Slit was born in the city of Kelay and was trained in the traditional fashion as a ranger. After he became an adult he traveled the known world and soon came upon a clan called the Forsaken Knights, wishing to learn more about the culture outside of the forest he joined them and began to study their ways. He began to build strong friendships with others within the clan namely the elder vampire known simply as the GodofChaos and another ranger named Lasher whom Slit took under his wing to teach the ranger arts to.
Eventually in time Slit became disheartened with the Forsaken Knights and left their order and decided to return to Kelay and proceed to have a political career helping out his homeland. Their was an election that year in Kelay and Slit defeated his opponent Juliette by a landslide by promising to return the Elves to a position of prominence in the land again. Whith Slit elected as Mayor he used his influence in the following campaigns to have his friends GoC and Lasher placed on the two city council seats of Kelay thus granting them total political control.
With Kelay solidified Slit began the Clan called the Cateran Rebels he had gathered locals under his banner and built a Grand Castle on the east side of Kelay and he also built a lone tower on the west side of kelay to bolster the defenses. With these massive engineering works many came to Slit and swore their loyalty to him and his armies grew.As the population of Kelay expanded there came a problem with the limited space. Thus he decided that he should
gather more lands to provide for his growing people.
He gathered an army and marched south into the Enchanted Kingdom. The local pixies fought against him, but eventually Slit saw an opening in the lines and charged through and captured the Queen. He then forced the Queen at the point of a sword to sign the surrender of her kingdom, although he did grant the kingdom some autonomy allowing the Queen to remain on the throne, but she was now his subject and he left a few of his men to be his representatives with the queen and to "watch and protect her"
This was a violent time in the history of hollow known as the 2nd dark age and there were many clans that divided the land and constantly fought each other. Slit believed that he could stop the chaos and anarchy by uniting the clans under one banner. He set out with noble intentions and soon brought all the clans of the Sage Forest under his command and he appointed some of the most skillful as his Generals. his generals at this time were GoC, Lasher, Baron, Jade, Jacklin, and Morvious.
After each campaign he would replenish his numbers with the remnants of the defeated forces and would wait for the next harvest season to continue his campaign to unite the land. Decades passed and eventually the Cateran had taken control over all the lands west of the milous plains and there the world was divided between the Cateran owning the west and the Forsaken Knights owning the East.
The Forsaken Knights attacked first laying siege to Larket and forcing Slit to commit the vast majority of his armies to holding the city. The battle was fought long and hard and victory seemed to be within grasp of defeating the Forsaken Knights, but out of nowhere two of Slit's Generals Jade and Lasher betray him and open the gates of Larket and allow the Forsaken Knights to storm the city. When Slit recieved word of their betrayal he went into a rage, how could two of his most trusted Generals betray him on the brink of victory.
After the defeat at Larket the races of hollow rebelled against the Cateran Rebels and formed under the leadership of Alexander. A Rebellion is fought and the Cateran lose control over all the lands except for Kelay and the castle there. The defense of Kelay was formidable as this was the center of the Cateran Empire and the people their loved Slit. Alexander laid siege to the Cateran castle and eventually Slit took his remaining forces and charged forth from the gates. Slit had a foreign guard force of giants that he kept within his castle. The charge caught Alexander by surprise and his armies were crushed and Slit thought for a moment that he would keep his castle and even if it was only for a little while he did build an empire. After Alexanders defeat the Forsaken Knights decided to take advantage of the badly beaten Cateran and invaded. Not having any more strength to resist, Slit was forced to retreat from the field to his tower on the west side of Kelay and their Solaris and Kaizer challenged Slit. They together defeated Slit and placed him in chains and dragged him through Kelay boasting of their victory over the would be Emperor. After they took enjoyment in tourtoring him the placed him on a raft in Cenril and set him out to sea and let the ocean decide his fate. Slit left the realm of hollow in exile and knew that he could not return until a day when none would remeber him.
After Slit returned he saw that the world had vastly changed and most what he knew had disappeared and that a new world had come. He set out to learn about this world and came upon a most curious drow. She constantly asked him questions as she wanted to know more about him and eventually he told her who he was and she vowed that she would follow him and help him in any way that she could. He then proclaimed the drow Shalamar to be his first follower and that she should go out and find more followers and bring them to him so that he could begin plans to rebuild the world in the image of its glorious past. Within only a few days several had flocked to Slit and had sworn their loyalty to him.
With his new army having formed around him he studied the lands and came to the conclusion that the Nameless Desert was the place to begin to build. He traveled there and upon finding the old castle in the southern sands he began to to build a village, with wells and irrigation.
After a couple of months of building a group of Nomad raiders began to assault his supplies and camp reguarly and eventually forced Slit to take his people and relocate. He talked with the steward of Larket and he welcomed Slit and his people into the city with open arms. Here is the city of Slit's daughter Jacklin he could keep improving the lives of his people and slowly grow his power within the realm.
