"Hello" and "Good Day" are a few things this Half drow says that set him apart from other full drows. He was born to an elf and a drow, a unlikely pair if he does say so himself. His father was an elf and his mother was a drow. He was raised by both parents and they decided to raise him to be like his mother who was a drow master assassin. His father was quite the peculiar man because he experimented with dark magics along with the aid of his wife. His experimentation caused a freak accident to occur when Xelar was about 25 years old. At the time he was still under the tutelage of his mother to become an assassin. But this accident in the lab caused a portal of swirling dark matter to form in the middle of their lab and it swallowed everyone including poor Xelar into it. When Xelar next awoke he was lying next to a giant tree with no one else to be seen. He also seemed to have acquired some new traits such as mental control over shadows and the ability to summon his own dark portals. The only other things he knew was that his name was Xelar and that he needed to get something to eat. So he walked to the nearby town of Kelay, found his way to the tavern and ordered a few biscuits and a glass of milk. When he got his order he ate and drank his food and drink. He then proceeded to reach for some money in his pocket but found there to be none, so he worked of his debt and went on with his life still not knowing where his family had gone. He then decided to get a job and remembering his skills as an assassin he applied on the public boards as an assassin for hire many times but to no avail. But his obsessive checking of the boards was not in vain as he found a note saying that there were positions open in Rynvale for many different occupations including Blacksmith. So he applied for a job and was interviewed. He got the job as the town blacksmith but was put on a probation as he did not know much of the craft. So, in order to fix this issue he inquired the great Hammerhand known as Kain if he may apprentice under him. Kain agreed but said that the training would have to wait as he was quite busy himself. This pretty much catches up to the present, so if you want more you will have to wait.
