RP:The Shiny Giver

Kelay Way

Kelay: the most famous part of the land. Something is happening. But you don't know what and by the looks of all the villagers around, and their confused expressions, neither do they. For the moment though it seems relatively calm, whether it is the calm before the storm though is yet to be seen. Perhaps more can be found out in the tavern to the north? Perhaps shelter in the great cities to the east and west could be found as well? You ponder which direction you should take and wonder if it will lead you onto your destiny be that glory, or death. Daisy the ascended cow is here. Burnt bits of various limbs is here. The corpse of a Drunken Fool lies here. The corpse of a Preklek advanced scout lies here.

Kurlurk walked along the dirt road, the Orc having no memory on how exactly to return back to Gualon, would simply wander around raiding whatever he could until he had such a mass of items that he would have to return. The others of his race he had brought with him waited in sage forest now, hidden in what appeared to be a secluded nook of some kind. There they waited on Kurlurk to find a large enough mark for the twenty or so Orc. So far he had found nothing, a few people he had taken care of on his own. He thought now of the shop he had found in Sage forest south of the Milous Plains, but all he had seen there where the green of herbs and so passed it up at least for now.

Saren walked down the road with his hands kept in his pockets, the human had decided to take a walk to cool off after his latest skirmish in the forest. The damn goblins had been moving into his territory again and he was determined to find a way to root out their filth once and for all, raising his gaze to see the man who was about to walk right into him he stopped asessing him wondering if he was paying enough attention not to trip over him. The male noticed that he was obviously an Orc based off of his height and the way he was built.

Kurlurk’s attention had indeed not been on where he was walking, instead it was upon the human outside of the tavern, obviously drunk out of his mind. He stopped just short of walking into another whom he had not even noticed. Surely the Orc’s smell would easily make the human ranger back away if he didn’t pass out from the fumes. Kurlurk turned from the path and started towards the tavern and the fool stumbling outside of it. Pulling from his waist a single battle axe he would raise it high over his head just before reaching the man. The drunken fool would turn around just in time to see the Orc and freeze in his footsteps. “Food you be!” he would shout at the man as he swung downward into the man’s skull, he shook his axe from it and his body fell to the ground. The Orc skirmished around the body robbing it of what little gold and clothing he may have had left. The Orc would smile as he cleaned off his axe with his tongue, the blood of a human always seemed sweet to him.

Saren merely watched the Orc fell the unfortunate fool and the start the relatively quick process of looting his body, a single gold coin slowly rolled away from him and came to a slow stop in front of the ranger. Leaning down to pick it up he began to move it from knuckle to knuckle in a very relaxed motion, speaking in a strangely relaxed voice seeing as there was a butchered body nearby. "I believe you missed one." A smile was clearly seen on the hooded males lips as he continued to play with the coin waiting for the other male's response, judging by his experience with Orcs before hand he knew the raider would most likely blame him for stealing.

Dergious said to Kurlurk, "Piggy wanna keel sum stuff?"

Kurlurk placed a foot on the torso of the now dead fool and with his brutish strength pulled from the body the entire of its left arm. Raising it up much like a chicken leg he would bite into the raw meat, some of the warm blood would trail down his muzzle as he turned to the voice of another. Spying quickly the gold coin he would decide his next target. “You have coins, you be food,” he would say dropping whatever remained of the arm he carried and finishing whatever bit of it he had been chewing while he was speaking. He had taken a few steps forward before a new voice spoke, one of dwarven descent. “Appetizer before shiny meal?” he asked himself as he scratched lightly at his head wondering which he may devour first. The Orc obviously had not understood the beings words, only that he had spoken to him, as if a meal wanting to let itself known.

Dergious chuckles at the dirty Orc. The creature was exactly his kind of individual; stupid and aggressive. "Bah, dun be wastin yer time wit a small fry like meself, bub.", he says as he hands over a bag of coin. Ye knows, if ye be needin shiny things... I wud be better alive te yerself." Dergious gave 2000 gold to you.

Saren pinched the coin in betwen two fingers before flicking it straight towards the Orc, the rangers aim was good as it landed directly at the Orcs feet his idea was to get his attention back to the ranger. "I believe the bulk of that man's arm should be more than enough to fill you, would hate to lose that figure of yours." His voice remained, the dwarf was noted as well... There was something off about him that he couldn't quite place. To be honest it was something he favored to see from others, with people like that you would where you stand.

Kurlurk did not understand most of what the small man had said other than the words shiny and alive. So he accepted the bag, wondering what it may be and nearly chucked it aside not knowing of its contents, then suddenly the bag would open slightly and the light of the night would shine inward enough for him to recognize that it was filled with gold. The smelly odor the dwarf let off would surely make any back away, but the dwarf seemed to stay close enough by, this threw him off. And so to make it look as though he was fine he bent down and picked up the other coin that the human had tossed his way. “Me like shiny things.” His attention jumped back and forth between them, waiting to see who would stop giving him shiny things, that’s how he would decide to eat first. Unless of course one or both were able to get through to him what they wanted, they would of course need to speak slower, and perhaps on a lesser level of vocabulary for it to even really register with the Orc.

Dergious said to you, "Bah! Whut're ye swingin bub? Dat be no weapon o' a warrior like yerself!. " Dergious reaches into a pouch at his waste and withdraws the haft of a weapon much to long to fit into such a place. The pike is drawn and presented to the Orc, with a calculating look in the dwarf's eye and a disguising nod of deference to the creature. Dergious gave 1 Acid-Bite Pike to you.

Saren stood there merely watching the dwarf pull a pole weapon while standing near the Orc, the question being how Kurlurk would take this.

Kurlurk would step back at the weapon coming from his bag, his head tilted slightly at the pike coming from such a small bag, then the battle instinct would kick in and he would raise up his hand axe in preparation for an attack. Then, when the weapon is offered, he lowers his weapon and places back at his waist with the other identical to it. Kurlurk accepted the weapon, looking over the weapon, he wondered how sharp it might be, and so went to place a single finger along the blade, but something told him not to, what he wasn’t sure but he decided against it and instead looked to the dwarf once more, “Kurlurk thank Shiny Giver.” It was a title he had now given the dwarf, one he would never lose. Suddenly his stomach would growl and in the next instant he would belch loudly, the stench of his breath would surely spread throughout the area and dissipate a time later. Suddenly he was hungry once more, and turned to the human wondering if he could wait to cook him unlike the others.

Saren chuckled at the name Dergious had been given, looking to the Orc for a moment he didn't much care for the scent that wafted towards him or the fact that he was now giving him a look that suggested he wanted to eat him. Offering a sinister smile he would wait for him to come closer before deciding just how he should react.

Kurlurk turned from the human to stare once more at the weapon he had been given, holding it into the air he holds it proudly in his hands. Taking the weapon he would suddenly turn away, forgetting the human completely. He began to walk off with nothing but the weapon on his mind. He thought of what the others would think when he returned to them with such a great weapon and tales of the Shiny Giver.
