RP:The Masked Girl

From HollowWiki

Background

Raziel had kept herself out of the public eye, but when she hears all the commotion that keeps echoing across the land, due to the Timelords proclaimation and the like, she decides to bring herself into society. Though, Raziel doesn't quite know why she had decided so.

Raziel's Entrance

Raziel enters the tavern with silent, gliding footsteps as the door closes behind her 5’ 10” form. She is wearing a black hooded robe, with the hood up and shadowing her face. Of course, the hood is only there to cover up her hair, for she is wearing a wooden black-faceless mask over her face. Were one to inspect her shadowed out mask a bit closer, one might notice that the mask has absolutely no detail to it, nor does it have eye holes. One would presume the mask to be unfinished, at first, though it isn’t. Upon her feet is a pair of black heeled boots, made out of soft leather. They look as though they have hardly ever been worn. With all these clothes, one would not be able to tell what race she is. And her scent wouldn’t be of much help, either, for she smells strongly of many different woods, as well as smelling of the ocean. Within her hand she carries a black oaken walking cane, though she carries it horizontally and looks as though she doesn’t need it one bit. Raziel strides towards the back of the tavern, never once moving her head, nor looking around to any other patrons of the tavern, as she makes her way to a secluded and empty table. She seems to be keeping a bit of distance from everyone else. Upon the woman’s right shoulder is a fairly large, inky black, raven with a black beak. He seems to be keeping an eye on everyone within the tavern. Once Raziel reaches the table she pulls a chair out from where it is, with a black-silk glove covered hand, and sits down upon the seat. Directly after she sits, the strange woman throws her booted feet upon the table, crossing her ankles as she does so. Kraar, the raven, flits from her shoulder and lands upon her shin, continually keeping watch of the other patrons. Raziel crosses her arms as she faces the rest of the tavern, appearing to be watching everyone else, though her head scarcely moves. Kraar soon lets out a fairly quiet caw, towards where Nancy is, and Raziel nods to him. “Excuse, ma’am?” she calls, softly to Nancy as she turns her masked face slightly towards her. When Nancy comes over to Raziel she speaks to the barmaid in a quiet tone; her voice is like that of a strong Alpha’s, yet it is with a tone like the sweetest of bells. Likewise, her voice appears to be rather young, like that of a young adult’s. “I’m sorry if I am troubling you at all, but, my friend and I have been traveling for a very long while. Do you think, perhaps, you could fetch him a small bit of raw meat?” Nancy might give Raziel a bit of an odd look, but says that it’s fine. Soon Raziel pulls off the glove, from her right, revealing a hand that has the appearance of smooth and pale porcelain; she then reaches to her belt, where there are three pouches of slightly different sizes. Each has a different shaped stone tied about the pouch. Raziel swiftly swipes her hand over each stone until she reaches the third pouch; she then reaches in and pulls out the amount of gold Nancy had asked her for. After she gives the money to Nancy, and the barmaid walks away, she swiftly pulls the glove back on, and crosses her arms once more.

Sempter steps into the tavern just has he has done the day before and the day before that. Raziel is noted and a small smile grew on the Minotaur’s face. Ranok's voice is heard and calls out to him, "Greetings my good man!" With that, Sempter once again eyes the elf before he moves to the bar, sitting there without ordering a drink.

Kasyr steps into the bar with a particular sense of purpose, the Revenant taking a cursory glance of the present crowd- before heading towards the message board.

Ranok only gives Ei a cheerful wave. He wasn't explaining why he was in such a mood

Raziel sighs, and leans her oaken cane against the table, making very little noise as she does so. Soon the raven lets out a click as he looks about the tavern at the patrons. The young elf smiles, beneath her mask, and nods. Soon she leans back, in her chair, with her booted feet still upon the table. Yet she remains utterly silent, until Nancy comes back with the food for her raven. "Thank you." is all she says, as the inky-black bird hops from her shin to the table, to eat the raw meat she ordered for him.

Sarah stares at the ceiling, not minding anyone at the moment.

Eilyo frowns playfully at the man, sighing. "Why are you so damn stubborn?" The question was almost mumbled to herself.

Ranok said to Eilyo, "Vy aren' hyu talkink to Sarah?"

Eilyo blinks a bit, frowning. "I think we might've scared her with the vampire bit. She hasn't said much since..."

Kasyr finishes scribbling out his message upon the board, before sticking his hands into his pockets and casually starting to walk towards the door.

Sempter glances at the woman Ranok speaks with and remembers her from the other day, arguing somewhat with others. Though he looks in the direction of Raziel and then back, before turning back to the bar and ordering a drink.

Ranok said to Eilyo, "Hyu betta! Or Hy vill poke hyu again."

Eilyo smirks at this. "You may have to come up with a better threat, love."

Sarah looks back and smiles,"...uhm....So...Who are you again?" she asks in a quiet voice.

Ranok said to Eilyo, "Oh, very vell. Hy vill provoke Athy into doink zumtink stupid if you don'. Hyu know he'll bite."

Sarah tilts her head,"...uhm...you don't have to talk to me if you don't want to," she says.

Raziel || Kraar caws lightly as he turns his head towards his owner; when he does so Raziel lets out a little honey-sweet laugh at the raven's 'words' "That so?" she mutters to the bird. "Hm. I suppose we don't keep ourselves hidden well enough... Now do we, my brother?" she says, facing towards the large bird; a smirk, hidden by her black wooden mask, upon her lips.

Eilyo frowns deeply at Ranok's words, almost glaring at him. She then turns her attention back to Sarah, her face friendly and apologetic before the girl could notice the anger much. "Sorry. I'm Eilyo. And really, I don't mind talking to you at all."

Ranok gives Ei another cheery wave.

Sempter is puzzled at Raziel's words, but he does not turn her way. Instead, he stands and moves over to Ranok and Eilyo, nodding to the man and hold his hand out to Eilyo. If she takes it, he would bow and kiss the top of her hand, "Evening friends. Mind if I join all of you?" he asks, then glances to Sarah with his ice blue eyes, his expression soft and the light giving him an angelic look from where it reflects off of his white furred head.

Eilyo smiles politely at Sempter as he kisses the top of her slender hand. "I don't mind."

Raziel stretches her arms above her head, crossing them a bit at the same time, as she removes her booted feet from the table. Even though the elf is wearing a mask, she holds a hand over her mouth as she yawns lightly. The bird had finished his food, and soon Raziel holds out her left arm for him, as she grasps the cane in her right hand. "Hm. Off to new lands then, brother?" she murmurs to the bird. However, before she leaves she pushes in her chair and walks over to the board, holding her left arm out as the bird and herself looks upon the board. The bird makes several different caws and clicks, as though he were reading aloud.

Ranok waves a hand at Sempter, "Go ahead."

Raziel sighs, shaking her head at the board. "Strange ways... Certainly not what I learned as a little one..." soon she turns towards the door, promptly taking her cane and pushing the door open with it, ready to leave.

Raziel Meets Sempter

Raziel re-enters the establishment, as it happens, for she had seemed to have gotten a few supplies for the road. She soon heads over to the bar in silence, to soon ask Mesthak for a few drinks and foods that she would need.

Sempter nods his head with a shrug, then glances at the door and notices that the elf is back. He can only smile at the sight of her, but he knows he doesn't have a chance. Still, he stared at her, while speaking to Eilyo, "Do you know who the Queen is of Frostmaw? Living in the deepest parts of the forest, news doesn't travel that far."

Cora enters the tavern and makes her way to the bar to order ale. After paying the barkeep, she takes her glass to a nearby table and sits down, resting her head in one hand with a soft, tired sigh.

Eilyo thinks a moment, frowning. "Not sure. Satoshi, or something like that. She's posted things on the board before, and I've heard her name mentioned in conversation I'm sure..."

Raziel doesn't see Sempter's smile, but is told of it by her faithful raven. "Hm. Kind, ain't he?" she says with a smile, under her mask. As she gathers the few items she asked Mesthak for, and lays the proper amount of gold down for him to take, she moves to the table she was at before; as she moves she carefully places her new supplies within a satchel at her side. The young elf sits down, placing her cane against the table. Soon she removes just her black hood, showing the purest white hair and her pointed elven ears. It would now be fully noted by any who see her that her wooden mask has no eyeholes in which she could look through. The raven lands upon the table, and turns towards the woman; Raziel soon speaks softly to her friend, as though the raven were just another person.

Sempter blinks and turns to Eilyo, "Your kidding. I was speaking with Satoshi the other day and she didn't mention she was the Queen." He felt bad now and didn't know what to do with himself, until he glanced at Raziel and her mask and nearly dropped the drink he just ordered. 'How is she supposed to see,' he thought to himself. It didn't matter, he still had a strange interest in her for some strange reason.

Sempter said to Eilyo, "You going to this fairy party? Ranok has asked me to help make sure nothing happens. I can't believe a thing like me has to wear wings. I mean, I am a Minotaur and we don't wear wings or dress up like pixies. -shudders-"

Eilyo chuckles softly, winking. "Honestly, I can't wait to see him with wings. All that armor..." She covers her mouth and her snickering. "But aye, I will try to be there."

Raziel looks towards Sempter at the words of a party. Of course, she doesn't truly look at him due to the lack of eye holes in her mask. ~Party? Huh, never heard that word before...~ She thinks to herself. Soon the young elf sits back up, and faces her bird counter-part. She softly strokes the large inky-black raven's back, as she whispers to him. The bird always answering her words back with quiet caws and clicks.

Sempter scribbles something on a piece of paper, giving it to his pocket sized dragon, who delivers it to Raziel, the minotaur forgetting she can't see.

Sempter told Raziel, "-sent via note- Forgive me for asking, but a beast such as I could only have his night made better if he could see your face. That is all I ask of you. ~Sempter, Frostmaw Minotaur~"

Raziel || Kraar lets out a caw, in the direction of the pocket sized dragon. "Huh? That so?" Raziel says to the bird, holding out her silk glove covered hand for the note. She takes the note and holds it, as though she is reading, while Kraar wanders across the table to look at it, himself. The raven lets out some clicks and caws, just as he had from the board. It might be noticeable that the raven seems to have the ability to read writing.

Raziel smiles, beneath that mask of hers and releases a light, and honey-sweet, laugh at the note. Though it is clearly not in a taunting or rude way, merely the type of laughter one has towards an idea that seems impossible. “Hmmm…. What to do, eh Kraar?” she asks the bird, as she ‘looks’ towards the letter, leaning her head gently against the palm of her hand and tapping the wooded mask with her index finger. The bird looks upon the minotaur with protecting eyes, for the bird thought of the elf as his sister, and she thought of him as brother. The bird lets out a couple of clicks and she nods. “Yes, I sense that too… Hmmm…” she then removes both of her gloves, revealing her smooth pale, and porcelain-like, hands. These hands then reach behind her head and pull away the three tied ribbons from behind her head. She then holds the mask upon her face for a while, still pondering upon whether she should, or shouldn’t remove it.

Sempter chuckles at Eilyo then feels the eyes of the bird upon him and turns and stares back at the bird with his ice blue ones, giving one the feeling of gentleness and sweetness, combined with power. "Excuse me Eilyo," stands and would kiss her hand again with a bow, "I am going to figure this mystery out for myself." With that, he moves over to Raziel and in a gentle voice he greets her, "Evening. Looks like you could use some company. May I please join you and your lovely companion here?" he asked both the elf and the raven.

Ranok strolls into the room like he owned the place.

Raziel smiles, behind her mask and nods. "Yes, I believe that would be alright." after she speaks this she then carefully, with both hands, removes her mask, her soft white bangs falling gently upon her face. Though she is not a high elf, her features are far more beautiful than most elves could hope for. Her skin is smooth, and without any scars or imperfections. It is also like that of the palest porcelain, with a light rosiness just about where her cheek bones are. Her lips are the color of light roses, and they hold a gentle and kind smile upon them. Her face is shaped with a bit of a pointed chin, though her face isn't exactly heart shaped... However, there would be noticed to be a soft white blindfold tied over her eyes. Blind, it would seem. She didn't need the blindfold, really, but she feared anyone seeing her eyes. "You are the one who sent the note?" she says softly, with a voice like sweet silvery bells. It is nice to meet you." she says, though she doesn't give out her name.

Eilyo throws something at Ranok. A grape or something.

Ranok sidles up beside Eilyo and hands her the grape back.

Sempter grins, "Aye, I did. But why hide a face such as yours? Words cannot describe how beautiful your face is. But, covering your eyes like that hides the true beauty." The minotaur seemed to be speaking from his heart, his voice gentle and his expression soft as he looked to the bird.

Ranok glances at the Minotaur. Then to Ei, "Iz he vaxink poetic to de masked gurl?"

Eilyo blinks a few times, smirking slightly. "I...think so."

Raziel purses her lips momentarily at the minotaur’s words and then smiles a bit, as Kraar lets out a click towards her. "Oh, why thank you good sir... But, I could only wish you were correct about my eyes." she then shakes her head lightly, while still maintaining her smile "I am afraid my eyes, though I have never seen them myself, are not exactly beautiful..." Her sensitive ears soon pick up on Ranok's question and she laughs softly "Ah... How rude of me. I forgot to introduce myself. Usually I would introduce myself as 'Glitch'... Heh... But that seems rude, in such a circumstance. My name is Raziel Ravenwolf. And my raven brother is called Kraar." as she introduces the raven she strokes his back once.

Ranok slips the grape down Eilyo's shirt front, saying as he does, "Dere seems to be luv in de air lately. SCHtrangest tink. Hy tink Hy got anodder 'admirer' de odder day chust by talkink to de voman, und chust today Hy kaught a friend uf mine...vell, let's chust say dere hain't very much doubt vith her relationship vith a kertain male."

Sempter smiles and stands up once again, and if Raziel allows him to take her gentle hand in his, he would bow down and kiss it as well, "Sempter Buullo." He sits again, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Never know unless you let others look at your eyes. But, I am not making you reveal them. I want you to do that on your own when you are ready." He leans back in his chair, his left hand idly messing with the ring on his right finger.

Eilyo blinks at the now naughty grape, frowning at the man. She mumbles something incoherent before speaking at her normal tone. "It's true...I wonder why that is..." She was currently digging in her shirt, or more specifically her bosom, trying to get the grape and free it.

Raziel allows him to kiss her hand, and she nods to him. "Lovely name, sir... And your words ring true. Unfortunately, I've yet to find someone who would have any kind thoughts towards them... Ah, but, my, isn't that negative speaking!" she says to herself, sitting a bit straighter. The raven soon lets out a caw that sounded a bit like a scolding towards Raziel. She simply smiles towards her companion "Indeed, my brother." soon she looks back towards the minotaur, with her blindfolded eyes. "Sir Sempter, it gladdens my heart to know there are gentlemen amongst these lands... You are very kind." she says, with a soft smile towards him.

Sempter said to Raziel, "I wish I was a gentleman, but most would claim me as a beast. Personally, I am just another kind soul in this cruel world. Just call me Sempter. Sir is a bit formal."

Raziel nods to Sempter's words. "I, too, am considered a beast, dear Sempter. Despite my beauty..." she laughs a bit at this, though it is true. "You see, I was raised by a pack of wolves... Not lycans, mind you, simply wolves... This seems to change how you are viewed by others. Ah, but I don't believe you to be any kind of beast... My eyes, unfortunately, are blind... But this one." she says, pointing her index finger to the center of her forehead, "Is open. that eye is connected to the heart, not the brain. It allows me to see the unseen. If I had thought you to be anything less than a creature of kindness I would not have removed my mask." and this was the truth.

Sempter shakes his head, "So you do not care if I look like some kind of four legged animal that the lycan kind hunt and feed off of? I can't even say that I am a human or a beast but something in between. I like who and what I am, but I do not like the curse that comes with the look. As for you, I still think you are kind and your beauty adds to it."

Raziel bows her head softly to Sempter "I thank you for your kind words... And, truly, looks mean little to me. I have never been able to see... And, though most don't understand why, I am perfectly happy with this fact. I was abandoned for my blindness... And I used to feel great rage towards that. But then I started to think, one day, and I realized that being blind and raised differently from others has given me less need to be judging of looks or race... Everyone is innocent, until they have shown me otherwise. But you speak from your heart. This makes you an innocent in my eyes, so to speak." she then gently reaches up to her blindfold, and simply touches it. "If you do not believe me, for how I understand being misunderstood, then I could show you my eyes... But I'd rather not show you, if you would not like them." she says simply.

Sempter chuckles, "Unfortunately, time does not allow me to stay here. Perhaps I can get a peek next time I see you. I cannot judge if I will or will not like them and personally, all eyes have a beauty upon them." He stands and bows to the woman, "Until we meet again, be safe and I look forward to our next meeting." He moves to the door, with a glance back and a smile on his face. Eilyo and Ranok are forgotten about.

Sempter exits south.

Raziel bows her head, as Sempter moves to leave. "Very well then. Farewell Sempter." she says with a smile. As he glances back, Kraar gives his a click and she gently waves farewell to him. The moment the man would leave, Raziel would soon tie the black-silk ribbons of her mask back around her head, her beauteous face, once more, hidden behind the eyeless wooden mask. Soon she even pulls her hood back up over her pure white hair.

Raziel yawns, making sure that her hood was on securely. The young elf woman stands up, with a fluid motion, as she grabs the walking cane from where it was leaning against the table. She lets out a slight whistle, and her raven companion flits to her left shoulder. Quietly the woman makes her way to the door. "Hm. I believe we've spent plenty enough time within this building, haven't we my dear raven?" she murmurs to the bird. Soon she is off to Kelay Way and, possibly, elsewhere.
