RP: Training Begins

Awne had been sitting at the cliff for some minutes, a small bag beside her with a half eaten sandwich. Her robe was discarded in favor of a pair of loose fitting pants and a form fitting top. She was nervous, very nervous. Her needles were in a noticeable pocket at her hip, normally hidden inside her robe she had patched together another quickly for the training. Tail twitching, ears turning at every sound, she finally couldn't take sitting anymore and began to pace in an effort to rid herself of some pent of energy. She wasn't sure what the rope was for near the edge but she was hopeful it wasn't for them...she didn't like heights and didn't really want to have to dangle from it..

Cyneric 's mind was fully focused for the tasks that he was being given as a trainer and his plans for this day was perfectly clear. In his right hand he would wield a simple, regular brown bag that was currently empty; he had this for his plans which he would not yet say. As for his left hand he held nothing, but a smirk on his face surly meant something. He was excited, training his clan leader was more than the beast could ever ask for. Wanting to come into the area with a jogging pace he would keep his own patients and instead come at a normally seeable walking pace. Luckily his student was already there sitting upon the very same rock that he had tied a rope too, edging closer the centaur would keep his half-grin while at the same time he would throw the bad on the ground, "Are you ready? If you are I'd like to get a quick start." Taking a look from east to west for the mere purposes of examining his surroundings Cyneric continued and once again focused at Awne, "put every weapon you have in this bag please."

Awne looks up at the sound of hoofs, pausing her pacing to offer a nervous smile and light wave. Her teacher though, was all business it seemed. Looking to the bag she nods and unclips her pouch of needles, stashing them tenderly into the bag and then moves it to the side beside the one she had brought. It was all she had, probably a tell-tale sign that this....was not a fighter, always passive this want to learn to defend herself, and possibly attack, was a new change. "Therre..." she says softly, tail flicking "What do we do firrst?"

Cyneric :: Watching his newest student already well prepared and well early for training meant more to the half-breed then anyone could ever know. It meant so much to him because it showed great potential, to both himself and his student. And knowing that this was not going to be a waste of his time was also a credit to be taken. He would look over those facts and his current agenda and want to do nothing more than just laugh. But now was a time to be serous and he would tighten his facial muscles as well as his arms to show that now was the time for business. Watching Awne empty her weapons in the bag his seriousness for the matters at hand just grew as he would grab the bag now filled with her weaponry and bring it to the cliff edge where he would go on to tie it up with the rope and throw it off below where it would hang. With Cynerics breathe now increasing a flood of adrenalin begins to flow rapidly through him "For one to teach, one must first understand. So now is your time to teach." turning to face Awne he would finish his words "Teach me well for your life depends on it!" Raising both of his front hooves, the Centaur would slam them on the ground harshly. At first this action would seem meaningless but seconds later a flow of magical energy was used causing a line in the earth's top layer to burst upward and outward shattering and injuring anything it would come in contact with. This surprisingly speedy attack would go towards Awnes direction with tremendous force with a seven foot width spread that would even make dragons scarred.

Awne watches, blinking as the centaur ties the bag, near on having a panic attack when he tossed the bag over...before remembering he had tied it first. A breath of relief, but hardly one to relax, as before she could really comprehend, the male he had slammed his hoofs down. Unsure what to expect, or what stance to have from the half raised half lowered one she had, she watches. Ground trembling she watches in horror, what was she supposed to do!? Instinct took over; you’re a cat for goddesses sake act like one! She was moving before it registered, back flipping twice to land at her feet and run for the cliff wall, she needed to get to safety that's what she needed to do, her hands flew to the wall, there had to be something here...The green glow pushes deep, there! She latches to the green life in the wall, hands balling to fists as though grabbing she pulls physically and magically a tree root shooting from the wall above her head. No time to waste it was at her heels! She jumps to the root and latches on, hands still green as she tells the root to move higher out of the way, watching the damage of the earth fall below her.

Cyneric :: With the earth now shattered and the attack now defended against, cyneric watched his students reaction with pleasure only to quickly continue his attack towards her in the form of yet again more Earth magic. Stomping all four hooves a circle of crushed earth shredded outwardly just far enough in all directions to hopefully cut the veins which held Awne so highly above the ground below. Now the battlefield was practically nothing but shredded and pointed upward rocks, "Defeat me if you wish to learn, Kill me if you must, but your time for attack is now!" Taking a moment to breath he would use more magic to thrust the ground below him upward to the point that it would catapult him towards Awne. If he was to reach her he would attempt to throw a common punch, if not then he would try whatever else came to mind.

Awne latches to the root for dear life, attack he says! Easy for him to say he wasn't a pacifist! No no..you wanted to learn, stupid me~ even her thoughts were screaming as the root was cut from under her, launching off of it, it seemed it was better to throw herself head first into the new idea of fighting...not so much a figurative thing as she was falling head first to him..and he was heading up to her! "Gah!!" Retreat!! No! Fist..Okay..Fist ah..Duck? No falling um... She grits her teeth, 'fight!' and shifts her body to the side, letting his fist wiz just past her stomach, latching onto his arms with both hands she pulls herself to his back; the added wait and swing would readjust their fall more to the side, but at least for the moment she was above him again and he below enough to break a fall. Felines had one weapon they could never be rid of, and those found themselves cozy homes within tissue and fur of his shoulders, wrapping her legs around his torso. It wasn't much of an attack but..well...hell she didn't know what she was doing.

Cyneric :: Now ascended into the air, Cynerics mindset was battle ready. The time to turn up his intensity was now, especially as she had just dodged his attack. What came next had never happen to him in all his years of battle and surprised the hell out of this beast: she used his own arms to climb on his back where she then would wrap her legs around his lower torso as if riding him. He could not believe that she had just done that, and it would be that action that distracted him long enough that his odd angled fall would be almost too late to recover from, but surly enough his focus regained and with the grace of the gods he would re-adjust his angle before landing on all fours. His landing of course was at the speed that no sudden stop would be possible especially on the un-even surface they landed on and because of this he would jump to the next up-rooted piece of earth before casting another bit of magic, this time it was lightning magic, his deceased father's favorite kind. Even with the use of all his magic's so far he would manage this attack which began and ended with a thin streak of yellow lightning from the sky. It was nothing special, nor would it hurt cyneric as he was the caster but it would prove a harsh punishment to anyone that dared ride this centaur. And for this attack his movement was kept still so to hear the screams of pain if the attack landed.

Awne was latched on as tightly as she could, she could feel the tissue tearing beneath her claws and the half of her that was so against fighting wanted nothing more than to stop and heal him, granted the other half was in control and taking the first half on the little traumatic ride but all the same it was a war on to heal or not to heal. Her eyes were closed as they came for a landing but the sudden stand still worried her, more so when her fur started to stand on end, that feeling in the air of an upcoming storm, but no clouds...no thunder! so how can 'move!' She leapt to the side, not able to detach and untangle fast enough she was sent sprawling to the ground, her arm and leg singed and painful. She hisses at the pain first then fully at the centaur, fur raised, tail puffed and flicking in agitation. Both halves were in agreement, it messed up her fur! it had to pay now. She stands shakily at first, taking a small step then another, and soon she was running at him, her eyes bright as a new emotion flowed through her, bad...ness...no..What was that called? Hate? No no too strong...rage...yes yes..rage! She leaped at him, and shifted in the blink of any eye, her form gone to the shape of feral, fully grown white lioness, claws outstretched and weighing a heavy sum..not that she'd admit it, she roars at him. Prey shuddered in the face of those calls from the kings and queens of the race and this one too would know why! She landed just in front of him, dodging to the side before lunching at him, teeth and claws gleaming for horse meat; ironic as she didn't eat meat.

Cyneric :: the lightning's end signified the time for another attack but he would first wait to see if she would retaliate which to his surprise she would. Her rampage towards him was not something he could ever expect, or at least not like this one. He had to defend himself, her launched attack left him no choice, and yet again he would use his arsenal of earth magic as it was his strong suit. Causing the earth to create a half circle around his own body, this would be his defense. There would be no certain starting point for this defense, it would just be a circle of earth around cyneric starting from one foot of thickness and eventually growing into two foot. If his defense was made, and successful then he would easily use this time to rest, if not then he would go hand to hand with the beast knowing that he could not stand a chance as she had the upper advantage with her claws.

Awne fell into the circle of earth, back feet scratching at it as she uses her strength to get over it. Standing now as though having conquered some mountain she growls at the beast, snarling at him as she runs along the edge to jump to his back. She'd doge his fists, blows landing to her sides and face but she still kept coming at him. Instinct was a powerful thing, and she had her fighting instinct detached for so many years that now it had all taken over. Yes she was fighting for some control but the best before her was not fighting the clan leader in mind, but that of a wild cat; and nothing was more dangerous than a pissed off feline...well...okay second worst next to a raging bull...well...third with angry dragon...well....okay psychotic angry dragon would be first. Anyway she was not herself is the point here, and lashing at him with the true intent to kill.

Cyneric :: The most shocking thing that could have happened was happening, the pacifist was now a major threat in combat, her launched claws and teeth was sure to shred the skin that Cyneric hoped to keep and to continue wearing. Using his best and quickest defense he would try to prevent this from happening but would soon fail as it proved to be a mistake. Realizing she was inside of the centaurs own defense and flying towards him he would begin piling loose dirt from below upwardly towards the roof above and using his last bit of magic he would then create a pathway from outside only four inches wide to act as his air supply. This all would happen after the feline landed and clawed on his back leaving several deep gashes, but in the end he would know there could be no escape from this attack as the walls was too thick to break away from and the loose dirt would prove too much for even cyneric to move in, more or less attack in.

Awne snarls at the beast but the snarling soon turns to the dirt falling to her fur and the wounds. Before long she found herself unable to move, only to chomp onto the back of the beast and that was getting old and tiring quickly. The air was growing thinner for her, her head was spinning, stars appearing in her eyes; the perfect distraction for the truer self to take back control. While the beast had wore himself out, the feline had years of practice with magic and energy to spare. She shifts there on the centaurs back, returning to her normal demi form; she didn't have much time before darkness took her mind but with last of air in her lungs and darkening eyes she rests her hands on the centaurs back. Light...all around...such color, and this time it wasn't just her mind! even the centaur would see the light appearing around them, emanating from the feline herself; it flashes! Blindness for the brief moment but air! sweet air fills her lungs again, the vision would clear to find them outside the dirt hill that had been proving fatal, deep breathes from the feline as she lay sprawled on the centaurs back, panting for the air needed to keep the darkness at bay. "n...n..not...f...fairr.." she pants to him.

Cyneric 's eye's laid heavy on the self created light, this was a type of magic he had yet to have seen during his years of warring combat. And to find himself teleported outside of the encircled earth in a matter of seconds was perhaps amazing beyond words. Awne's amazing abilities proved to be worth the fight, and cyneric now knew her extent in battle even though he could still go on if he so desired. "…You passed your first test…" he would say to the feline that was now sprawled upon his back, "…you did great, now it’s time to rest…" walking ever so gently to the rope, the centaur beast would find it to be still intact by the grace of the gods. Pulling it slowly to him he would get the bag full of weapons and begin to carry Awne away from the cliffs "…now we go home…. Now we go…"

Awne groans faintly at the movement, shifting to be more situated on her clan mate and teacher, resting on his back she purrs lightly, reaching to grab her own bag and pull it up with her "Home....it's about time that you saw yourr rroom." she mumbles to him, tracing a wound "I'll fix you up when we get therre.."

Cyneric entered this household carefully, almost as if he was breaking into it unlawfully even though he was not. He didn't know this area well and would wait hoping that Awne could point him to the right direction as Awne had been able to gain some rest during their travel.

Awne had been having a rather enjoyable time reading the centaurs back, she wasn't one for heights and had only taken part in riding a giant chicken back home but this...this was fun! Once they had stepped in though she knew it was over and slid off the side, to land on her feet. She smiles at hime "Thank you forr the rride. And the trraining." She smiles brightly happy really, taking his hand she points to the room just off the living room, the names on both doors had been changed but it seemed they were still in the prosses of transition. "This one is yourr rroom, I made surre that all the floorrs arre strrongerr, you can walk norrmally." Leading him to the door, carefully, she motions to the knob "Just touch the knob and think of what you wish the rroom to look like, it will adherre to yourr wishes." Were the beast to look to his side in the doorway of the felines bedroom would reveal two sets of eyes, one in the body of a hatchling child, the other in the body of a feline girl, demi form like the lioness healer but younger then the hatchling.
