- Gregor Phantasm was among the most impressive of artists to emerge from the Bards Colleges, but he was also one of the most mysterious. It was said that he was born disfigured and throughout his life people were unable to see past his disfigurement, and dismissed the artist’s talented wax sculptures. Gregor is believed to have committed suicide over his lack of success, right there in his Wax Works Studio surrounded by his figures.
A month later, a con man bought the Wax Works Studio and presented Gregor's own creations as his own. Within a short time the man grew rich off the works of Gregor Phantasm, and sought to sell the creations one after the other, to the highest bidders. On the night of his first sale, rumor had that two of the buyers had been found dead within their homes and shops, and that their blood was found pouring from the eyes of figures they had bought. In the wake of the news, the con man orders the Wax Works Studio to make new models, but these were not the same as Gregor's original wax figures. Sales ran low, people were not interest in this poorer quality, they wanted a masterpiece to be sold. And the greedy owner obliged, selling a wax display to a wealthy lady. The newspaper printed her disappearance not a day later. In her home they found plenty of blood, but no body, and only the bloody grimace of the art she had purchased and her blood pouring from its eyes.
Before the rumors could put him out of business, the con man did what he could, and decided to auction off every piece of the original Gregor Phantasm wax figures. That night on the auction floor, screams of every kind of anguish could be heard coming from the place of auction, and then silence. The following morning the Cenril Guard entered to find the place drenched in blood, but not a single body could be found, only the frozen figures of wax. Wax Works Studios was boarded up, and a fence erected to prevent anyone from venturing forth. The wax figures were shipped in a crate out west. To this day that, the studio in Cenril is still considered to be among Cenril’s most haunted. The crate of wax figures had been lost... until now. You see behind you a broken crate, and from it emerges a wax figure with blood pouring out of its eyes. It bloody smiles curls up towards you.
