Larket Town Square

The square, in stark contrast to its previous appearance, is beautiful and well maintained. Streets from the north, south, and west, cobbled smoothly, encircle a small area of land here, where grass and flowers grow. A small stone gazebo sits in the center of the square, raised a fair distance from the ground by marble steps, so that the structure can serve as a stage for public announcements. A board is fastened to its side, pulled from the wreckage of the old square. Vendors line the roads, selling a variety of wares ranging from food to clothes. East of the square stands a sturdy building of stone, its entrance guarded by armed men in Larket's livery.

Stryker stands in the midst of the bustling town square. The massive minotaur conversing with a vendor as he examines her wares, a variety of flowers and herbs. The creature seems to be in a much calmer mood than his previous visit within the cities walls. Passerby all stop to examine the male as whispers can be heard of gossip of the minotaur and his tribe. Despite some rather ill words being tossed around he pays little attention, instead choosing to stay out of trouble and continue with the vendor, lifting flowers to his damp nostrils and giving a large sniff as a smile spills across his face.

Javier makes his way into the square, the paladin's eyes narrowed, the man, obviously pissed the hell off. He hears someone make a comment about the minotaur, and stops, lifts that loud mouthed son of a bitch off his feet and says. " Watch your mouth fool, lest you find it removed." And tosses the man on his ass, saying. " Apologize, and get out of my sight."

Styker's ears perk at the sound of the paladin tossing the man about. Turning around just in time to have his emerald greens watch the victim crash to the ground below. Stryker places the flower in his hand back on the vendor's cart before moving toward Javier and offering a smile. Falling to one knee and lowering his head in a bow the beast speaks. "Sir Paladin." His head raises to face the man before him. "I appreciate the sentiment but such things won't be needed." His gaze falls to the rude one and a smirk become visible. "The opinion of a fool is nothing to me." Picking himself up he provides a curious glance to the paladin. "Forgive my intrusion, but it your aura is giving a dark vibe." A deep inhale is given with closed eyes as the minotaur takes in the essence of the man before him. "Something is troubling you?"

Javier raises his gaze up to look at the minotaur, as he scoffs at the foolish man who insulted him. " You are right, he is not worth taking my anger out upon." Then, twisting about, the man returns his attention to Stryker, as he says. " Yes, once again, the enemy has made their way into the city, and attacked my fiance. How they get in, is beyond me, byt they seem to do so at will, and with little to no resistance, which is odd, to say the least."

Stryker narrows his eyes and provides a confused expression as the paladin details a summary of recent events. His teeth grind for a moment in thought before shaking his head lightly. "Who, might I ask, is this enemy? You claim it is a mystery of how they entered the city, but if I'm not mistaken it was clearly the bridge to the south. Were no guards on duty?" Stryker allows another moment of thought, placing his hands upon his hips and looking around the square. "There has been little commotion in the forest, apart from the drow occupation." He feels the urge to question Javier on the status of the dark elf he had been looking for a few weeks ago, but retains it for a better time. "Alas, I am sorry to hear of your beloved. Is she alive?"

Javier said to Stryker, "The bridge is under heavy guard. With magical wards in place, and a mixture of soldiers, rangers and knights that it would take a small force to break through the lines. This enemy, Alareik the lycan, Desparrow the traitor have commited crimes against larket and its people. And so help me Arkhen, I will find them, and offer up the ultimate justice."

Stryker nods at the explination and can't help but pull his lips back to reveal a snarl at the mention of a Lycanthrope. "Do you have a description of their apperance? Perhaps a poster? I'd be happy to inform my kin to be on the watch out for the outlaws in the forest. Though I cannot promise anything more."

Javier said to Stryker, "There are numerous posters, detailed rather well, all over larket."

Stryker offers a grunt and bows his head once more to the paladin before him. "Very well. If I come across either of the fiends, I'll bring them in." A look of disgust falls upon the minotaur's complexion yet again as he turns to spit. "Though the lycan might not be breathing by the time he get's here." Stryker turns to move back to the initial vendor he'd been conversing with in the first place and goes on about his business.
