RP:Two Freaks

From HollowWiki

Tyler sits alone at the edge of the Kelay Way. The blue-haired man busy devouring a ripe green apple with his back propped against an aging oak. The traffic is heavier than most days, odd little creatures scurrying up and down the way making their way into Kelay or outward to Cenril. Those light caramel hues of his dance around manically following anyone he finds of interest as he tries his hardest to pick apart the mental psyche of the strangers by site alone. Of course, the man earns a few confused looks himself. Garbed in baggy cargo shorts, a sleeveless wolf-fur lined vest, over sized boots and gloves with bright blue hair and a tattoo'd seeve on his left arm replicating the night sky of Hollow he doesn't quite blend in to the crowd. So much so that a teenaged human feels the need to snicker in Tyler's direction and make an off color joke about the man, prompting him to do what any decent man would. Without missing a beat, Tyler rises to his feet and pulls back to toss the remainder of his apple directly at the boys head. The contact emitting a loud "pop!" as juice and apple bits explode around the boys skull. A wicked smile forming across Tyler's visage as he offers a coy wink and insulting kiss in the boys direction, sending him fleeing for his life.

Ynhaldei inhales the afternoon air as they traveled toward the east. Next stop would be Cenril, not really sure if such would be the best idea though, Rumor has it that the bridge is not the sturdiest of all, wondering if the wyrm's weight would cause any... delays. Sighing as if that is the case, they would need to be in Larket or Vailkrin to settle camp, The small sun burnt elf stares at her map as her giant desert wyrm plows the ground, sound of people screaming, running from their lives were audible as the beast makes it way through the earth while hauling the circus against its back. After all this time, she finally stopped caring about complaints of destruction as the beast moves, it was their fault for being in the way... it is the city's fault for not having strong roads, reasons like that made her sane long enough to keep the annoying people out of her business. Sighing as she pulled the reins to stop, "I'll just check something..." signaling the crew to take a short break, dismounting from the beast, thinking of asking directions.

Tyler's satisfaction from assaulting the youth was quick to be replaced with curiosity as the screams of Kelay Citizens pierced his ear drums. A quick jolt of surprise before he turns to face Ynhaldei and her traveling show of freaks. Raising his right brow in an arc as he examines the scene the man can't help but find himself amused with the entire situation. He spots the elven woman and can see her distress as clear as the massive wyrm. His shoulders lift into a swift shrug of reassurance to himself as he advances toward Ynhaldei's position, intent on helping her but only after causing a ruckus. The youthful man's features are quick to change as his illusions go to work, pulling his flesh into a wrinkled mess as he takes on the apperance of a Sage elder, long ears pointing from his long now brown hair as he yells out to her. "What the hell do you think your doin' lass!? You can't bring that abomination through here! You young idiots are always causing trouble in my towns! I outta' cut ya' a new one!" He bellows as a hand is quick to snatch a single kunai hidden beneath the elders robe before thrusting it towards Ynhaldei's throat.

Ynhaldei didn't even glanced at the old man as she walks toward the scared crowd, but as soon as the blade glints through the afternoon light, the small elf slowly turns her head just in time to see the blade being pulled out from the man's robe, logically anyone should either stop and evade or atleast attempt to protect oneself but Ynhaldei didn't even pause her steps as she moved closer and closer to the old man, as soon as she knew the blade would make contact with if she doesn't stop, she start to flex her body backward, using her skills as an acrobat before she became a circus master, cleanly dodging the man's attack, while her staff slides from her sleeve, normally it's length would not fit within her clothing, the elf took it and point it at the man's wrist while she push herself up, either wanting to push his hand away or knock the blade off. "Is it wrong to ask directions old man?" Frowning at him as she stared at his eyes, there is something wrong with him and she wasn't sure about it... illusions is one of her skills and she tend to wonder if things are real or not. "Do tell me though, Who are you to decide if Midnight is an abomination? Don't you think on that beast mind, he is also calling you as one because you are not like his kind, Yes?"

Tyler finds himself disappointed at the attack is so easily deflected and his hand pushed away from it's planned destination. As the elven woman debates the true definition of being an abomination, The man begins to grow bored and his illusions would swiftly fall to the ground around his feet shattering into a thousands tiny specks of mana. Left standing before Ynhaldei now is the unimpressed figure that is Tyler. He shrugs again as he cuts a glance to the beast before sticking his tongue out mockingly at it before turning back to the woman before him. "Perhaps. But I also find that I care little for the thoughts of others, including a large beast." His eyes narrow as he gives Ynhaldei the once over before providing a seemingly friendly smile to her, "Directions, eh? Where are you heading?"

Ynhaldei cannot help but smile and laugh at the man's antics as he attempts to insult the wyrm, "You are funny.. I like you already." Nodding at him as she said, "The idea of abomination is anything different from what is normal... being normal is stated by what is viewed as normal by many... I don't think you also care about what they think, Yes? those who are... like me, are the ones who are truly free. Do you agree?" The small elf nods and takes a step away from the man, not wanting to invade his personal space, "Cenril... though I am not really sure if I should go there... Will the bridge be able to hold my beast?"

Tyler isn't quite sure what to make of the woman before him. He debates kissing her, killing her or simply walking away. She has an annoying aura about her and it frustrates the man yet he still finds his boots planted firmly upon the ground as she rants on and on about the wyrm and meaningless definitions. He wrinkles in nose in disgust as she steps back and allows the moment to be taken as a chance to relax. At the mention of the metropolis to the east, he offers a faint hum in thought as he shifts his gaze between the Wyrm and the woman before finally shrugging. "Well. If you want to get to Cenril, you're on the right path. Just keep hoofin' it that way." He tosses his thumb over his shoulder to point behind him. "However, as far as the bridge. I haven't the faintest damn idea if it could hold a behemoth like that or not. I suppose there's only one way to know. If it goes collapsing, you're over the weight limit."

Ynhaldei smiles, "Apparently, so if that is the case, my next stop should either be Larket or Vailkrin. Not really fond of the dead stuff though... Well some alive ones aren't as fun as well I just do not prefer being hunted by creatures that bites flesh..." Ynhaldei slowly takes off her top hat and said, "My... where are my manners..." about to take a bow but checks the contents of her hat first, "Oh, here they are..." giggling at her own joke before finally bowing, "Miss Yin, Circus Master of the Travelling Misfortune and.. That's my pet Midnight... Say hello now.." a roaring reply is the only thing the beast gave, hopefully no spittle comes out... usually there is some. Turning to the man as she said, "And who am I speaking with today?" moving, wanting to take a sit on the side of the road, still looking at the man "Your illusions are quite impressive I might say, I had to be atleast an couple inch away from you to realize it was not real...." pulling out her map and checking the path she is taking, it is an old map from her homeland, the desert is well detailed but the rest are mere guesses or unmarked at all, main reason why she kept getting lost.

Tyler jerks in surprise once more as the massive beast roars in his direction. His left eye twitching as the woman moves to take a seat by the side of the road. He's face is red from embarrassment at her poor joke, but he doesn't comment. Moving to take a seat by the woman, he snatches the map out of her hands and digs into his pocket pulling out a small piece of coal to draw with. As he begins mapping out the route to Cenril from their current location he goes on with an introduction. "Tyler Dyalus. Worthless bum of Kelay. Traveling guy who does things." He offers in a smart tone as he finishes up the quick trail and hands the map back to Ynhaldei. "Circus, eh? Don't think I've seen one of those around here."

Ynhaldei frowns as the man takes away her map without even asking for it, wanting to take something for revenge, she started rubbing her small hands against the man's beard as she replied, "I should shave this off and bring it home, this thing has some good texture on it." Only letting him go when he returned her map, "Thank you.." wondering if this is a right path or not, "I am not against your drawing skills or anything but do you know anyone who can actually make me a full map? or buy one... I keep getting lost." Taking her pen, marking out the next location as she said, "I doubt that Mr. Tyler, Someone that has magic like yours would most definitely have some sort of job Yes? come on, do share, as if I care if its legal or not." Looking at the carnival as she ponder what to reply to the man, "Well.. it has its own perks, my most favorite is the ability to infiltrate the most well guarded cities..." smiling, thinking about that.

Tyler shakes his head in decline at the asking of a map maker. Truth be told, Tyler didn't know much of anyone but he wasn't quite ready to dump that information on the odd creature by his side. She moves into more personal territory and begins asking of the man's trade, legal or not. A crooked smile is quickly forced away as Tyler finds comedy in the woman's blunt approach of questioning. "Nope. Not a thing. As said, I do nothing. I sleep, drink and bug people that pass through the territory. I don't need to do anything. I'm filthy rich, and no, I didn't get it illegally either. If legality is even really a thing." He mumbles off at the end before turning to face the circus master. "I presume with such a big show you tend to clean up after your grotesque friend there, no?"

Ynhaldei smiles and said, "Legality is an idea created by the term called the 'Law' a list of blasphemy created from the idea of order which started from Morality... again, a mere opinion of many and those who are dumb enough to follow it. With regards to the clean up, that would depend if they request... if they do, I can always run away or do a different way of persuading." She stretches her legs, being sat on her mount for too long, needing some time to stretch, "Such a boring life you have them, Everything that you ever want and need is given to you but do tell me, do you ever want some adventure?"

Tyler provides a snide little smile as Ynhaldei speaks of different persuasions and then promptly goes about spreading her legs. The man somehow managing to find the will power to retain another off color remark that might earn him a swift slap to the cheek. Her insults about his lifestyle earn only a shrug before he leans back, propping himself up with his elbows. "I don't want much. Nothing physical anyway, but I guess if I did, I could reach out and take it with ease. Adventure? Eh. That's something for kids. Adventure is usually meaningless and just there for a rush of adrenaline. I prefer to have results at the end of my work, no matter what it is I choose to do, it must have a significant outcome." His head tilts back to stare up at the sky, his eyes squinting as he basks in the sunlight. "So no. I've never wanted adventure."

Ynhaldei lies down on the side of the road, closing her legs together as she watch the sky, "Well stabbing people always get them to stop following me for payment you see. Threats so far is the easiest and works most of the time." Closing her eyes for a second before taking her hat off and placing it against her head to cover her eyes from the light, her lips were still visible making sure her voice won't sound mumbling. "Before... in my land I would be jealous of you, wonder why I was not lucky if anything can be easily be reached by your wealth but now... No offense, But I think your life is boring, lazily stare at the ground while nothing happens, you do not progress and yet you are alive... making your very existence worthless. I am sorry but Honestly... that's what I think."

Tyler snorts at her comments. "If you think it's that easy to offend me sweet heart, you've got a lot to learn. Hell, at least I pay those that help me and don't threaten to go all stabby stabby. To me, it sounds like your just runnin' a travellin' sweat shop and then cheating your employees. Not the best business to be in." A chuckle is offered as he nudges the woman to his right. "Old world, huh? You aren't from this wasteland either then?"

Ynhaldei lifting her hat alittle as she looked at the man, "I am not, merely trying to provide an opinion, again, it is the person's fault if they accept it." Sighing as she sat beside the man and said, "I do not cheat on my employees all of them are 'free' like I am, Technically... All of my crew do look our for something, whether it is tangible or intangible, I only provide what I can, transportation and distractions and it is their free will if they want to stay more with me, if they want to provide a share then that's their will as well, I never forced them anything, All they need to do is point it at the map and the circus will put a show.... then they could go do whatever while everyone's eyes is focused on something else. Life is easier with this you see... Who would survive with just plain old circus anyway." Covering her face with the cap, "I came from the outpost of the Nameless Desert, life is hard there... though striving to live is still a lot than doing nothing like you do."

Tyler allows a moment of silence to fall upon the duo as she concludes her little speech before he takes a heavy breath leans back up. "Well, good luck in your... whatever it is you do then." Pushing his left palm into the dried grass he picks himself up off the ground and begins brushing himself off. "I'd say it's been a pleasure and that I look forward to seeing ya' again, but with that snobby little attitude of yours I'm not quite sure that's so true." The young man finishes cleaning himself off and straightens his vest, "So, I'll simply say, Good day.", he states before making a quick nod and forcing a smile to the woman before promptly turning on his heel and moving to exit to the west.

Ynhaldei smiles and stands up quickly with her acrobatic skills, Moving close to the man, "Before you go Mr. Tyler..." extending her hand toward his face, not really sure if he would allow it but it was quite an experience to feel that coarse texture of his chin, already pondering of shaving it off, maybe skinning the man, Trying her best not to appear violent infront of him, if the man allows or not, its fine, she'll simply put down her hands and mount the beast, follow the path provided.

Tyler would pause long enough to allow Ynhaldei to rub at his chin once more. This earns her another chuckle from the man as he shakes his head in confusion to the woman. "You're one odd little creature." He claims before waving goodbye to her and taking off into the treeline.
