RP:The Amber Lunation

From HollowWiki

Synopsis: Tiber comes to the survivors of The Basement to tell them that they should form a pack. Corrine thinks she should be Luna, but little does Corrine know that the Luna is standing right in front of them. Lanara Banks. It is a rough start to convince the pack to let Lanara in, but Tiberius, as the Alpha, is strong-willed. Together with the swinging of personalities, they form the Amber Lunation.

Part of the Lunar Tides and Silver Linings Arc

Some Cenril Storage Unit

Tiber (1 of 3):: Tiberius waited a day or so to prep Lanara for her new reveal to the bunch in the storage unit. In the pass time, the man had checked in on the group hidden away. The man made sure they were well-nourished after the lack of supply the past few days due to the change that had taken the Kelvarian. Boy, did Tiberius feel the wrath on that one. Corrine ripped him a new one, but towards the end, he was able to get her to bat her eyelashes at him with awe. He did not know how, for he did not really tell her anything. The whole pack, in general, had been wondering what had taken Tiber’s time away from them, and the lycan did not have an exact answer except for Greyson Briars. The Catalian knew he could trust Greyson to hold a secret which would give the man a chance to hush the rest of the group when Tiber was away. Greyson was respectful after his jaw-dropped look, and he knew that Tiber and Lanara’s choice was for the greater good.

Tiber (2 of 3):: The day had come, however, to bring the witch to the rest of the crew. To admit to the rest of why he had been absent, and he was not sure how the news was going to rub on the others. Greyson had accepted it, but what about the rest? Why did it even matter? What was -the plan-? Equipped on the lycan as the couple travelled through Cenril had been a couple of bows wrapped around his torso with a quiver of arrows on his back. In one hand, he held a bag full of miscellaneous items ranging from snacks to smaller weapons to mini targets in one sack. He was not sure what he needed today, for today brought forth new beginnings that he was unsure the others would take him on. The lycan would gaze at the Kelvarian with a confident reflection--he knew she had been anxious about the announcement. “We won’t start with you, if that makes you feel better. I’ll let you know when we will tell the rest. I have other things to run across the group. To see if they want to move on together as a… crew.” Pack, Tiber. He meant pack, but he was so used to being a lone wolf most of his life to realize he would have to treat the rest as one of him. After giving the witch a kiss on the cheek and a reassuring hand squeeze, he would open the door to the storage unit. The man appears all business in his fitted grey slacks, his blue button up with his grey blazer to match. “What’s good?” There was a casualness to Tiberius’ greeting. An ease to make him seem approachable at first. He would let the group adjust to his greeting and rise to listen in on him.

Tiber (3 of 3):: Tiber looks at each individual face in the mini swarm. Stern and collected. “I have important news. News that may make you feel completely relieved that I, for one, did -not- kidnap you. Gods no, I would be annoyed of every single one of you, and I also know you’re all -dying- to get out of this stank place.” Was that not the truth? They had been in here for a while now, and the coast was clear. “You’re probably all wondering ‘what next’? Due to the fact that some of you were nomadic before being held captive to some being kept behind blank walls as they waited for someone to give them a new life,” meaning ‘adoption’. “I want you to know that… I’ve concluded on some stability for those who want it. A new home. A new life. All for the price of… containing yourselves and putting in the effort to achieve these goals together. As a,” here it comes, “pack.” The Catalian’s mannerism is fairly business-like as he begins to pace around the unit staring at each face. “Look, I know that we are all… still getting used to one another, but… Lanara and I can provide you a home. Jobs. I can help you each learn to control your wolf, if you let me. It was hard doing it alone.” Way to cut to the chase there, Tiber.

Lanara (Post 1 of 2) Lanara hadn’t been all that eager to broach the subject of what had happened a week prior, mainly because it paints her in a very bad light. She had been brutally battered by a guy in a boyband, she hid the fact that she was cursed from those that she held dear, and then she had managed to cheat death with some help from her boyfriend and a forsaken familiar. The pretty elf still appears to be much the same, but to those with enhanced senses that may have caught her scent in previous meetings, they would note that Lana’s perfume has shifted. Much like her race, as she bears the mark of the wolf on her inner left wrist. Will the group welcome her amongst their kind, embrace her as a fellow lycan, and invite her to be a part of their newfound pack? She highly doubts this will be the case, and so as Tiber gives her hand that reassuring squeeze and presses a kiss to her cheek, she tries not to let him see just how uncomfortable this situation makes her, and of course, Asha is beginning to stir. “Hey… Everyone.” Clad in a pair of hip hugging jeans, a navy off-the-shoulder blouse, and wearing a pair of pale blue strappy sandals, she looks far more casual than her business-like boyfriend. Her arrival is mostly ignored, though Tybalt runs over to show her a picture he had been drawing of a pumpkin and a woman in a mage’s hat. Bjorn lifts a hand in greeting, waggling his eyebrows as he teasingly points to Lanara’s bare shoulders.

Lanara (Post 2 of 2) As Tiberius delves into his speech, everyone falls silent and keeps their gaze glued on the handsome Catalian, even Corrine. It seems the wench has a bit of a staring problem, and honestly, Lana cannot blame the woman because he -is- gorgeous. But he’s also -her- mate! And she’s the overly jealous, ready to throw down, eager to kick your arse into next week, will hex your whole family, girlfriend of the man who is currently being ogled. Lana is annoyed by all the attention the women are giving Tiber, but she keeps her cool, because this is an important moment for everyone. Dropping onto a chair, she crosses her legs, and smiles encouragingly at key points. Bjorn whoops loudly, “I’m in T-Man!” The rest seem to be thinking over the matter, unsure how they feel about leaving one commune and heading into the next, and naturally it’s Corrine that makes a stir. The blonde narrows her gaze on Tiber, slowly approaching him, a sway in her hips as she advances, “So, we are -all- going to live in the same house? The kid, Celeste, Greyson, Violet, the man child, you, and me?” Corrine giggles and twirls a lock of her hair, “Doesn’t that sound cozy?” She has the nerve to forget to include Lanara in the list of names, and she carries right on with her concerns, “So, you want us to be a pack? And you are going to help us get jobs and learn how to adjust to our lives as wolves? I mean… I guess that’s alright, so long as I'm Luna of the pack? I mean, I’m the eldest female in the group, and it makes sense since -Tiber- is the Alpha.” She shifts her green gaze to lock with Tybalt, “I vote that he should be removed from any pack activity until he’s older… Or maybe a boarding school?”

Tiber automatically pointed towards Bjorn’s response. “That’s my guy!” He hollers back. Best play it not -that- cool, Tiberius. Perhaps it was the fact that Tiber was finally making some dude friends in this group. Most people loathed the man. Most men, that was. “Look, I’m not expecting an exact ‘ye--” and then Corrine interrupts with her intense gaze that made the blonde man’s mood switch to a flat gaze, and her words take him aback. Corrine had it -all- wrong. “No, no. You’re insane if you think you’re staying in our home. No thanks.” Blunt. Straight to the point. “Greyson and I have been thinking about building a pack house. In the proximity of Sage. Lanara and I will not be staying there, but we won’t be far away either. Which reminds me…” amber eyes find their way to chocolate eyes. Then, Corrine interrupts again about negotiating a ‘Luna’ title. “Corrine,” his gaze is tense as he stares at her. He ignores what is slipping out of her wicked mouth and finds himself nearing Tybalt. A hand rests on the kid’s shoulder who is glaring at Corrine. “Tybalt was treated the same as the rest of us. I don’t think you want to know my -first- pick to go if I wasn’t being so kind right now,” and that honey gaze remains on Corrine in a threatening mannerism. “You’re not going to be Luna because… I was gone for a reason. Someone strong. Someone who is kind and loyal. One who has been helping you all behind the scenes because sometimes I cannot get my head on straight. My reason.” Eyes shift over to Lanara. “Lanara will be the Luna of this pack.” There were a few minor gasps. Celeste and Violet, for the most part with their jaw-dropped look, but not one of anger only shock.

Lanara (Post 1 of 2) Lanara smirks when Tiber shuts down Corrine, but she’s also relieved because for half a heartbeat, she had been wondering if he truly wanted the whole pack to share their home. It was just the two of them, right?! Her lips part at the woman’s venom toward Tiny Tybalt, because the disabled kid had come to mean a lot to Lana in the little time they had spent together. She wants to speak up, but she doesn’t need to, because Tiber corrects the evil wench and then announces her as the Luna of the pack! Lanara is caught off guard because they hadn’t discussed -how- she would be introduced to the group at a lycan, she assumed it would be near the end of things, and brought up casually! Everyone is staring at her now, jaws dropped and eyes wide, and she can feel the color seeping into her cheeks as she replies with a nervous laugh, “Um…Hi?” Lana knows it’s her turn to say something, so she turns in her chair and addresses the group, “Tiber saved my life by turning me into a lycan, it was the only way, and I know that some of you are probably unhappy about this revelation. But! -I- am really excited to get to know each of you and to be Luna of this pack, because I really think that we can all teach each other something vital. I know all about the human side of things, and you are all better equipped to the wolf lifestyle. This is an incredible opportunity for -everyone- and under Tiber’s guidan-”

Lanara (Post 2 of 2) Lana’s interrupted by Corrine, who is laughing maniacally, and shaking her head. “He can reject you, ya know? So what? You two imprinted when he turned you? And now you think you’re something special?” The room is silent as the women glare at each other, and it’s obvious that Lana is having some problems maintaining her focus, as Asha wants to desperately rip open Corrine’s throat and paint the room a fiery shade of red. “I never said I was special or better than anyone, but as the chosen mate of the Alpha, yes, I accept the position.” Lana looks to Tiber for back up, and because if he doesn’t shut the blonde up soon, Asha is going to make an appearance and no one wants that to happen. Tybalt glares at Corrine and pipes up, “Why are you so mean to Lana all the time? Is it because she’s prettier than you?!” Bjorn nods in agreement and chuckles, though he’s secretly hoping for a cat fight, because he has been waiting to see a naked woman for weeks now. Corrine crosses her arms over her chest, ignoring the outburst from the boy and the words of the witch, “You can’t just go around and turn people on a whim, Tiber! The whole point of our rescue wasn’t to build a lycan army! We all thought you were different… We didn’t vote on Lana becoming one of us… You should reject her as your mate and choose another. If you don’t want me, Violet or Celeste are both single, too. It’s only fair! Otherwise… I don’t think anyone is going to want to join this ‘pack’ plan you have laid out for us.” Will the others side with Corrine? Is this just a minor road bump? Should Tiber take a vote on who wishes to join? Everyone that had been quiet before seems to now be talking all at once! Lanara is trying to shush her inner wolf and she catches her beloved's amber gaze and motions to the door, silently asking him if she can step out for a breather. What will become of their relationship if she’s booted from the newly created pack?!

Tiber (1 of 2):: Tiber nods his head along for Lanara to just go with it. Maybe they should have planned this out a little better. Greyson is all smiley because he is finally relieved of a proud secret he kept. As Lanara begins to speak, Tiber is playing the role of nodding along with Lanara’s words of introduction. She is winging it, and it is spot on before she is so rudely interrupted! Rudely was an understatement because Luca had been growling and agitated about the way Corrine had been talking about Asha. Lanara’s glance towards Tiber’s way made Tiber automatically step in between the two women. The tall man begins to hover over Corrine. He was not afraid to drown her before, so what could he possibly do next if that were not the case? There was a glint of darkness in his gaze. An intimidating, twisted gaze. Tiberius was seething at this moment of the woman who was chastising his girlfriend. Cue Greyson Briars. The dark haired man steps in to press against Tiber’s chest to hold him back. “Do not stoop to her level,” the man would quietly say to Tiber as he stared hard at Corrine. Corrine goes off on how Violet and Celeste are also single and Tiber finds his gaze on the two women. Now the whole group is a cluster fudge. Lanara is looking at him to step out and Tiber angrily shakes his head before taking two steps back to holler a roaring, “Quiet!” His voice booms throughout the unit which causes the panic in the room to die down in a beat.

Tiber (2 of 2):: “Fair? You want to talk about -fair-, Corrine? You’re ungrateful, Corrine. Ungrateful for what you have. Lanara and I -saved- you from that place. And this is how you want it to be? And that goes for the lot of you. We went back for you. And most importantly, Lanara risked her very life to get me through those doors so I could break each and every one of you out. She took initiative when she was terrified. She faced great fears and sacrificed herself for -you-. Sacrificed her lifespan. In her dying days, she thought of you. Think about that. She provided you nourishment and entertainment when I never even batted an eye. Lanara deserves the title of Luna. All you do is piss and complain.” Pause. “You don’t want to join us? Fine. But if you do have an ounce of wanting to know your next step. Wanting an ounce of hope that beyond this unit, there will be someone or something who supports you, you can stand by…” his eyes look over to Lanara. “Us. You can stand by us. Otherwise, leave now because your wasting the time of the people who need hope to hold onto.” Instantly, Greyson is turning to face the rest of the group. The tall man places a hand on Tiber’s shoulder. “I already knew I’d be standing with Tiberius, so if you are unsure right now, know that I am.” Then, Violet steps up to stand near Tiber and Lanara. “Wow, your speech was so… cheesy,” but there was a smirk on her face. She was definitely in.

Lanara (Post 1 of 2) Lanara frowns when Tiber doesn’t grant her request to step out, because the longer she lingers in the company of Corrine, the more at risk everyone is of her turning murderous. She knows that if she shifts and attacks the woman, that the others will fearfully turn from their cause, and she’s trying her damnedest to distract Asha. She mentally tries reversing the alphabet, she focuses on the detail in Tybalt’s drawing, she imagines smoking an entire pack of cigarettes by herself the minute she exits the building. Penelope would be furious, and this nearly has Lana smiling, though she knows better than to smirk in a room of angry werewolves. Her insides are shaking and Asha is whimpering, wanting to run free and either terribly maim the one causing her pain, or snuggle up against Luca. Neither is going to happen, as Tiber’s shout quiets the room, causing Lana to wince. She’s still not accustomed to sensitive hearing! The empowering speech he gives has Lana dropping her dark chocolate gaze to her lap, where her hands are folded, because she feels ashamed. She hadn’t done those things for the others; she did all she could, she risked her life, for Tiber. The love she has for the man outshines all reason and she hoped to give him this family, should she have passed. “I had to touch a coral snake.” It’s a simple statement, and if the others knew of her fear, perhaps they would have sympathized. But, it’s also the first statement she has said since everything unwinded, and it takes all of her energy to control Asha. She lifts her gaze to lock with amber, shaking her head as Greyson steps in to push the man away from Corrine, because that single woman isn’t worth losing all the others that would benefit their pack. “Um… If you all are okay with joining the pack, under Alpha Tiber, and agree to being in a pack, then I will do all I can to make you proud to call me your Luna.” She’s exhausted, and she plays with the tips of her long locks, clearly avoiding further confrontation with Corrine.

Lanara (Post 2 of 2) Upon Violet saying that she’s in, the next one up is Bjorn, and he seems to have a few ‘concerns’ of his own. “I know there are probably rules, right? Like we all have to have each other's backs? What happens in the pack stays in the pack? That beautiful bromance type stuff?” He wildly looks around, very obviously pointing to Lanara, though his words are for Tiber, “Can you show me how to pick up chicks, T-Man? I’m not ready to mate for life or anything like that, but bunking down with some non-wolf girls would be hot! And you already landed yourself a looker, so I know you are the man to hook me up!” Lana holds up her hands, “What the hell, Bjorn?!” Obviously, he’s all in, for bromancing and romancing, as well as pack duties! Tybalt seems hesitant, but he shyly inquires, “Do I -have- to eat spinach? Because if I do, then I’m out. I can get big and strong on my own, with my wolf blood. But… I don’t like brussel sprouts, or asparagus, or any green vegetables.” He wonders if this is a deal breaker?! Corrine huffs and puffs and clenches her jaw, as she glances upwards, in disbelief that she lost her chance to be Luna and that she’s been publicly shot down by the new Alpha. She’s embarrassed, as she rightly should be! “Ugh. Fine! I’m in…” The only one left to answer is Celeste, and everyone expectantly glances her way.

Tiber (1 of 2):: Tiber knew that he may have been blowing smoke out of his butt with the ‘noble’ speech, but there had to be some ounce of dramatic convincing. Lanara’s quick add-on about being accepted as Luna leaves Tiber with a heavy sigh. This was not the reaction he had been hoping for. Violet stands there with her arms crossed looking as if she is just following what is easiest in her world right now. Her eyes roll onto Bjorn who talks about picking up chicks and the young adult crinkles her nose with a scoff. “You’re such a pig.” She rolls her eyes before smirking and shaking her head. Tiber then looks at Bjorn dumbfounded. “Not the time, dude. I might know some hippie doctor, though.” He might get knocked on the back of the head for that response. How dare he! Tybalt then speaks up and Tiber is staring at the kid. “We’ll compromise.” Easy as that, right? Psh, kids. Lana would take care of that, he was sure. Corrine gives in, and Tiber rolls his eyes as if he does not want her even saying ‘yes’ at all. Celeste then stares at the lot of them. The empath was timid and she looks at Lanara with a gentle gaze before blinking back at all of them. “I can’t stay unless… Things work themselves out. It’s not always going to be this heavy with arguments, will it?” the pale blonde pauses. She was peculiar. Nervous with the heightened emotion in the room.

Tiber (2 of 2):: Tiber shakes his head to Celeste’s response. “No. It shouldn’t. If it is, we’re not doing our job right. I already have ideas planned. The house will have separate rooms for everyone.” He pauses. “Everyone will be fitted into a job that is related to their skill. For example, Bjorn will be a Delta. He’ll train a lot of you to defend yourselves. Perhaps I’ll be able to connect him to some line of guard work.” The man looks to Greyson. “Greyson will be my Beta. My second in command. We will work out the details on what that looks like together. Celeste… you have healing traits. Lanara has connections where she can set you up with her friend.” He squints. “Everyone will find their place. It’ll become a balance. It’ll take time to massage out the kinks and learn everyone’s skills, but we will find it easy to work with each other soon.” With the confirmation, Celeste slowly takes a small step forward. “Then, so be it. I’ll let fate guide me.”

Lanara isn’t sure what sort of reaction Tiber had expected from her, but she knows she has failed from that heavy sigh. Asha growls, bothered by everything that is unfolding, and it seems that neither the wolf nor the witch want to remain in the room. Still, they have no choice but to stay, or risk defying their Alpha. As Celeste worriedly approaches, Lana extends a hand and gently caresses the woman’s shoulder, “I once had abilities like yours, though I had to sacrifice them to save my little sister. I understand that this can all be overwhelming.” She rolls her eyes and discretely motions to Corrine, “Believe me! I get your concern!” It seems to put the teen at ease, and Lana smiles, “Tiber is right, I do have a friend that is a healer, and I’m sure she would love to have you at her practice.” As for Bjorn? He will have to stand in line, because Lana had her hopes of setting the hippie woman up with Gordyn! After a few moments, and once everyone agrees that they are ‘in’ the pack, everyone seems to drift to different corners of the room in pairs. Violet excitedly plans out how she will decorate her room to Celeste, Bjorn is trying out some pick up lines on Corrine to see which will make the ladies swoon, Tybalt shows Lana all of his art projects that he had complete during the week and assures her that he likes -most- vegetables as long as they aren’t in any shade of green, and Greyson stands proudly at Tiber’s side in deep discussion with the man. For a few moments, the anger is gone and the group is filled with hopes of a promising future, but there is one important thing that’s left for everyone to discuss and it’s Bjorn that snaps his fingers and calls for attention, “So… Now that we are a pack… We will need a name, right?” Pause. “How about Bro’s and Ho’s?! It’s got character!” Corrine scoffs, “Why not just call us the ‘Misfits’ and be done with it?” Lana laughs, her first true laugh since entering the room and she shakes her head, and she joins in on the fun “Why not something that has to do with the moon? I know that wolves are heavily influenced by the cycle!” As if on cue, each person turns to get Tiber’s take on the issue.

Tiber feels the wave of relief once Lanara smiles. It takes the edge off, really, and soon enough, it seems as if something is right when everyone settles down. Once the pairs wander on opposite sides of the room, Tiber is explaining to Greyson that he had brought bows and different weapons to suit each individual. Tiber explains that soon he will scout for land for the new place to be. In the meantime, Tiber wants Greyson and Bjorn to teach other people skills with weaponry before Tiber trains them to control their inner wolf through the change. Then, Bjorn is hollering across the way about being called ‘Bro’s and Ho’s’ and Tiber slaps a hand to his face. On a drunken night Tiber would agree with Bjorn, but tonight was not the night. ‘Misfits’ had been too cliche and the man runs his hand through his hair before catching eyes on him for a name. “A cycle. Y’all’s moods go up and down each different day. You’re all the spitting image of a lunation. Changing.” Lunation. Amber eyes saunter over to Lanara’s. The man stares long and hard at her… the wolf’s kiss on her left wrist. Tiber’s wolf bit her. Their link was tied. Those chocolate eyes were golden like his on the turn. The moon had also shown a golden hue that reflected in their irises. If they were going to run a pack together, there had to be a tie to the title. “The Amber… Moo--No.” He frowns. Eyes look at each individual person. The difference in each person. The changing of moods within the group. And their ever-changing leaders. They were all misfits. “The Amber Lunation.” There was not really a choice on the matter, for the title felt right in his mind.

Lanara feels the familiar tingle of butterflies swell inside and she no longer knows if they are her feelings towards Tiber, or Asha’s emotions calling to Luca. It doesn’t matter, because they are one and the same. She had been crazy about the Catalian for years and those feelings only magnified once they made things official, she loved him long before the change, and as their eyes connect she cannot help but splay her lush lips into a wide smile. He may be the Alpha of the pack, but he’s the Alpha of her heart, her mate for life, and -nothing- will change that. His amber eyes shift from her to each member as he thinks on a name, and Lana glances at Corrine, only to find the blonde staring. There’s a moment of hesitance, before the witch gives a curt nod, and Corrine surprisingly returns it. The silent understanding is a truce, they are each giving the other the benefit of the doubt, in order for the pack to survive. However, if the woman steps out of line, Lanara has no qualms about unleashing Asha, or using her magic to put her in her place. Bjorn whines as Tiber rejects his choice of a title, and it seems that Violet and Celeste both sigh in relief, as though they thought the group would truly consider it! Amber Lunation. The pair of words feels right to the witch, and being one that is attuned to her intuition, she applauds, “I love it! The Amber Lunation!” She puts the pieces together on how he had come to the decision and if they were in private she would have pressed a kiss to his lips and complimented his choice. The pride in her expression is obvious, and is seems that the others are in mutual agreement as everyone joins in on the applause for formation of The Amber Lunation!

Tiber lets out a smirk at Lanara’s applause and then the rest. “Sounds pretty good, right?” There are definitely finger guns going to Greyson and Bjorn right now. The man then looks at the supportive witch. She knew and in their link, there was a sense of ease. Oh, and he is totally going to kiss Lanara right now. The man leans down to press a passionate kiss on the woman’s lips in front of the rest. Perhaps this was also a moment of claiming the woman in front of the rest of the group. Lanara was his mate and by his side through thick and thin. Best of all, she was alive and in his arms. He pulls back before raising a hand to slow the clapping down. “Alright, alright. Now that that’s official, the next few days are going to be busy. We are going to start assigning jobs to members and giving each one of you connections to people who can help give you a base to start working. Greyson, Lanara, and I will work on plotting out land and space for the new gig--not Lanara and I’s gig, but -your- gig. Bjorn and Greyson, you are also in charge of working on combative skills with everyone. Even little Ty. I will try to set up some separate time to bring pods out to start working on handling emotional skills and controlling your inner wolf.” He also needed to start thinking about when the first full moon would be, but for now, that would have to wait. “We will go somewhere other than this place to work on those things. For now, I want you all to get some rest. I’ll assign some tasks tomorrow.” He then turns to Lanara. “Luna of the Amber Lunation,” he winks before sliding away from her to exit the unit. Tiberius was on another cloud today.
