Arrival in Kelay
I have travelled many lands; at least the flashbacks of places far different from here and from each other seem to tell me so. I have fought many battles; at least I bear many scars that seem to attest so.
I awoke in Kelay mere weeks ago, in a sacred shrine near the centre of town. I have no recollection of where I had been before arriving here, but I feel a sense of urgency - the necessity of a quest. I also mourn the loss of my closest friend and ally, the snow leopard known as Shadow. She has shared my travels for as long as I can remember and I can think of no reason for her to leave my side, unless she could no longer follow me.
My strength and powers seem diminished here. While my body is recovering well, I do not feel comfortable yet within my own skin, I feel weak and vulnerable. But there is much to be done in this land and so I will strengthen myself day by day in order to face the challenges that lie ahead. There is darkness around us and within and it must be battled against at all costs.
