One of the simpler cakelog variants, the chocolate in the cake’s taste is enhanced with the addition of a shot of espresso. It is usually presented in two ways: with chocolate chips added into the cake itself and a caramel drizzle on top or chocolate frosting in the middle of the roll and delicately piped on top in various ways. Specific types of fruit jam (ones that go well with chocolate) may also be offered as a filling.
