive- array of swords in the room, doesn't exactly need to move. The sword that's thrown at him simply plunks off the shell of steel in his vicinity.

~KASYR WINS~

1-0

Kasyr , were he in the teaching mood, might have pointed out the particular vulnerability in Trissayne's defensive measures. As it is, the abrupt and violent explosion of swords that rip out from the ground beneath hi, and from the back of the throne- serve admirably to get this point across. Fortunately, for Trissayne, the swords are fairly quick to retract, the withdrawal of the Katanas within Kasyr's hands serving to effectively precipitate the unanimous dissapearance of the rest. Unforunately, this simply clears the path for the Kensai, whose body is already beginning to become covered in a violent sparking aura. Barely a moment has passed before a fist sized portion of the Revenants arm explodes into a peculiar combination of bleed and electrical sparks- the ionized flesh serving as the cost to the particular ability that's invoked. An ability that sends the Kensai surging across the room in a bolt of literal lightning, the surreal speed allowing to catch Trissayne before he even has the opportunity to collapse from where he had been skewered against the chair. Without hesistation, Kasyr slams Gospel into the drows' gut- before the secondary purpose of this particular ability is invoked, the ionized flesh upon the hybrids arm continuing to expand as the two are violently carried ceiling ward in a surge of electricity. Trissayne, durable or not, is going to have a delightful time of slamming into and -through- the ceiling of Fort Frostmaw, as well as having to deal with the friction of moving at effectively the speed of lightning, and the ambient 'pleasure' of having said energy coursing through his body. And lastly? Lastly he has to deal with the abrupt surge downwards- as the Revenant is quite readily sending them crashing down towards the waterfall at the base of the cliffs. After all, whilst the waters surface tension is going to be broken, thus preventing Trissayne from dying outright, he's still going to be skewered, and drowning. An absolutely ideal situation to restart negotiations.
