Talk:Stat War '10

From HollowWiki

On the Stat War day will it be one on one in specified pairings, or battle royale?

Would be interesting to hear the details of how the battle will take place, if that's not secret.

Not secret. It's going to just be a big battle...every man for himself. It takes entirely too long to match up each player one by one, wait for them to actually show up, and unleash them. This way it can be just a mess of fun chaos. - Jack

So how exactly will this go, and what of healers? Once a person is defeated in the stat war are they then able to heal and then return to battle? I think the specifics should be made clear so that strategies may be made for the battles. - Aranhil

I'll put this once on here and hopefully people can figure it out. Only one healer, pick whoever you want on your team, and they can heal until they run out of healing juice (whatever you want to call it) and then they're pretty much dead meat. There will be no healing herbs within the field of battle so when you're done healing, you're done. From there it's just hitting until you're dead. That's honestly as much explanation as needs to be made about this. And if some of you haven't been involved in a statting war before, well, don't worry. A two-year-old could do it. - Jack

Just one question from me. Is escaping (i.e. to self-heal) going to be an auto-DQ? ~Satocat

Erm, is this going to be like fighting mobs, but each other instead? o.o --Yiki 06:02, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Self-Healing is not going to be allowed. But you do have one healer, of course, so strategy about him/her is key! And it is going to be like fighting mobs, but just actual players. - Jack

Is the Healer fair game to be attacked? If so, once attacked do they have to remain in battle until one duelist is dead? Also, are any and all weapons allowed?

I would assume myself that healer is fair game to attack-which is why its key to not let the other team know who you are using for your healer! What about with mages who rely on magical attacks? Will we get to use herbs if we have them, or have to resort to physical attacks once we are out of mana. Are we allowed to rest, providing we arnt attacked while resting? --Yiki 21:18, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Tiph...you aren't even in Stat-War. Is Thea making you ask? I think some of you are over-thinking this thing wayyyy too much. So I'm gonna put it all out there and hopefully there will be no more questions. I'm a very simplistic person so all these questions are a bit unusual.

Each side will have one healer and when the healer is out of MP/Stam then they're pretty much dead meat. Someone has to pay the price. There are ZERO/NIL/NONE/ZIP/NADA herbs allowed on the playing field. Even if you're a magic user. You use all your crap, tough luck. Otherwise we'll be here for hours. No resting, running, bawling, or anything on the playing field. You die, you're dead. No running to a healer. No attacking anyone on your team. (And I can tell when you're resting as an Admin so don't even try it or I'll DQ your entire team.) Any weapon can be used. All weapons can be used. You can use your mom as a weapon and it wouldn't bother me. Now hopefully you all will understand it better.

Nah, no one is asking me to ask questions, I'm just the inquisitive type and considering this is basically going to be a complete numbers game, whoever has the better strategy is going to win. Generally having the best strategy involves knowing the rules, so I'd rather see that than a team get DQed for not understanding the rules clearly.

Aww, I wanted to bawl.... jk. >.> What about waiting? To regain stamina during battle? >.> --Yiki 23:01, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
