RP:Zalera meets Riotka

From HollowWiki

Zalera appears from the north.

Zalera looked at you.

Zalera bows slightly to the dragon. "Hello, Mr. Member of the Claw."

Riotka looked at Zalera.

Zalera looked at you.

Riotka returns the bow, "Nice to see you again Mr.Vampire."

Riotka then adds with a quirked smile. "And my proper title is Master Riotka, like a doctor I have dedicated my life to my art." adding a nod in to add emphasis, but his tone playful friendly.

Zalera chuckles. "Like wise," the vampire says, looking over his armor a little. "Prekleks giving you any trouble lately?"

Zalera he smirks. "Oh, excuse me -master- Riotka, what art might that be?"

Riotka smiles wildly as he tries to not burst into laughter, "Hardly, In fact I am soon to complete the set, I ordered a new helmet just today." he pauses a moment. "Their numbers are the only annoying factor in my mind." he smiles again relishing the challenge. Riotka say Bushido, the way of the sword.

Zalera smiles. "Ah, the way of the sword. So you follow the Path of the Warrior do you? Interesting, I walk on the Road of Blood, myself."

Riotka nods, "I follow my path, that is all I know, Dragons learn to fight early, and my youngest memories are of being trained, I don't remember why." he looked back to the Vampire, "And what is the road of blood entail?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.

Zalera grins at the dragon as his hand goes to his sword in a theactical mannor, not ment as a threat of any kind. "The Road of Blood is the path only for one who loves fighting over everything else. Much like you, my whole life has been devoted in the arts of killing."

Riotka looks down as he ponders his reply, "Nods, Other dragons think much like you," pausing as he looks back up." But it is why we fight that is the interesting answer...for most I believe they know not the answer. What about you, Do you know why you fight Master Zalera."

Zalera smirks as he listens to the dragon. "I guess I am not like others." he says, "I don't need a reason to fight. The chance to fight a great oppenent is a good enough reason to reach for your blade." He pauses, "..But some fight for glory, or for power, and others, respect. Some fight for a god or a porpose, or a kingdom or empire. And some...some fight for the pure joy of battle. What about you? Do you know what you fight for?"

Riotka looks down at his hand, then with the other he takes a hold of the pendent around his neck, "I once was asked some thing like that by a great general, It was....the last time we spoke." he looked up from his hand and put on a fake smile. "I fight because I know what I want, and Hesitation is you life slipping threw you fingers, and only the victorious are granted tomorrow." he said with a nod.

Zalera eyes light up at his words, even if he could see through his fake smile. "I can understand where you are coming from." says the vampire, his eyes falling to the pendent. "Those who are blind and without purpose find themselves in an early grave. Hesitation, indeed, is the mark of death."

Riotka sighs, "Once one has accepted their own end, I think it much easier to do the things we do." he finally let go the Preklek pendent, and let it dangle freely once again. "I have taken some of the brightest and best warriors...loved and feared by many to the grave. I still stand awaiting the next Prek challenge. The Point is we take the most beautiful things from this world." his tone a bit mono-toned now.

Zalera raises a brow at the dragon, his arms moving to cross over his chest. "I don't know about that. I see beauty all around me, and I have never raised my sword against it. I do not thinnk that the weak show any beauty at all. Something so useless is unattractive in my eyes.

Riotka sighs again and smiles, "Like you said it is all around us, the people we slay are artist and fathers, poets and painters, and I use my art to consume them all, Rather it be in the pursuit of power, or not." leaning back against the wall. "What is beauty and what is right.....Both in the eyes of the beholder." Riotka smiles, "I think that we can both agree."

Zalera nods at the dragon as he listens. "Indeed. Everything in this world can only be judged by the beholder. The rules and laws of life and beauty are all nothing once you peel back everything. Only us immortals can truly see the world for what it is."

Riotka smiles, "Some lessons can only be learned, and not taught. I believe it is the most temporary of things that tend to be the most beautiful, No offense intended to the sun or the stars, but aged beauty can become rather boring. This is why immortals are never ceasing with their dealings with mortals."

Zalera smiles to himself as he turns away. "I agree. I offen reach for the soft touch of a mortal. They remind me of what I lost." He makes his way for the exit and turns his head back to look at him. "Happy hunting, Master Riotka, I hope we meet again soon." And with that the vampire exits into the cold night. Zalera exits north.

Riotka waves, "Farewell Master Zalera, I assure you, we shall meet again. I can tell." Riotka turned back from the entrance. As a blue bird with a scroll arrives.
