Duel:Kasyr v Pyoshia

From HollowWiki

Stormy Sea It has not been too long since you departed Rynvale but the sea is once again alive with a fierce storm. Freezing cold rain slams down onto the deck, seemingly never ending. The rain produces a sound that almost rivals the thunderous crackles in the gray cloud filled sky. The crew advises everyone to stay clear of the railings as foam covered waves of dark water slam the ships sides threatening to drag anybody away with them. The ship rocks from side to side bobbing up and down in the harsh conditions, causing you to begin to feel very ill. The ship slowly begins to turn but not back to where it set out from, but finally west, you begin to wonder if this is the terrible price mortals have to pay for getting closer to Selen island than the gods would like them to be...

================================

Kasyr has more or less abducted Pyoshi, having taken advantage of her brief appearance outside of the fog Forest to quite literally tackle her- using that brief bit of contact to effectively get her out of range of her allies. Doing his best to hold onto the squirming mass that is the corrupted dryad while she's staggered, the Kensai gathers as much speed as he possible can- before simply hurling her. Small and light as she is, he's effectively trying to send her falling and flailing for a nearby boat. He'll of course follow, ending in a float above the railing of the front of the ship- that blasphemous broadsword of his slung over his shoulder.

Pyoshia hurtled towards the boat was an unprescedented speed and before collison her vines reach out from the bag to grasp whatever it is they can get a hold of. The center mast is caught onto and soon she began to scale all the way to top upon the flora spider legs. Once in the crows next the dryad searched for her captor and once found her spell is quickly weaved. The vines from her body become imbued with the dark energies they're famous for and soon surge from her form and head towards the base of the deck. Taking on a life of their own they form into a small golem of sorts, the likes of which seems to have formed a sort of axe for a hand. They rush towards Kasyr in an attempt to distract him, slashing and cutting at whatever it might hit. Thorns all along the egde of the weapon so that blood might spill. As the vines do their obscene routine, the dryads mind searches for the parasites upon the ship, ants and bugs to come from the floor boards. A small army of fifty of so insects begin to crawl up around him, each to work upon latching onto him and continuing their ascent. As they hit waist level they would work inside the pant line, dark energy to over whelm them and force their small bodies to explode into a horrificly gooey mess. The curroptive nature that was within them would latch out around his legs, working to cut off circuation and movement so that he might be forced to use em or lose em...

Kasyr is still -hovering- over the edge of the ship, an action allowed by the continued existance of his wings. Thus, upon the the approach of Pyoshias living tapestry of vegetation and darkness, the Kensai takes the obvious route and simply swerves backwards, earning himself a pair of shallow cuts along his chest. Pyoshias insidious insect assault thereby goes unnoticed, that assault which had already been doomed due to the Kensais airbrone status now further foiled. Moreover, the few moments the Kensai has gained by means of his evasion are quite happily put to use, the Revenants shunting some of the power that resides within his form into Gospel- the broadswords rapidly glowing hot from a heat rising within it. With a sibilant hiss, from both evaporating rain and cursed weapon, Kasyr effectively flies forward- the supernaturally dense weapon sent to plow forward through Pyoshias abomination as the Revenant flies forth. Whether or not the unnatural amounts of kinetic form and supernatural flame now licking of Gospel fell the beast matters not, Kasyr simply dragging the weapon in his wake as he effectively severs the boats mast in half. With Pyoshia effectively in free fall, it leaves her far too vulnerable for the Kensai to then simple fly straight up- his intended goal being to bury his blackened blade into the barky beasts breast, if only so he can (with luck and success) effectively try and lance her down into the deck of the ship and -through- it.

Pyoshia watched as the insects were of no use a thought in which had completely eluded her. The loss of the attack being something which forced Kasyr to severe her vines and then the mast she was upon. As the kensai's flew towards her Pyoshia's mind had already been to work, a seagul to swoop in and pick her up by the head. Just before the weapon was to impale her, the result being the scraping of her rib and the continued descent of the mast. If one could fight in the air, so could the other and Pyoshia's seagulls became three, one on each arm and one upon the the thorny rose bush that adorned her head. With the thoughts to extend further, soon the flock would double, three more to join the fray though these were quickly seen to plummet into the sea and be lost from sight. With all but those that assisted her in flying lost from sight the dryads attention was focused back upon the revanant. The attack was this time launched from her arm, a series of thorns launched in rapid succesion like that of several bee stings to fly forth. The thorns were infused with her magic as per the usual, the spikes to each be aimed for his wings and should any hit the power with them worked to force them through his wings leaving several holes behind. The magic however was two fold, the second effect to be that of an earlier attack, for as traces were left behind in the wings his body would begin to feel heavier, numb perhaps, the hope behind the attack that should enough become inserted he would fall into the depths of Davy Jone's locker.

Kasyr is rather grateful for the innate bit of maneuverability his wings provide, one final flap of his wings used to at once send him hurtling towards the wraithen druid- and shield his center mass with her wings. An ironic action really, as whilst it draws portions of his wings out of the line of fire and ensures that no shots stray towards his body, it still serves Pyoshias purpose- that wicked weaving of dark energy spreading through the Kensais wings like wildfire. Alas, the Wraithen druid unforunately still has Kasyr barreling towards her- and with one hand free, there's very little to stop him effectively closing that last bit of distance- his arm to be looped about her room to effectively keep her pinned beneath him as they both plummet towards the deck. Hence, she's now placed in the precarious position of having the Revenants body mass force keep her pinned long enough that they both plummet into the ships floor- The Kensai effectively taking this entire time to try and slam Gospel into Pyoshias stomach again and again.

Pyoshia watched as the arm wrapped around her small frame, the birds suddenly to find themselves without the small females weight upon their bodies. As the plummeting commences, Pyoshia's mind scoured for a way out of her current situation, her body wriggling to avoid him easy access to impale her stomach with the blade. As they continued to fall down towards the boat below the birds from prior that plunged into the sea resurfance and fly towards the descending duo. Their beaks drop from them squirmy fish intent upon landing on Kasyr's back, jellyfish stingers aimed to shock him upon landing. These animals are sadly not worked into with any magic, instead having their own thoughts. The continued drop in altitude brings them closer to wooden surface and the eventual struggiling of the dryad becomes wasted as Gospel meets it's mark and goes clear through both sides of her stomach. A shriek was made, her body to react in kind, as she painfully warps her own body into an attack, the nature grown dryads form to work attempt and grow around the injury. The growth attempted to latch around Kasyr's arm, crushing down upon his hand and breaking bone and limb beneath.

Kasyr is -grateful- as anything for being undead in those few frantic falling moments, the unpleasent toxins carried within the Jellyfishs sting an exquisite pain- but not enough to Dislodge the Kensai. It's in fact the fall that does far more to the Revenant, a harsh cough exiting his lips as the odd 'gravitational' force that Pyoshia wields effectively makes his tumble a bit more unpleasent than he had wagered for. The dryads offensive is merely another insult upon injury, the sinister shifting her body engages in quite effectively engulfing the vampires arm. Teeth grit into a feral snarl as the bone creaks, and flesh shreds beneath the tension exerted- and yet, Pyoshia has made a grave mistake. Coiled around the kensais blade as it is- Kasyr simply forces his will into two particular actions. The first is the effective dispersal of even more magical energy within his sword- the fiery energies it once contained now fueled to an all new fury, effectively poised to devour the corrupted dryad from the inside out. And the second? The second comes in the form of large patchs of flesh erupted into blood and electrical energy, the tainted flesh along the Kensais back being consumed so that Kasyr can once more Invoke those abilities of the style of 'swordsmanship' he developed. Pyoshia, poor Dryad, thus barely has any warning before this channeled energy is effectively consumed in a lightning charged surge forward- the Technique itself generating the forward velocity that vampire and Dark Dryad will be rushing forward at. And whilst Kasyrs' sacrifice will protect him from the kinetic force enduring by impacting into the boat (and plowing through it)- and the ensuing friction from skimming along the waters surface in a sparking mass, the dryad does not share this same protection.

Pyoshia 's insides began to burn as Kasyr's energy fueled themselves through the sword and into her. The second effect being that of the lighting speed which smashed her into the ship and onto the water. The grave mistake of speed however to be trippeda nd with Pyoshia's last bit of strength she heaved her shoulder downwards to do just that. The limb was aimed to collide with the water and should the tactic suceed the two would most likely be violently thrown from one another, the part of her wrapped around Kasyr to be ripped away with him. The fire inside her would be removed from the descent into the waters below and while that would be a further matter to resolve, living through this attack seemed more important in the present.

KASYR WINS 3-0

Kasyr ||The problem with ifs in a situation is that occasionally, every so often, things go -terribly wrong. In this particular case, the if occurs the very moment Pyoshia impacts into the waters surface, and Kasyr starts to tip forward. Whether or not the wraith is aware of it or not, the Kensai is currently 'enduring' a peculiar form of time dilation- the likes of which is the only reason he can effectively attack or manuever at these speeds. Those thread bare moments, already prolonged unnaturally, find themselves even further exagerrated as the Revenants wings abruptly -explode- in a sanguine spray of gore and sparks. However deftly the vampire was moving before doesn't even compare this peculiar set of movements- the blade that had been within Pyoshias chest reconfiguring itself to the shape of a Gauntlet, the likes of which is wrenched out of her chest. Likely, the dryad will only be dimly aware of the Kensais gloved hand slamming into her face as he proceeds to use the unnatural momentum he's directing to effectively drag her across the waters surface until she loses consciousness, or reaches the beach. On the bright side, They are travelling in style, and they'll certain be in there in a flash.

Pyoshia was skipped along the water in a most cruel fashion. Her insides continued to burn, unable to put them out with the waters below. Each collision with the water put her into a further unconcious state, until finally she was unable to remain within the realm of the awaken.. Her body went limp in Kasyr's grasp and her fate was now in the Kensai's hands.
